By GQman2121 Go To PostOne season to get to the dragons; two seasons to raise an army; one season to grow both. Now the motherfuckers are running wild and the bitch can't control them.
When do the dragons gets to Kings Landing? Because that's all I really care about at this point.
The Wall with Ned's bastard, and Stannis and the rest of those losers is fucking dull as shit. Fuck all of of that noise.
Who the fuck cares about the Starks at this point? The capital and the Lannisters is the shows strength. They need to get to and stay with that.
Dragon lady making her move is the only other plot of any value to me. And now that Tyrion is in Pentos, they're obviously going to meet up and do some devious scheming before long, and cross back over to Essex together. How long is that going to take though or is that seasons 6, 7 & 8 in the books?
(please note that the below post is all genuine speculation and I don't, and fucking won't read his lolita erotic novels he calls books)
I hear they're gonna base this season on Feast of Crows and Dance With Dragons, and judging by the latter's title, there better be some fucking dragon dancing on someone's corpse in King's Landing
I don't really understand why Dany attacking King's Landing is appealing to people at this point.
I can understand people sympathizing with her revenge earlier on. Especially when Robert was actively trying to have her killed.
But given everything that's happened since I don't really understand what would be satisfying about a King's Landing attack. There's nothing there really to take vengeance on at this point.
First four episodes weren't great. Hope they are saving the good stuff for the second half.
Ep4 Did anyone else think the fight scene at the end looked really bad?

We just trying to see them dragons unleashed.
And Sir Barrista, Dario and Grey Worm go to work.

By the time she comes over I'm sure the only thing that will be in her way will be the walkers.
I can't remember the last time Dany was even likeable though tbqh

yes I was laughing when I watched. Kind of reminded ne of assassin's creed combat

I get the intention behind the whole procedure, to speed that long dragging and boring arc up a bit.
The execution was shit, especially Barristan getting killed by just former slavers with some daggers..., plus the fight looking boring.
The were some decisions that were worse though, for example nearly cutting all of the voting for the new leader of the watch, they just dashed through it so fast, took away any point of suspension...
I mean the wait will be well worth it, but I've now come to realize I much prefer Netflix's method of just releasing the entire season at once.
I'm just happy GoT is back, might just go rewatch the first 4 seasons because how good it is.
No I haven't read the books and won't now the show is the "source material".

yeah it was pretty shit.
well, the books have been objectively average to good from book 4 onwards, so...yeah. This is kind of the point where I welcome the writers to mess around and add some cool stuff
wonder if it hurts ratings moving forward

Similar to RBK's attack on GAF moderation, we just want to see dragon's finally put work in on the masses.
Danny has turned into a pretty shit leader, but she's hot and conducts dragon's, so that makes her infinitely more interesting than 90% of this bloated ass cast.
the imagination being used to sexualize men over women is pretty frustrating as a straight male
Cersei is supposed to be far and away the most sexual person in these books and we never got that at all in the show and we haven't seen anything good on Dany since season 1 when she showed dat ass
they really really need to up their game on the female side of things
Just saw the first episode. What I don't get about Daenerys & her dragons:
Why did she neglect her dragons? Sure, I get why she had to lock them up but it seemed like she never even went down there. Her ancestors rode on dragons and shit. She should have been working on that, but now they hate her.

she's a punk
I'm no fan of the books, i think they're generaly very average. GRRM is really really really average.
But the tv series has been better than the books. By a good margin. They suffered some of the books pacing problems, but thats because of the books. Which is something every epic fantasy series is going to face when you start turning minor characters into major characters. Too many story arcs, too many branches.

she's essentially a teenage, single mother w/ a support system that can't really check her. there was only ever 1 outcome
Here's pure speculation, i haven't read or seen ahead at all.
Danny will make up with the dragons by accepting she is a dragon at heart too, and become stronger because of it and then starts the mystical journey of learnng how to mount them / use them in battle.
By KumaJG Go To Post Sansa Stark(Sohpia Turner) got me drooling. That my red-haired, blue eyed white angel.
Was she even in the first episode? And if so, did she have any lines?

She is but hair is died brunette.

For real. Ep4 I was like...the unsullied ain't shit....and old man whooped more ass than most of their squad combined. Oh you can get your nipple cut off without flinching, that'll come in handy when some bums rush through and cut your nipples off.
By Smokey Go To Postno worse than ya boy bran
king bran isn't in enough scenes to even assess his acting chops
sadly the most interesting characters gets zero airtime.
By psychintellect Go To Post Am I the only one who thinks Sansa's acting is Dany tier?
that's a really low bar breh. even robin's actor is better than dany.
By DY_nasty Go To Post Dany is probably the most consistently bad actress in the entire show. Just ruins scenes. I'd rather watch a Tommen monologue.
I actually find her stiff / awkward aproach to the character... fitting. But that may just be me.
By psychintellect Go To Postsadly the most interesting characters gets zero airtime.
Needs more Arya
Arya and Jamie have the most interesting arcs so far.
Lord(?) Bolton is the last of his kind on the show, he's the only character/actor that can send shivers down my spine when he's on screen
I'm sorry but bran, who can control dudes with his mind and has visions, just met some fairy children and a tree dude that was impersonating a raven with three eyes
Had like 3 scenes total last season
Smh
By DY_nasty Go To Post I think Little Finger has been over-acting more than anyone else lately. His first few season were gold... now it just seems like he's trying to do to much each time he steps in front of a camera.
I thought he sucked from day one. Trying way too hard.

is it just me or he talks way too close to people?! It's borderline creepy/John Travolta sometimes.

and entirely pointless. Like 50 scenes showing how much they don't like each other to no real end as they don't even ever really interact in any meaningful way in the books.(and as a result, the show as well)
and Mayor Carcetti don't work for Littlefinger because the whole point of the character is that he doesn't seem like a comic book villain at first glance.(I mean he totally is, even in the books. but it's supposed to be surprising)
Was the beginning of the episode the first time they've used a flashback?
I was expecting something more substantial this episode, especially after I heard they were folding two books into each other for this season. It wasn't terrible, but nothing unexpected happened - other than what I mentioned in the spoiler above.
My fear for the story overall is how the political machinations will eventually interact with the more fantastical elements of the dragons and white walkers. The court intrigue can seemingly go on forever, with all the principal players dying off, and new or minor ones succeeding them; only with the rearrival of magic to a place of prominence in the world, determining the contours of power, will it reach some sort of narrative terminus - but will such a result feel like the simple invalidation of all that went before it?

Ep. 4 I refuse to believe Barristan and Grey Worm are dead. It was 'bout damn time Barristan showed the world why he's the best swordsman since Ser Arthur Dayne, he can't go out so soon after it.
When was the last time white walkers even appeared? Season 2? Or was that baby that was turned season 3?
Regardless, they're dumb and need to be forgotten like the Nights Watch.
