Everyone should all watch The Jinx, the HBO documentary series about likely killer Robert Durst. The finale aired tonight and it was phenomenal.

Did HBO really find new evidence that lead to Durst being arrested again?
And how do you admit to cutting up and disposing of a body and not get convicted of murder?
By IWMTB19Did HBO really find new evidence that lead to Durst being arrested again?Yeah. It's the big reveal at the end of episode five and then here tonight they go to experts to make sure it fits. I don't want to spoil it (although I'm guessing it's in news articles and such), it's a legitimately shocking moment.
And how do you admit to cutting up and disposing of a body and not get convicted of murder?
His murder trial is wild. His lawyers hammer home the part about dismemberment not being a crime and frame the killing as self-defense. Because you dismember a body when you kill in self-defense? What?
Perhaps the most insane thing I've never figured out is that Durst actually went to Andrew Jarecki, the filmmaker who fictionalized Durst's life into a movie in 2010, and asked him to make this series. What the fuck? Is he just the most arrogant guy in the world or did he want to get caught?
HOLY Fucking shit at the ending of The Jinx.
Combined with all the shit that just happened in the last two days surrounding this case....I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything like that in TV ever.
Was legit tense watching the last five minutes.

By VyerHOLY Fucking shit at the ending of The Jinx. The whole episode, the whole show was just riveting as hell. I can't believe Durst showed up sans lawyer for this second interview, especially when he had to have known that Jarecki had something damning considering he spent so long dodging him.

This show, this finale, it's everything that Serial wasn't.

To be fair to Serial (and most unsolved true crime stuff) you just don't get that type of closure usually. Jinx pulled off something pretty unique.
And yeah about 2nd interview, along with him bothering to contact the filmmakers in the first place, you can't help but wonder if he was looking to gloat or wanting to be caught.
The ending of the Jinx was crazy. The admission in the bathroom probably won't be allowed in court but the letter matching the note is enough for me. Then again this dude admitted to killing someone, cutting up their body, and throwing it into the ocean and still got away.
Kind of puts Adnan's interviews with Sarah Koenig in perspective.

Fingers crossed.

His defense will probably be, I went to her house, saw the body, then wrote the note. But wasn't it postmarked before the murder? I don't think that would stand up.
Finished Hello Ladies, including the movie. Starting Fargo today, finished the first ep of The Jinx.

One episode in on Fargo and it's great.
It's like the original Fargo mixed with No Country For Old Men, at least the first episode.

Watching a lot of TV is great fun.
Currently watching Kimmy Schmidt and HoC. Besides the weekly shows I keep up with it.
Moris how can you be watching this much? When you added me on followmytv I had watched more (like 2 hours), and now you're nearly a month ahead :lol And I've been watching at least 7 shows a week as well.

I added shows I had watched previously like The Wire and stuff....and I don't have a job atm, so I can burn through tons of stuff a day.
Started Fargo today and I'm almost done with the 5th episode. Gonna watch Bob's Burger and The Last Man on Earth with my gf once this episode is done.
Livin the dream.
I just started watching this new show called Agents of Shield. Fuck your snark because it's new to me.
Anywhoo, can someone explain to me why they did the homie Fitz like that at end of season 2? The writers on this show refused to let him be great and create little nerdy kids with accents with Simmons.
I only found this show because of my netflix subscription and the fact that my 8TB NAS is in the shop backing up my old iMac from 2006.
What are some shows I shouldlegally procure to fuck up these studio's blu-ray sales watch on television? Does HBO Now have all of their shows dating back to the 1996? I need to catch up on old content since the last time I had cable, not counting my two year run in college of course.

I can not recommend The Jinx enough. It´s what part of what I liked from Serial but so much better and more shocking.

really feels like they are going some sort of insanity/mental capacity route this time.
dude has been living in Houston off and on and the paper here went to the area of town he was staying in and generally hung out in. Went to restaurants and coffee shops and shit. Dude was a regular at Starbucks, where they all talked about him being pretty normal, coming in and drinking his same drink and leaving. Meanwhile down the road a bakery is talking about shit like this:
At Croissant Brioche, a French bakery Durst frequented two or three times a week, new employees immediately got a recap of his history, said one worker. Then they were offered this advice: "Don't get his order wrong or get him angry."
Durst was a creature of habit, always ordering the same meal - a ham sandwich with no ham. He also exhibited odd quirks, emptying a cup of coffee onto the floor, washing his hands under an urn that dispenses drinking water, referring to himself in the royal "we."
Anyone else watch iZombie? Wasn't half bad. CW has a pretty nice lineup of shows going at the moment, and they're probably the best in the business at crafting relatively diverse shows (well.... abnormally beautiful and diverse)
By Prototype ViktorCommunity ep 1 and 2 decent and Britta is still on the crazy hot chartThe first episode was a lot better than the second, but at least we got some Keith David. It's nice to have it back, even for just a few more episodes.
Community to me was always on the verge of being good but never quite made it gave up on it later than I should have too.
so it looks like i really dont have time in the next few months to curate this thread.
work and all.
any takers?

same here. i watched half of a yahoo episode for curiosity's sake but it looks really rough.
I just finished the first episode of the new Netflix series Bloodline and it seems great. And not just because Kyle Chandler will always have a place in my heart because of Friday Night Lights.

What do you mean by "curating this thread"? Isn't this the thread for the whole spring? Does it need updating or something?
Really enjoyed the iZombie premiere. It´s very similiar to Veronica Mars, which is a huge plus for me.

Ideally we have someone that updates it quite a bit, yes.

Game of Thrones, True Detective and even Hannibal (where we don't have any date confirmed) are in the opening post, so I'm not sure what should be updated?

doing Monthly season premieres posts, similar to what i've done to the movie thread.
updating the title with any major news.
new posts on relevant information and news worthy events.
My idea was to have a thread where people can discuss the shows they've seen,
discuss upcoming episodes, and generally keeping readers in the know on what's going on in TV land.
By psychintellectFinished episode 4 of the Jinx. That ending..........oh man this guy.
The last two eps is where the magic is.
Reading about the ending of the Kroll Show and seeing some clips..... I really should have watched The Kroll Show.
By blackace Go To Post Anyone checking out 12 Monkeys?
This is a late reply, but whatever;
Its shit. Stay away from it. One of the worst female protogensit I had to sit through and the acting all around is just poor, as well as the script. The mystery is one of the few good things about, but as of Episode 5, its started to drag a lot.
Are people still watching Better Call Saul?
I'm letting my DVR build up but I feel like I barely see anyone talking about it.

I've watched every episode except this past Monday's. I love it. The episode "Five-O" is one of the best hours of TV I've seen in a while.
