You're not confused. I've scheduled a POD. Should make packing easier. They'll happily store and charge my ass until I find a place for them to send my shit. It's a similar price to getting a uhaul and storage for the first couple months, but then it starts to get more pricey with each passing month. Upside is I don't have to unload into storage to load it back up again. I don't want to look for very long. Interest rates aren't going down ...
I was planning on doing my termite repairs too ... not with this escrow window though. Not enough time. Thankfully the buyer who backed out sent me their inspection report so I was able to make some repairs this weekend I think will show up again.
I'm hoping the inspection happens tomorrow so I can have the contingency removed by Thursday. I want to take both Thur and Friday off for packing.
Good luck with all that. Moving is stressful enough with a longer window. We had some time so we got some stuff into boxes but we were still living in our place for a while and waiting on stuff to go through. Then suddenly it did and we had to get out within no time, which was kind of shit since it was like "wait a month oh now you gotta be out in like a couple days". Across states even. Luckily we had some chill people on standby. We paid good for it but they got all of our stuff here. No idea what we would have done without the social connections my fam had made just being decent people to contractors and realtors in the past.
I'm gonna need it. I have some family helping. We have 3 days after escrow closes to get stuff out too. worst case I'm up there in the evenings after work too.

Got the entire house packed in 4 days. Took Thursday and Friday off. Which played right into the buyers hands. They requested a 7 day escrow knowing we would have to start to react if we wanted to hit that target. We started escrow last Monday. They couldn't get inspection until Friday. They said they would have the report by Friday night. Didn't happen. They filed an extension to Monday. In the meantime I'm packing my pod. Monday morning the inspection report comes over and buyer wants a 10K credit. Today is going to be a fun day for me. No stress at all. Closure is Wednesday now if we can negotiate this.
