Fantastic news. Was really hoping for them to sign with either Netflix or Amazon so they could continue to have a large budget for their idiocy.

This means we need an Amazon prime subscription or something right?
Why didn't they go for Netflix? :/

This is a pretty big get for Amazon. I don't even know if it's possible to get Amazon Video in Europe though?

UK/US only
Well damn it....Netflix would've been better in that case. Maybe Amazon will use this to launch in more countries.
I doubt I will watch the three of them again. The magic is gone and they are just caricatures of themselves. I am glad that the BBC show ill have fresh blood. It might not be as good as peak original crew, but it can't be any worse than what they have done the last few years.
Fuck yeah, Amazon.
I know nothing about Amazon other than buying their stuff and being happy with the service.

By Shatner's Bassoon Go To PostRichard Hammond is one of the worlds worst people.
To be fair he inadvertently provided us with an excellent Frankie Boyle joke though.
Finally. I don't even care that it's Amazon instead of Netflix, I'm just happy they are somewhere making more content.
I will watch this old fucks till they are in wheelchairs breathing from oxygen tanks.

By reilo Go To PostGreat get for Amazon, but I really wanted them on Netflix just for the House of Cars title. This is a shame though.
Some details:
Not surprisingly, no Stig (since BBC probably owns that character):
Amazon have shelled out a whopping £160 million to sign Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May up for a new car show as a "landmark global deal".http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/top-gear-how-much-amazon-6169471
The trio have signed up for three seasons, which will be produced by their long-time executive producer Andy Wilman and available exclusively to Amazon Prime customers.
Not surprisingly, no Stig (since BBC probably owns that character):
But Top Gear fans will be disappointed to learn that the new show will not feature The Stig.http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/6566966/Jeremy-Clarkson-Richard-Hammond-and-James-May-sign-160m-deal-with-Amazon.html
The Financial Times last night reported that the deal is one of the largest ever agreed by a digital streaming firm. It dwarfs the £64million that Netflix paid for two seasons of House of Cards.
By giririsss Go To PostThem some nice cars. Seems they still have pull.As far as I remember they had a guy who was offering them all to test before the show got shut down.

All those cars come with contracts about allowing press access to the cars, some times the cars are just under a theoretical 100 year lease or so.
