This is literally the most Slaent elite post in this whole forum. Even more than all the car photos.
By reilo Go To PostWhich one did you go with?Bistro MD instead of some of the more designer stuff out there actually.
Its been a pretty solid trial period actually. May switch it up but these are pretty dope considering how much of a hassle it is to shop and cook out here. I'll probably end up saving money considering how much I order out.

A cyber truck though
By domino Go To Postthis Bistro MD thing looks like Home Chef but way more expensiveThere's a lot of different options out there. I had a voucher for this one, but I was initially going to try Trifecta Nutrition or something else.
Now that I know this stuff is actually a thing and pretty damn good, I'll probably start getting more into never shopping again unless there's a specific occasion I'm looking forward to.
Won't lie though. Living in DC is what brought this hatred out me.

but yeah, i was looking at how much i was spending on the day to day doing work stuff.... It was getting ridiculous. I don't splurge on stuff really, but I get really 'accepting' of certain expenses. Food is always the worst. I don't think twice about how much some food on the way to x office costs or how much I spend eating at y place.
Then shopping healthy just takes even MORE fucking time on top of being expensive. Then I gotta cook too? Naw. I find no enjoyment in any of the process and work kicks my ass plenty as is.
I eat one meal per day, so it almost doesn't matter how trash it is regarding calories. My thing is watching salt.
Best way to like cooking if you mostly don't is to honestly get a house where the stove top overlooks out into the living room.

that's about what i spend going out between lunch and dinner. maybe 35 if i splurge on sushi or something.

i'd rather be doing literally anything else

Time is money
By /sy Go To PostI’m confused as to where they get the savings from. The sale price is nowhere near the amount they say you save unless someone failed math every year of school

If you have the money, might as well have someone take care of your health for you. I dont see the problem.

Moving out for the first time next month (not including Asia excursion) and $500 for food seems nuts unless I go out often.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostThis is making me sweatIf you eat healthy every day for two meals a day and want some variety day-to-day, even if you hit up a grocery store, you are looking at $300 a month, easy. With no going out. That's only $5 a meal.

If you are ok cooking in bulk and eating the same one or two things for an entire week, you can eat healthy food for a bit cheaper. But between perishable goods and wanting to avoid the cheap processed foods and such, you are going to have to drop a lot of money each month just to eat.
E: not to mention all the time spent cooking and picking out/deciding on what to buy. Especially when deal hunting.
E2: and if you don't already have all the cooking tools you need to make what you want, you have to buy those, too

You can also cook in bulk eat it for one or two days and put the rest in a freezer.
Honestly got no problem with eating the same thing 2-3 times a week, as winter usually means alot of stews, soup and similar stuff anway. The stews especially get better after 1-2 days.
