Finished Mind Hunter S2, so good. Definitely better than season 1.
Man, those BTK cold opens and the ending scene were so creepy.

By Zabojnik Go To PostFinished Mindhunter S2. Man, they must've really not given much of a fuck about black kids disappearing and getting killed back then in Atlanta.
As for the season, I thought it followed an arc similar to that of S1, started out strong and then slowly went semi-flaccid, like they didn't exactly know what to do with it. Still compelling television and the ending is good, but yeah. I almost wish they'd come up with a fantasy serial killer.
Might want to sit down for this news then
By s y ngmi Go To PostSmh stayed up till 4 watching Mind HunterI did the same thing, 3 more episodes to go HNGGGG.
Hope I can make it to the end of the day.

Netflix's TV app is pissing me off. It doesn't go higher than 720p and is stuck at 480p most of the time.
I run their speedtest and it says that it's a 70Mbs, it's more than enough for 4K HDR.
Haven't watched Mindhunter because of this.

Can't as it is considered a system app, remote even has a dedicated button to Netflix.
Tested the network a few more times and it's not stable. Probably going to get a powerline adapter so I can connect the TV through ethernet.

Netflix did the right thing and put it out of its misery
By Zabojnik Go To PostFinished Mindhunter S2. Man, they must've really not given much of a fuck about black kids disappearing and getting killed back then in Atlanta.but the horror lies in precisely these real stories and mostly accurate interviews.

I actually thought the season got better once they switched their focus to Atlanta, the start was a bit of a mess. Lots of uninteresting side stories
I only remember hearing of the Atlanta child killings from a random Goodie Mob member verse on the Dungeon Family album compilation. That should be a landmark serial killer story in America. But black kids tho...

Topic hit a bit close to home
By reilo Go To PostSo, Mindhunter finale, did he do it or nah?If you are talking about Wayne Williams in real life:
DNA testing was performed in 2010 on scalp hairs found on the body of 11-year-old victim Patrick Baltazar. While the results were not firmly conclusive, the DNA sequence found appears in only 29 out of 1,148 African-American hair samples in the FBI's database. The Baltazar case was included among ten additional victims presented to the jury at Williams' trial, although he was never charged in any of those cases. Dog hairs also found on Baltazar's body were tested in 2007 by the genetics laboratory at the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, which found a DNA sequence also present in the Williams family's German shepherd. However, the director of the laboratory, Elizabeth Wictum, pointed out that while the results were "fairly significant", they were not conclusive. Only mitochondrial DNA was tested which, unlike nuclear DNA, cannot be shown to be unique to one dog. This means that while the report said the hairs on the bodies contained the same DNA sequence as Williams' dog, the same DNA sequence occurs in about 1 in 100 dogs.
combines for a 99.98% chance
By s y ngmi Go To Postso basically its up in the airAt least the number of victims.
The fiber from Williams home was another big point.
Kinda curious if they're going to use the dude at the beginning of each episode throughout every season, considering they only got him in 2004 or so.

Movie of the year
I thought it was pretty Mindunhters was pretty average.
Didn't like the personal dramas that were pretty weak. Thought the whole pannic attack shit was gonna have some role to play, but it was meaningless. The whole Wendy relationship plot seemed to be only of importance to actually have her be in the final few episodes. Thought Bill's storyline would actually have an impact on the investigation and Ford fucking up, but nope.
The whole choice of case to focus on was also pretty poor.
I enjoyed the acting though.

Aaron Paul co-starred in one of the biggest series on TV and getting a recurring spot on West World is the mountain top?
Yeah his career has been flopping ever since that need for speed movie
once can argue that outside of his role as Jessie, he's been a pretty bad actor.

Could be both
Aaron Paul seems like a chill dude and not really looking for critically acclaimed roles, just happy doing shit.
Same as Bryan Cranston.
