By Smokey Go To Postwhy you always backwards lolshit is real man. wake up like wtf only good shit happen when i'm dreaming?
give me the parasites taking up residence in my nostrils again instead of some What Dreams May Come sequence where my girlfriend meets my family
By domino Go To PostTfw you have dreams so good that you wake up and cry cause it's not your life.
By data Go To PostI have legitimately never had a coherent enough dream to make me feel one way or the other.Let me tell you about the multiple recurring dreams I have where I see friends dieing painful deaths in a multitude of different ways. Each just barely outside of my capabilities to save them.
Or the other recurring dreams where I am hiding from some kind of evil force only to wake up hours later when they finally and inevitably catch me.
I could tell you about the last dream I had where Kermit the Frog was having a heart attack and I gave him the Heimlich because that's how you prevent a heart attack
By data Go To PostI could tell you about the last dream I had where Kermit the Frog was having a heart attack and I gave him the Heimlich because that's how you prevent a heart attackI wish I had cool dreams like that. My 'cool' ones would fit in the world of Gantz.
well there were also robot babies that this dude kept around and i'm pretty sure he was fucking them and they kept crawling at us with this weird look on their face.
Like the concepts are familiar in my dreams but they don't fuction how they actually function.

Most of my dreams involved dying in the most creative ways possible and leave me filling physically ill or exhausted the next day.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostI once had a dream where I was in a relationship. That was cruel.for your dream partner, im sure

yep nothing like waking up in a full sweat, heart racing and out of breath
I don’t remember what I dreamt the other night but for half an hour my heart rate was 120 according to m Apple Watch
By domino Go To Postyep nothing like waking up in a full sweat, heart racing and out of breathI have no reason to be in a sinking oil platform waiting to die. None. But fuck it why not live that life in my sleep. Watch as the one secure room cracks from the pressure and hear the metal shriek around you.
Why the fuck wouldn't you die like this?

Edit: Sorry to hear Kib, hope yo moms gettin better ASAP
Thanks for the well wishes, friends. Moms said she is feeling much better and is now starting to be able to skip taking pain medication. Will be three months at least before she can attempt to walk, though.
By Lunatic Go To PostWhen you get older you will understand. Living just outside the City is a much better environment. Also you can order anything you need. Also night life gets stale as you get older so vacations are much more sensible. You just had a kid recently so I suspect your opinion will change when they get older.
I'm already with you in this, I'm moving just outside of London for that very reason however I just could never envisage myself moving to a mansion in devon or something like that
Man glad i'm off to the USA next week so i can dump my domestic stress and anxiety for a few weeks. Looking forward to the "random" checks at the airport.
By Kibner Go To PostI mentioned it in discord (thanks for the support!) but my mom had surgery to repair a fractured tibia yesterday. I stayed with her last night in case she needed anything.
Her nerve blockers will wear off at some point today, and she will feel excruciating pain when they do. She will also have her leg immobilized and not allowed to put weight on it for the next three months. For a person that moves around as much as she does, this is going to be killer. :(
I'm so damn glad her sister lives next door and her niece and godson both live down the road so that she is able to reach help more timely than me living a five minute drive away. I'm watching her dog right now so it doesn't get underfoot while she can't walk. Visit her during my lunch break every day to make sure she ate and doesn't need anything.
This is rough, but it's going to be nothing compared to when she eventually gets too old to care for herself. :(
Hope everything works out for her.
And my last day at my current job is a wrap. Everything turned in, it's over. About 7.5 years in, and I'm vested in all of the financial plans. I get 128 hours of vacation paid out to me. Never touched any of my 2018 days, only used vacation that I carried over from 2017. Got the rest of the week to be a bum before starting at the new spot on Monday.
These last two weeks have been moving slow af too. But looking forward to starting over next week.

Speaking of dreams, I had one earlier today where I realised things weren’t real while inside of it - but just as I was about to open the door for the outside world to cause a ruckus my ass woke up.
It’s happened before and I hate it.

Yeah, I plan to. I'm not one that takes a lot of vacation anyway as evidenced by my 2017 carryover, and my untouched 2018 time.
Results of my interview finally came, I got the job!
As it is a government job, other candidates have 10 days to present any complaint about the process.
The selection had 2 sections, one based on the CV and the other based on the interview, I had the highest mark on both so I am not worried.
Should start on October.
I am incredibly happy, this could be my life settled.
Jobs in IT are hard to find here and a job in the local government is probably the most secure job one could find.
Things are looking good.

Made the decision to go for a house. i need to talk with a loan officer for some questions i have. after looking this week, the amount id be paying to be closer to the new work spot is pretty high, and it'd be strictly for convenience. The real awakening was that we'd be moving back out ANYWAY in a few years once my son is of age for kindergarten, so knowing all of that does it really make sense to continue throwing expensive rent into a "black hole"? No. . So lets getit then. Fender pls.

There's a freedom and everything that comes with it.
Particularly a standalone house.
But everything in this world has a cost.
