Big year for the Shyamalan household.
from the wiki:
The film was produced using the painted animation technique over the production of five years, similar to the Welchman duo's previous film, Loving Vincent.[3] Initially the film was shot with the actors, and then more than a hundred painters in four studios in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Serbia painted oil paintings based on the shots, which became frames in the film. Animators then worked to supplement the paintings to make the whole film seamless. The artists spent over 200,000 hours in total working on the project.[4]
The film features works from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, with an emphasis on Young Poland artists. It includes interpretations of works by artists such as Józef Chełmoński, Ferdynand Ruszczyc and Leon Wyczółkowski.[3] Józef Chełmoński's works that are alluded to in the film include the following:[5][6][7]
I remember I caught dune recently and had a sci fi itch. Thought oh why not put on rebel moon, big mistake.

You just don't understand Zack Snyder's genius.
IGN gave it a 4, so it must be the best movie ever made.

Watched Scream 5 last night. That wasn't good at all. Just all around nonsensical foolishness from all involved. Jenna Ortega and the woman who played her sister are also not good at acting.

dream scenario starts out great, but doesn't really know what to do with its premise after a while.
had have fun with it, though, and it features one of cage's best performances.

Went to see Fantastic Machine (called And the King Said, What a Fantastic Machine in the film's credits, referring to an English monarch after Georges Méliès filmed a fake version of a coronation to be released on the same day as the actual event)
Ruben Östlund-produced documentary about the history of the moving image: photography to film to television to social media. Bit of an Adam Curtis montage doc but had a lot of fun with it.
It spent a few minutes on the January 6th thing. Damn, that was a funny day. Could've been funnier though.

Started watching Immaculate. Sydney Sweeney is a decent actress but why would you cast her as nun?
Bathing scene starts where the nuns are around a large round bathtub wearing white nightgowns that become see through when wet.
That answers my question.

By RAThasReturned Go To PostShe produced it with her new found fame.It was alright. Doesn't do anything new but was decently acted, well shot and had a surprisingly amount of gore.
Also watched Antrum : The Deadliest Movie Ever Made which I liked a lot. It's a less mainstream movie, not necessarily scary but more unsettling, they use binaural sound at times to good effect.
Movie is a mockumentary about a 70's movie called Antrum that's cursed and each time it was screened, deaths occured. The producers tracked down a copy of the movie and you get interviews with experts on topics around the occult, psychology and filmmaking before and after the movie.
The cursed movie is very low budget that's filmed in a very dreamlike way that's very effective.
I imagine it's a very divisive movie, you either get the vibe they are going with or I can't imagine you'll find much to like it.
Bonus points for referencing John Carpenter's Masters Of Horror episode "Cigarette Burns".
