stasis warlock is one of the most powerful subclasses in the game in both pve and pvp man. more stasis weapons in the pool just opened up so much....
also the new gloves allow even more bleakwatcher fukkery. void has a lot of stuff going for it due to the artifact bump and accessibility - but good god did they really need that

By i can get you a toe Go To Postwait the new lock exotic allows for even more lock stasis turret shenanigans?it takes ONE direct hit to start the infinite loop. not just in 6 man activities or whatever, but in GMs it will lock champions permanently and it works on raid bosses
how is that weak
one direct hit - and you get a free grenades. so a turret and another coldsnap to keep it going. plus shard/well/orbs for the homies and all that advantages those proc. there isn't a single thing in void that gives you that much power with so little investment or setup.
Started playing after not having played for a few years.
These 3 man raid "dungeons" are exactly what this game needed all along.

God damn steam and destiny 2 are such a f'in pill sometimes. If you're on PC and the bitch doesn't want to load keep restarting steam till you don't get the news/ad pop up or the "latest one."

Did "the prophecy" going in having no idea what it was with friends. So much better than old strikes.
Most recent dungeon had me apologizing legit to my teammates for my performance. Avarice or w/e. Died to traps like 10 times. It was truly an embarrassment.

That's what the assholes I played with did 😂

Gradually completing catalysts for exotic weapons:
I have only completed catalysts during this expac. None from before. lol It helps that several of these were already halfway done and also that catalysts drop a lot more often than last time I played.
Only have a few left to do, pending further drops and finishing other quests to get catalysts:
- SUROS
- Cerberus+1
- Crimson
- No Time To Explain
- Osteo Striga
- Sturm
- The Huckleberry
- Ace of Spades
- Fighting Lion
- Graviton Lance
- Skyburner's Oath
- Trinity Ghoul
- The Wardcliff Coil
- Tractor Cannon
- Grand Overture

After many hours of IB, I can say with confidence that I've been killed by more warlocks that never actually shot me than anything else.

By Kibner Go To PostWhat is the secret to this? i guess there's just a lot of stuff you can play behind. holding corners and laning in destiny is just hard times in general because of how hard it is to tell if its a fair fight.... but axion bolts force opponents to either run, take their eyes off you and shoot the bolt, or try to continue fighting while taking a big hit. charged its even scarier. pocket singularity will push anyone rushing you off long enough to get clipped by anything else. children of the old gods has a HUGE aoe - and it procs weaken plus other shenanigans.
i don't play warlock so i can't say the best way to push with all those tools, but i know that trying to get through all that shit just to meet a shotgun or get 1 tapped on the way out is what i've got to adjust to the most right now
Here's some balance changes I'd make:
Overshield barrier: Reduces cooldowns for as long as you're in it.
Invisibility: Weakened status during invis. So essentially if someone gets first shot on you while you're in that state, you're down bad.
I haven't really had any issues with void locks. Seem to have gotten the short end of the stick with void 3.0.

without invis, void hunters have nothing lol. waiting for the real backlash to start there tbh. you get nothing for going invis now, and it starts slower while the inherent speed bump to top tree is gone too.
I think the cooldown stall on overshield would be a good tradeoff though. I don't particularly mind most void titans because they're too in love with their barricade, its ones that realize they can chain things while mobile that are strong

Sentinel Titan's Bastion barricade now takes 20% increased damage from player sources.
This damage bonus stacks with other sources of anti-emplacement damage like the Hakke Breach Armaments origin trait or Anti-Barrier Rounds.
Targets with Void invisibility active now ping the radar for 0.6 seconds every 3 seconds until invisibility ends. Normal radar visibility rules still apply (i.e., double jumping or sprinting pings the radar).
Note: Now that we’ve seen feedback and data from the first weekend of Trials in Season 16, we wanted to take a few steps to address a few outliers in the Void 3.0 subclass kits.
These changes are targeted specifically at PvP and don’t affect the PvE sandbox.
We believe that some frustration stems from prevalence and will taper off over time as additional subclasses are brought into the 3.0 system, but wanted to address what we can before the next Trials weekend.
As always, we’ll be on the lookout for feedback and will adjust where needed.
Fixed an issue where Child of the Old Gods could damage some targets through immunity shields.
While the Child will not be put on time out, it now knows better and has issued heartfelt apologies to all targets that it has damaged through immunity.
We are thankful to have such a good Child, and are proud of them.

Yeah my invis change would have been better. Risk/reward for those advantageous surprise attacks. This basically nukes its use from a radar advantage standpoint, which was kind of the whole point of the thing. I'd have to look more at the non invis frags/aspects to know if its still a viable class in PVP really.
Yea I'm not gonna mess with patterns in general right now. As a Destiny vet you start to be able to sus out systems that are guaranteed to see adjustments. These will be way more accessible after future patches.
At least this latest patch should be addressing the PC performance. After about an hour or so, FPS goes through the floor.

It took forever, but we got all the patterns from the wellspring activity. Still working on the ones from the war table, but that requires a ton of umbral engrams (or was it umbral energy? I don't remember).

The Ascendent Alloys required for slotting in Enhanced Traits are the worst part of the weapon crafting system, imo. There is no casual way to get them. Either 400 legendary shards, grinding a rep up to lvl 16, or doing activities that don't allow matchmaking. It's a struggle.
I should have known Bungie would have made the crafting system worse than what it should be due to RNG (acquiring patterns) and grinding (ascendant alloys).

With all that said, we have been able to craft a fair few of the pattern weapons:
Kinetic:
Energy:
Power:
The only one that I have spent ascendant alloys on is the Osteo Striga.
Kinetic:
- Empirical Evidence
- Ragnhild-D
- Forensic Nightmare
- Fel Taradiddle
- Thoughtless
- Syncopation-53
- Osteo Striga
Energy:
- Pointed Inquiry
- The Enigma
- Likely Suspect
- Father's Sins
- Come to Pass
Power:
- Tarnation
- Red Herring
- Palmyra-B
- Recurrent Impact

your luck definitely better than mine
also i'm a pvp player first - so getting dozens of deepsight drops i never intend to use is kinda..... grating after a while. feel like you should be able to dismantle them to just a partial amount of mats at least. doesn't need to be a lot. but they're just not organic to pvp playlist stuff

Yeah, being primarily PvP only will definitely cut out a lot of that. My partner really likes to do a variety stuff which is why we have unlocked as many patterns as we have, since different activities drop different ones. I tend to just get very single-minded and grind a single thing till I'm done with it. lol
By DY_nasty Go To PostAlways floored by differences in PC and Console PVP environment
Meanwhile I just play with controller on PC and do fine lol
invis is an issue
The mechanics behind invis haven't changed much, but what has changed is the fact that the class tied to it is SUPER viable now.
Previously, the only class capable of high uptime invis was tied to a terrible super.
That's gone now, and they now have access to instant invis via melee as well. The radar change wasn't enough. Even though invis isn't true invis, if it succeeds in slowing down your reaction time even slightly, it can be the difference between you getting in the first shot or not.

We need crucible 3.0.
I guess I imagine that to be a situation where all maps are deleted except for in a casual playlist, with 4 or 5 new maps with a completely different mindset are used for the ranked playlists.

Introduce levers to tune how players build for airborne gunplay
Destiny has extremely fluid and expressive airborne movement, but that movement must be balanced against grounded players lest it become oppressive. We want players who enjoy that play style to be able to build into it, but they'll have to make tough choices about what they leave behind to do so. Successfully engaging in the air will no longer be as simple as "put an Icarus Grip mod on it," but the upside for heavily investing in it will be higher.
LOL this gonna be gud
Skips got nerfed for reasons I don't understand at all. Only thing that makes sense is if Arc 3.0 is gonna provide a way for the recharge on those to be wild.
Honestly...void was kinda wack all the way around in crucible for a while. So the fact that it's hitting so hard right now makes me nervous AF for Arc and Solar 3.0. Shit...aint nobody wanna see chaos reach back in the meta again.

im guessing arc 3.0 is gonna have some on grenade-hit type of proc and they're trying to get out ahead of it early of something... idk. nobody uses skips anymore anyways
and yeah i like what void 3.0 has done overall for the game in a lot of ways. i just also think its being propped up by the artifact something crazy. but i don't dislike pvp right now either, i've just had other shit to play. and with all the gradual changes coming i'm in no hurry to force things really
