Can't believe I didn't know that when Rooney did that celebration to reveal the "once a blue always a blue" vest he put an apostrophe in 'always'.
He really is a street kid who made it. It's kind of wonderful.

also Dave is a guest judge/host?
Horizon's conversation wheel is pretty interesting. The game doesnt let you change outcomes but the responses you can give is essentially how you believe the character would react in the situation. Linear roleplaying, basically.
Also yeah, seems like the main character is a chosen one who have people falling head over heels for. Only difference to most games with this writing is the gender of the protagonist. It's not anything new... but story is tight, with some good world building.
The gameworld isnt that big but all the areas are on its own unique. Not to mention that peppered everywhere is the ruins of our civilisation.

sounds like a poor man's BioWare. if that's even possible.

Ran into my first Thunderjaw, got nowhere near the healing resources necessary to fight it yet. Also avoided a fight with a bird thing. Hunting challenges give you so much xp, spent all my shards on the best stealth outfit available to me.
Does every single weapon have a tutorial?
By jtb Go To Postsounds like a poor man's BioWare. if that's even possible.Yeah, it reminds me of bioware's stories at times.
The difference is it works, it's fun, and it's engaging. It isnt bogged down by superfluous stuff.
By Hitch Go To PostOn my way to Meridian, think I've done everything in the Sacred LandsAh. This is where it gets harder. The new area is fucking beautiful though.

Just remember to check the beastiary for help if you are having trouble to take down an enemy.
The Bellowbacks and Sawtooths just rip through my resources :(
Found the invenory management complaint someone made yesterday here a bit strange, but then again I upgraded my carry capacities asap so haven't had to drop anything yet
Personally find the equipment UI very easy to use, in terms of selecting weapons/ammo on the fly and sorting out my mods. Find it especially impressive how easy it is to craft ammo while fighting.
What do you do with your resources marked 'Trade with Merchants'? Are they necessary to be able to buy certain things?

Can't properly start Horizon until I have finished TW3. I am nearing the end-game, incredibly deep game.

As someone who has played everything in the genre from Diablo 1/2/3 to Torchlight 1/2, Titan Quest, Sacred, Van Helsing, Marvel Heroes, Dungeon Siege, Grim Dawn, etc. etc. I can tell you without hyperbole that no other game comes close to its depth, flexibility, developer support and systems/economy design.
Most people who say that just ran around a couple of minutes in it, died, thought: "it doesn't feel like Diablo 3" and wrote it off. It is the pinnacle of this particular sub-genre (isometric, loot-based action RPG).
By inky Go To PostYou are completely wrong.Probably just not for me then.

I played PoE on multiple occasions for hours at a time and just didn't like it at all.
What an amazing DMV experience they really seem to have their shit together. Cherry on top though was waiting 30 minutes to travel .3 miles after. No exaggeration, I spent more time in that little stretch on my way home than I did in the DMV
By Cleff Go To PostNier, Zelda and Horizon are getting those GotY scores and it's only March. Still a load of games to come out.Pretty sure 98 had
This year may rival the the 2004 GOAT year when San Andreas, Halo 2 and Half Life 2 had their releases.

Crash bandicoot 3
Age of Empires

I renewed last year, got my ticket, went next store for a slice of pizza and within ten minutes my number came up. It still seems hectic but everyone is working and stuff flows. Way different than I remembered it being five years prior.
By Tom Go To PostIt's absolutely incredible. Just got out of the starting area after probably 3-4 hours of playtime, there's no ingame clock/counter so I don't know the exact time.Incredible
It's amazing how they throw you into it and you're free to do whatever you want. Combat is fun, exploring is amazing, enemies are smart and actually pretty tough at times (I've been 1 shot numerous times) if you don't dodge at the right time etc.
Sure there is slow down occasionally but it doesn't take away from the experience or anything, the game is still fabulous.

It can be a little obtuse at the start, but once you get deep into it there's just a lot there. It's also a lot faster nowadays (getting to lvl 90 only takes a few days now, experienced players do it in 1 or 2), and more and more focused on clearspeed and bosses with different mechanics. I don't fault anyone for not liking its visuals tho.
I think it's at its best point atm, and has been growing incredibly with almost 1 million active players per month iirc.
