By reilo Go To PostOk Hisoka being a pedo wasn't really necessary smh
He aint a pedo. Hes just thrilled by the potential of the youth.
I don't know, I felt a bit letdown by the ending fight actually. I like 3, but for the road more than the end.

The Dio fight just lacked the intensity the OVA had. I actually reread the entire thing last time when I was made aware that Dio actually did appear to fly in the manga as well and I was shocked how 1:1 the anime fight was with the manga. Almost scene for scene was emulated by the anime.
and I think that might have been its problem. It just seemed to rush through things. I think they would have benfited by taking atleast a few liberties to achieve a better flow for the animation. I just didn't get that same feeling of excitement or buildup from the fight that I did reading the manga or even watching the original OVA.
But hey, Takehito Koyasu fucking KILLED my favorite Dio line ("Saikyou ni HIGH te yatsu da!"), so I'm satisfied.

Nah. Hisoka is sexually attracted to/aroused by anyone he views as a strong opponent.
I wouldn't describe him as a pedophile either, but I wouldn't excuse the character or those scenes from criticism as well. (I don't like them personally)
Probably the best animated episode of kuroko in the series. Shit was so great that even the breh aomine had to keep it real
Ending shot was great and sealed the deal for me. "Don't get the smile and gentleman shit twisted. We still run this"

Yeah, that was the best ep so far. How many more in the season, 2?
Also, if anyone followed the manga, is this it for the show or is there more afterwards?
By giririsss Go To PostYeah, that was the best ep so far. How many more in the season, 2?Haven't read any of the manga but I looked around to see if there is anything else after this apparently there is a new manga with GOM kagami and Kuroko vs High School team in the US. Apparently takes place a year after the end of this.
Also, if anyone followed the manga, is this it for the show or is there more afterwards?
Might look into it after the series ends but it doesn't look like it updates alot
By reilo Go To PostOk I look forward to it because the show is getting ridiculously fun. Just finished episode 25 and I have high hopes for an epic anime training arc.
GOAT soundtrack too.

This is it for show. Maybe they will animate the extra chapters when they are done
@FootballFan
Yeah Monster GOAT. One of the best Villains ever.

Lol
Just finished with Slam Dunk and finally started to watch Cowboy Bebop, no idea what took me so long but finally catching up with all of those old gems. If there are any recommendations what I should tackle next, I'am all ears.

Monster anime real good, might be GOAT for its genre. For recommendations,
YuYu HakuSho and Hunter X Hunter always a great watch.
Gurren Lagann amazing.
Code Geass is fukkery done right.
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood GOAT anime.
Samurai Champloo GOAT samurai anime.
Nanatsu no Taizai and Hitman Reborn are great shonen shows
Silver Spoon and Assassination Classroom are amazin slice of life/coming of age/comedy story.
I need to rewatch Geass. It's been so long that I've probably forgotten enough that I can once again appreciate the full depth of the fuckery.

Finished Cross Game the other day
First episode still the high point for me and made me cry even harder than the first time I saw it, but the rest of the series is enjoyable enough. Was kind of ready for it to be over by the end though. (The romance subplots were kind of wearing thin on me)
Think I'm going to rewatch Legend of the Galactic Heroes next. That should take me a couple weeks. Started watching some of the prequel OVA's and it reminded me just how much I love this series. So going to give it a second viewing before watching the rest of the supplementary material.

Maybe.
I personally can't sit through the anime. Stuff you can read at your own pace in the manga is dragged out in the anime for effect. And while it's done well it personally doesn't make for an entertaining watch for me. It's already a pretty dry series.
By Kuma Go To PostFull Metal Alchemist Brotherhood GOAT anime.I feel alone in preferring FMA to FMA:B
By FootballFan Go To PostI feel alone in preferring FMA to FMA:B
I think both series have their flaws
Personally I think the original had better action scenes though.
and as confusing as the ending was, I thought it was more thematically consistent with the "equivalent exchange" theme than Brotherhood's happy ending for everyone
By Kuma Go To PostHow can I forget about Ghost In The Shell...Tbh I now realize its very bleh
only the movie that very awesome
Hey guys, thanks for the recommendations, I think I'll go for HxH next, started the manga a few moons ago but only finished the first 3 volumes. It felt too slow for me back then and I got occupied by other stuff, is there any reason to watch the older Version over the "Remake" first?
I have already seen Samurai Champloo (amazing) and ll definetly go for GITS, Lagann and Space Dandy too. Still need to plow through my Fullmetal Alchemist Box Set before the tv show. Great stuff so far, guess this will keep me busy for the next weeks years

By psychintellect Go To PostWell, the older HxH anime doesnt look like dogshit 80% of the time.2011 had great quality from eps 20 above
Its does have baffling start when they put censorship everywhere but suddenly give no fuck anymore at that aspect till the end
yeah think I'll start with the old stuff, watched some comparison videos on YouTube and it looked just right, can't quite put my finger on it but the bright and clean look of todays Anime doesn't appeal to me that much, will give 2011 a try once I reached the second arc.
also I don't mind the censorship, since I won't even notice what is missing or changed.
btw Bebop has been fantastic so far <3

The original Hunter x Hunter anime was running concurrently with the manga at the time, so there's quite a bit of filler and dragged out scenes that I don't really think are worthwhile.
2011 anime was done after the manga had completed all the material it covers, so it's a much more faithful adaption pacing wise.
That's probably the most noticeable difference. The original series covers the same material in 50 episodes that the 2011 gets done with in like 38.
They blackened/censor out alot of the violence in the TV run and it appears on the BDs uncensored. Jojo is the same way.
For Hunter though it's pretty faithful lol. Since alot of the ant arc violence was censored in its Jump run.

Looking at the original volume release dates.........it's crazy how similar the endings to the Dark tournament and the cell games are.
The ending fights to the arcs are just weeks apart so I doubt Toriymlama was aping Togashi but still.
But Still crazy

Really good ending but I kinda wish they'd paced it a bit better.
I'm more excited for a new season than I am for Extra-Game though

Thought the US street game was gonna be the end of the series but the way they were talking in the show it seems like they will do a sophomore or junior year?
