30m+ active users who put in 100 hours each two+ years into its life is "I don't see it" ? What numbers are you reading?
That was of when? May last year? I wouldnt be surprised if Overwatch has more active users since its launch.
The numbers do add up more than anything. Especially when you look at how the player count has stayed massive for 3 years and DLC still does leading numbers. The titles you're bringing up survive for 8 months tops.
As for CoD, if their next release isn't a staggering success, activision is almost guaranteed to shift gears to Titanfall
Edit: inaccurate, I forgot that's EA!

BF sells year round.
Overwatch is the new TF2 but bigger, i dont see it dropping.
8 months tops? Lol
Rdr2 will outsell destiny 2 and if it's online support is as well done as GTO then it'll perform better over time as well.

Destiny: Rise of Iron generated $59.1 million in digital revenues in September 2016, according to analyst firm Superdata. That’s a lot of cash, and doesn’t include physical sales of Destiny: The Collection.
That’s a lot of money, and here’s a very interesting comparison: the original vanilla Destiny generated combined physical and digital revenues of $47.5 million during its launch month of September 2014, according to court filings which came to light last year. That wass combined physical and digital revenue, too.
^^ September 2016
Overwatch has been steering into a wall since Halloween. Shit, if anyone benefit from IW being trash it was them.
And BF can stay a constant all year, it'd never touch Destiny though lol.

Battlefield 1, in comparison for digital sales, a month later:
That's at $60 instead of RoI's $30 which didn't have a PC release.
Unsurprisingly, Battlefield 1 was the top-grossing console game during October, and the no.7 title on PC. Earning the best-selling new release status brought it a decent $70 million in revenue on consoles alone, and a $110 million across all platforms.

By reilo Go To Post^^ September 2016That seems...low?
http://segmentnext.com/2016/10/05/gta-online-revenue-exceeded-700-million/
Gta online generated 700mil in revenue over 12 months.
Bruh that's for a $30 expansion in a single month -- not including microtransactions. Battlefield 1, in comparison, made $70mil across consoles in digital sales at $60 per.
Shame that theres no mainline bf this year.
RDR2 will definitely outsell destiny 2 though. Im not even sure thats arguable.

I aint gonna lie im getting hyped for Horizon after watching all the previews. Combat looks fun and jesus the art is killing me.
By s y e Go To PostI really dont see it happen. Numbers arent adding it up.I mean, you care enough to be wrong for an entire page.
Its like saying watch dogs 2 would outsell uncharted 4.
Id bet if i cared.
And they way overwatch is pacing, just hit 20m players, id be surprised if it didnt eclipse destiny by the time another character is added. That fanbase is growing at a rate ive never seen before.
By Professor Beef Go To PostI mean, you care enough to be wrong for an entire page.I guess so.
Why am i wrong though?
Bruh, the story in Berseria is just brutal.
I just got to the part where the group return's to Velvet's hometown. You knew something was wrong. The characters all knew something was wrong.
And it just didn't matter. Still gut wrenching watching Velvet go through all that.
The only recently played RPG with characters I cared about more than this group is Trails in the Sky. I'm so glad I bought Berseria.

By s y Go To PostIf the game is ugly how can you care about the story? It has a coherent art style, fluid animations, and a good frame rate. That's all that's needed for a game to look good. *shrug*
By s y Go To PostYour definition of fluid animation is much different than mine's.I guess so because there is nothing janky about the animations in Berseria so I have no idea what you are talking about.
I don't find the animations to be smooth. Im not sure of the technical term but maybe blending? Animations dont flow into each other as well as they should, its like the model resets itself after any command rather than having the proper amont of transitional, in between frames of recovery, the animation lacks weight. It's like watching an animation where they could did not have anough time to complete the in betweens for the key frames.
Judging from the graphics, im assuming its a super duper budget title so I cant be too harsh I guess.
If you told me that it was a remastered ps2 game I'd believe you.

Almost done with re7
Game starts to become smokey tolerable levels of scary later on after the earlier fukkery, but I'm still enjoying it. Hoping the sequel is essentially Resident Evil 3 in first person--huge city you've got to escape full of zombies and classic RE puzzles everywhere along with nightmare dude that just won't die that can show up at any time. Combat needs to be improved a lot. Feels really bad.

Everything about her head is annoying. I don't know if I can look at that for 50-80 hours of my time on this earth.
50-80 hours? I bet that game is 20 hours tops. And I bet in MP you can play as different characters.

Open world-type things with lots of dots on the map always take me around that long.
Nioh is a bit weird
There's so much crazy shit, but the gear, which is where you want the outlandish shit to occasionally be, seems to be the most grounded part. Everything looks like something that actually existed, aside from the odd weapon that's infused with an element.

i like that about the game :)
By knux-future Go To PostI feel like Horizon is going to disappoint a lot of people. Some crazy expectations out there.
Yep
I'm anxiously awaiting the meltdowns I
By Smokey Go To PostYepI don't think I've ever curved my enthusiasm on a game pre-release like this.

By s y Go To PostIt's a sony exclusivetru. But all it takes is one bad review for meltdowns sadly.
It's not like itll review bad.
Also true.
The combat looks like like fun and the graphics and art are uncharred level. Good enough for me.
I thought all the enemies would just be shoot until its dead, apparently not. Zero G robo dinos? Aight then.

By Red Blaster Go To Post2nd boss in nioh absolutely crushing meYeah, hardest part of the game so far imo, I'm about to leave the second region.
p insane difficulty spike so early in the game
Ended up turtling her a bit. Keep your distance to avoid her spinning attack and her grab, bait her into the purple wave attack which you can dodge through if you do it right as she fires it off. That lets you get 1 or two hits in depending on stance. Same is true of her flying attack, but there's a much wider hitbox on that. If you stay to the edges of the arena when she does it, she leaves herself with her back turned and close to you so you can get more hits in. Try to save thrown ninjitsu for when she's in the air, you can knock her down and it leaves her vulnerable. When she starts her 3-hit combo (not the one with the umbrella) move closer after the second attack. Sometimes she stops after the second, so maintain enough distance to get away. Normally she'll do the flip-kick though, and when you see that she's doing it, run in as fast as you can and get a couple of hits in.
Once you're comfortable enough, you can go a little more on the offensive early on as that's when she seems easiest to get her Ki down. Also see if you have enough Onmyo points for an Anti-Paralysis spell. The gear you get with that attribute has a low defense value iirc.
I very much appreciate the speed with which you can get back to and into the bosses in Nioh. Personally think that the time between bonfire/lantern and bosses in the Souls games is time wasted.
Not to stop you from posting in here Hitch, but we do got a Nioh thread! http://slaent.com/thread/985328/

Wasn't sure if Red Blaster knew about it though, and didn't wanna post across threads y'know
Plus if I can drag my posts out across multiple threads, I'll haul in psy in no time after his posting spree earlier :P
