By kjack Go To PostGreat stoppage by the ref. Horn is a tough kid but he was going to get nothing but fucked up in the next round or so.Seriously. Most refs get caught up with that "he's still active shit". Byrd was on it like a pro. Anthony Joshua is watching somewhere disgusted.
By DY_nasty Go To Postim sitting that one out. all boxing/mma'd out after last weekend lol
Naw Spence is special, will stay up just to see the talent well I would but I can't find it anywhere in the UK.
err
Isn't the fight off/delayed because he's being made to make a mandatory defense of one of his belts? Or is it one of the belts where he could afford to lose it in favour of a more high-profile fight?

Is he basically pissing about with the Wilder negotiations to encourage the associations to enforce his mandatory defenses, providing more and more delays to the Wilder fight?

Long but good watch.
I do think both fighters want the fight. However I feel wilder has too chefs in his kitchen atm. I have a feeling someone in the camp didn't like the fact $15 million was accepted. Do I think $15 is a unfair if aj stands to make 50 million, sure you could see it that way, but then don't agree to the terms. But you got to respect aj is the a side, he's selling out 90,000 seater stadiums in the UK, I imagine doing anything from 8 to 10 million ppv per fight at £20 with a growing fan base in America. Wilders biggest pay day in life I think was 2.3 million, you average closer to 1.5. I think they're also using this as an opportunity to boost wilders profile tbh, hearn is offering you 5 million to fight anyone you want and 15 then for aj for 15. I don't see how you don't sign.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To Postm8 where did you get 8-10 million PPVs from? you mean revenue or total buys?
Sorry my bad (I miss heard) he says it in the video, Joshua is probably doing 1 to 1.5 million ppv buys - I've fixed/edited it.

lol, I was gonna say.
Yeah I think he does around those numbers. Impressive as fuck for UK only.
I wonder how much more of an audience he has in that regard after the Klitchsko fight. That seemed like one where nobody would regret paying for the PPV.

Would be interesting to see the numbers.
Say what you like about him, hearn has been a big part of boxing has been rivitalised in the UK. Matchroom was turning over 25 mill or so when he joined, they did 100 million last year. Think he's really going to shake things up in the USA with his mega deal, his presence alone is half the reason why broner (if true) was able to get a 50 mill for five fights imo.
Whether you think he's greedy and c*nt or watever, im pretty sure him going into the USA with the war chest he has from DAZN (a billion over 6 years) is just going to make the US scene more active. Tired of soo many good fighters being inactive.
$15m is a joke of an offer.
I don't believe either side with their shit talking though. They both be ducking for different reasons

By unknown Go To PostAJ is clearly ducking Wilder, Wilder was the one calling him out form the jump.
Its different calling someone out in public than actually signing to fight though init.
By KP Go To PostIts different calling someone out in public than actually signing to fight though init. And Wilder offered to fight in UK for peanuts. With AJs judges. On AJs schedule.
AJ isn't trying to make the fight happen. Great fighters run from certain matchups all the time. It is what it is.

Offered who? The press? His twitter followers? Just because hes saying it doesn't make it true. People lie all the time. Just don't believe any of the bullshit and you're golden

It's not that big of a deal. Floyd didn't get 50-0 fighting the most dangerous guys at their peaks. Disappointing, but ....it's boxing
By DY_nasty Go To PostIf anyone is fighting in the UK they're giving up free money right out the gate lolTo be fair floyd Called out mosley earlier and oscar too so I don't think he was afraid of them.

Then fine, if he feels its so terrible don't take it and go back to earning 1.5 million per fight.
Will aj make the 50 in his next fight no, but his usual 15-20 mill is literally 10x what wilder makes.
Fight on ajs schedule... I don't even know what that means.
Wilder isn't gunna take the fights he needs to take to really raise his profile so in my opinion when he does come begging for the fight I'd give him even less. Smh.
If aj was going to fight some bum then yeah sure he's ducking, but yeah let me duck the second best heavy weight to fight the third... Like how can you look at this as a duck. I'm not even saying wilder is fucking, I think both fighters want to the fight

Thing is Wilder loses he's done. He won't be making no $$ without a belt. So he should be holding out for more money.
and yes AJ can make bank fighting any heavyweight in the top 20. So he's in no rush to risk it all against the biggest puncher out there.

By Mangoverboard Go To PostThis should be comfortable enough for Conlon
Don't know much about the other guy but looks like he can punch on his record.
By KP Go To PostDon't know much about the other guy but looks like he can punch on his record.Definitely looks like he can and it'll be a challenge Mick needs but I think he'll have him easily enough in the end.

Yeah he should win cosy. But theres nothing i like more than a young prospect getting knocked out i wont lie

OK let's see who wilder fights next, take the winner of Parker / Whyte.. But he won't, hell fight some bum to notch up another win.

Lol Same tbf.
By Kidjr Go To PostThey over hype too many prospects these days
Its when some hyped Olympian comes out. All his fights on glam TV cards and start show boating against some old school pro whos grafted through the club fights. Always hope for a Bredis Prescott

Yep and all encouraged by the promoter by telling them they need to put on a show.
