By EldritchTrapStar Go To Post21 Savage, Offset and Metro Booming dropped a tape out of nowhere.Despite the cover looking like the "Do Not Want." dog ... it is fire

What songs are you fucking with?
"Rap Saved Me" is going in constant rotation. Whole tape is dope though.
Not really a fan of 21 Savage sounding about the same during the whole project.
Still a nice project, and Metro definitely didn't dissapoint.

How we feel about this line ?
Clown shit, tbh.

What do you guys think about grime? I've been listening a little to it the past few days and it's pretty damn good.
The beat on this track is godlike
Dizzee Rascal released this dope music video recently, the song is good but the video is out of this world:

Grime is great. Spotify's Grime Shutdown playlist is a good way to sample a lot of artists if you want to dig in further.
I've been on Dizzee since his first album. He's still pretty good, oddly I think Tongue N Cheek is his best album, which is probably his least serious.
I think Skepta and Stormzy have the best chance to break through in the US (not that that should be the metric by which a rapper is judged). It helps when those guys are getting featured on A$AP Mob and Drake tracks. Giggs has a chance too and his recent mixtape is solid.

This shit is hard (to pick just one) but lemme try.
• Pick a coast to rep - East
• Favorite Artist - Meth
• Best feature killer - nothing coming up really
• Favorite producer - El P
• Favorite album - 36 chambers
• What's in your playlist right now? - Im kinda all over the place right now after listening mostly to new stuff all year long. El P - cancer for cure, Dre 2001, The Saga continues (surprisingly good), Joey Badass
Also Grime is pretty dope yes. Very energetic and rough. I occasionally listen to it but had a phase of constantly having it on like 5-6 years ago. P Money is pretty dope.

But I had heard Rap Saved Me about week before the project dropped so it wasn't "fresh"
Didnt think we had grime fans outside of the footy thread, genre that I grew up with and feel such close affinity too. So happy to see so many people in the position they're in and people start to understand the culture. I love the fact that people outside of the UK are really starting to appreciate it, really makes me smile! I never thought it could be really adopted because I thought the 140bpm can sometimes not be easy listening, especially coming from something like hip hop. It does depend on what you like in grime but for the most part sets are still the purist form of grime in my opinion as its you, the DJ and pure agility (how well can you catch the beat when the DJ switches up) here are few of some of my recent favs:
Novelist, epitomises pretty much everything I love about grime
The DJ is incredible on this set, beat selection, the mixes is just perfection.
Welcome! we grew up on the same estate! (p money)

Aye! I was hooked when I heard his freestyles. He was in my hometown 4 years ago and I saw him life. Was pretty good, his DJ was absolutely banging. Since the concert was quite small and we knew the people who organised it we had a few drinks with him, pretty chill, down to earth guy. (Like, he came up to us to ask if we enjoyed it.)

ON CHARGES THAT WERE DROPPED WTF
Kamaiyah has a new mixtape out. It's 10 tracks, less than 30 minutes. Sounds like mostly b-sides from her upcoming major label debut but some good tracks in there.

By Kidjr Go To PostON CHARGES THAT WERE DROPPED WTFHis lawyer's saying the judge was a vengeful fan of his:
"She's enamored with him," Tacopina tells Billboard. "She showed up at his community service for the homeless people. She showed up and sat at the table. She's a judge. You could pull any judge in America and ask them how many times they've showed up at a community service for a probation and the answer is zero."http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8030018/meek-mill-attorney-judge-prison-sentence-interview
Tacopina spoke to Billboard about what he called Brinkley's "infatuation" with Mill, how she requested that he re-record a Boyz II Men song and shout her out, and how she wanted him to leave Roc Nation to sign with a friend of hers. These are edited excerpts from the conversation.
...
Then, there's a judge that's supposed to be a fair, neutral arbitrator and oversee. Both the probation officer and the district attorney recommended no incarceration for these violations. No incarceration. But this judge excoriated both of them, challenged their credibility and overrode both law enforcement agencies recommendations and went from zero to two to four years, which shows that she clearly had a personal vendetta against this guy [Mill].
Read that and I'm heated, never jumped on a free anyone t-shirt thing before but I would actually for this, fucking BS.

By Moris Go To Postlol Eminem can't rap at ALL anymore.I thought the rapping/lyrics were fine I guess. His flow is pretty bad these days and the boring production doesn't help.
That song is so bad. Yea, the production is really boring, surprised Beyonce was ok with this being released.
By s y Go To PostSurprised? Beyonce has been releasing trash her whole solo career
I don't think she has made anything this bad in a long time honestly.

I concede.
The disconnect between the types of hip hop fans in this thread and the general public on Eminem is always hilarious to me.
Probably the biggest reason I miss NeoGAF is the occasional thread in which Gaming-side folks would get relentlessly torched by the likes of PhoenixDark because they stanned for Em. So damn funny.
Eminem is talented but hasn't been artistically relevant in a looooooooong time.
