No. If Brown and O’Shea were around during the current United struggles of revolving manager’s and systems, they would be found out. Smalling and Jones are better footballers.
Mike is by far our best defender in the air, the dude is like anti-air, not conceding from headers while he's around. Jones has his days, but I can't believe he is a footballer.
A little over a week to Ajax - Juve, half the squad is either injured or as good as.
Including Spinazzola, who'll very likely miss both legs, basically the only player left with a bit of fire in him.
Congrats Ajax-Slaent.

But he's neither big or strong enough to harass physical players, nor quick enough to recover against speedy ones.
Not looking forward to tonight's game. The Wolves midfield has Pogba's number so unless Fred/Herrera performs we might be looking at a very torrid match.

Zabo is a gambler hedging his bets for rhetorical reasons. As soon as it becomes obvious and unavoidable that they're winning the tie, the submerged confidence will become apparent.
It's most people's strategy here (some for rhetoric, and some to dampen their potential disappointment). Shanks is perhaps the only one who always deviates from this norm.

As long as we get some entertaining matches I'm happy. CL is no biggie for us, league and cup is what counts. For Juventus it's probably the other way around, so do the math.
By Flutter Go To PostAnd some choose to watch ice skating instead.🤷🏻♀️
I prefer the sport that inspires me, personally, to fully appreciate and enjoy the performances, rather than to slouch into baser tendencies, clustering around arbitrarily differentiated groups of people.
In the end, it makes me happier.

I always try to remind myself it's only football. There's no point to spend hours angry after a game.

To be honest, at this point Napoli only cause me frustration and disappointment, and it's not worth it. I can jokingly disparage them, but that's not nearly as interesting as following something else that's more pleasing and rewarding. I still watch some matches in a detached manner, especially when skating's unavailable, but I certainly don't devote time to it as I once did.
But figure skating 😍🔥💁🏻 .
Afternoon, lads. Are we Europa League yet?

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostEverything I know about figure skating I learned from Chazz Michael Michaels.Don't worry, my Figure Skating 2019-20 |OT| From Russia with gloves thread will contain a full primer, encyclopaedia of elements, brief history, and current top skater bios. Even footyslaent will be admiring difficult transitions, unique takes on the Biellmann, deep-edge step sequences, and a damn fine 3A-eu-3F combo.
By sohois Go To PostHas Ancelotti been so bad for Napoli? Seems they're still comfortably secondMy behavior switched over before the season even began. When ADL cut Sarri to bring in Ancelotti, and when Juve snapped up Ronaldo, I was done; I knew then that the Abyss no longer held any interest for me. And I don't care about any other club or league enough to follow them with the same attention.
By Cleff Go To PostAppointment of a technical director is due to happen in the summer. That's still about 4 months too late.I recall him saying the same thing to Juventus.

What are you on about. Wes Brown was a genuinely good defender, his career was just marred by constant small injuries. Saying he is/was worse than Phil Jones is a fucking sensationally bad opinion.

United about to ascend. A new era is upon us.
I don't have to defend myself. History will prove me right, as it has since 1996.

Not only was Wes Brown good, but O Shea was our Milner. Unfortunately for them we had a world class defensive pairing.
If it was 1998 and I was Alex Ferguson and I was offered to choose two young defenders to add to my squad out of O'Shea, Brown, Smalling, and Jones, I would choose the last two.
By Laboured Go To PostYeah same actually.
John O'Shea iconic moments: nutmegging Figo, his chip against Arsenal, his shot that went out for a throw-in, clean sheet when he had to play in goal, top lad.

German FA got rid of their shitty president Grindel.
About damn time.
Gladbach will terminate the contract with their coach at the end of summer. Kinda suprising, considering they extend his contract in November.
