By ratcliffja Go To PostI never heard anything racist at an Arkansas Razorback game of any sport but I'm not going to deny that it happens at those games. I just haven't experienced it firsthand. If somebody said that there was a hugely racist remark said anywhere, I wouldn't be surprised, but especially in more traditionally conservative areas.
What's your take on how we've been doing thus far?
"I didn't see it for myself or acknowledge it so therefore it didn't happen."
That train is never late.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostJust got my "Utah Jazz, no horrible fan incidents recently" tattoo, time to check the news to see what happened last night while drinking a Big Gulp of coffee.

By RATHasReturned Go To PostThe same ESPN that made the call to have all their shows talk about trading Lebron on Monday. Was that Amin Elhassan and Wilbon?
By DY_nasty Go To Postdid that get deleted?Oh, shit. I guess so. It was a Jazz writer showing an email that Donovan wrote to the Athletic. Let me see if I can find it elsewhere.
I guess he deleted and reposted it:

Huh, how about that.
But Jeffrey
By Fenderputty Go To PostSurprised ibaka didn’t get more and Chriss got any
I don't think anyone in the NBA likes Chriss which probably hurt his case.
Just heard about the fan and Westbrook thing. Figured I would come see and if y'all had any crow.
Yeah, no. I highly doubt Westbrook is gonna fly off the handle for someone telling him to ice his knees. He's angry and freaks out, but that's not going to set him off. Seems pretty obvious he said what he was accused of saying based on all the reactions and people backing up Russ. Not sure if the dude meant for it to be racial rather than just sexually demeaning, but his ignorance doesn't make it better. I'm glad he got banned.
Gobert has the right sentiment. He says he's never heard anything racial, but the disrespect needs to stop. Yelling and heckling is fine, but crossing the line of disrespect isn't cool.
Keisel told KSL in an interview that he didn’t say, “Get down on [your] knees like you used to.” Keisel says he told Westbrook, “Sit down and ice your knees bro,” as the OKC guard was getting treatment on his knees. Keisel says, “And he turned to me and was like, ‘That’s heat. That’s heat.’ I’m like, ‘Well you’re gonna need it’ and then it turned.”

Jazz should be paying Westbrook's legal fees tbh
Ok, isn't there actual proof of him tweeting out racist images and phrases at Westbrook and others? What does this dude expect to get out of this except debt?
He even posted a photo afterwards mocking the code of conduct at the arena. This dude is really a shitbag.
By Random Ass Username Go To PostSo was he possessed? Did someone hack his twitter?an OKC fan (apparently) did pick up his twitter handle after he deleted it and was tweeting out epithets that started with the letter N, but i think all of those old tweets were legit.
He can set up a patreon or gofundme and market himself as the next altright "owning myself to own the libs" phenom.
Iverson on the 1st Player to School Him: "I was a rookie, I ain't ever had nobody bust my a$% before in my life, we played the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Johnson gave me 39/9/9.. He was just so much smarter than me.. I was just a puppet.. I was actually crying in my locker, I never got destroyed like that
KJ was a beast
By blackace Go To PostSo the NBA fined Westbrook 25k…
They kind of had to tbh. At least I expected it. When he said "and your wife" I knew it was coming.
By jar155 Go To PostJust heard about the fan and Westbrook thing. Figured I would come see and if y'all had any crow.sigh.. I know you mean well..

By blackace Go To Postfuck that.. they needed to make a statement with this type of shit and stand behind Westbrook and the players..too much to open yourself up to when people come at you saying you put up with violence against women, IMO. I think they would have taken a stand without that part.

Ehhhhh
The optics of that part wasn't a good look. I expected a fine for that line alone
From the accounts I read the couple, him and her, were both being real shitbirds. She should get a permaban too.

yeah ...
also I hope westbrook doesn't settle for a cheap pay day for the dude but rather lawyers up and drowns the man in legal fees.
By blackace Go To Postsigh.. I know you mean well..Nah man, I mean he could have stopped there and just said, "I never heard anything." He didn't, he called for an end to this fan yelling disrespectful crap.
Why would someone on the team of the fanbase yelling shit be the one to hear it anyway? A lot of racists don't lob the pejoratives and insults at their own squad but they got plenty to scream at opposing black players.

But I'll continue waiting for more facts 😂 this keeps getting better
By Smokey Go To PostEhhhhhThe optics that she can say anything she wants to a player and have accountability? I agree that's not a good look.

Her husband got banned, she didn't. And now we are ok with fining Russ because of her but not the husband? Seems ass backwards to me 🤷🏾♂️
