first race I actually bother watching and isn't just background noise
give it to the dutch superhumans

It is hard defending, but Max knows what he is doing and so is Charles. Have seen the same move multiple times this weekend in the f2 &F3 races, don't think anyone got penalised for it.
But F1 has put themselves in a pickle the last few race weekends, that I would not be in the stewrds shoes right now.
On board Max:

I'm sorry to say but thats a 100% penalty for Max
He wouldve overtaken Leclerc easily anyway, but after the pen in Canada, FIA are definitely giving Max a pen.

Did someone tell Binotti he’s actually working in F1? I get the feeling he doesn’t know he’s working in a racing sports environment

I have said for a long time, Ferrari have gone to shit since it went back into the hands of Italians.
Playing "Leef", of course
I love our enthusiasm, but what would people think about all the music we're bringing over :lol

Fucking hell, how can this take so God damn long.
Rumours of a Ferrari party and a broken phone from Max (should be visible in the photo above apparently)...

They are waiting until the fans have left the circuit, or why would they have to wait so long for something so simple. You do not have to watch it over and over to come to a decision.
The official paper:
For me after the way the stewards handled all decisions in F3/F2 (turn 3 and 4 incidents) it would have been strange to come to any other decision in F1, its ABC of defending and something all kids learn from day 1 in karting. (turn in later to prevent "undercut") But they way they have looked at things the last few races it could have easily been decided as crowding someone of track (we need more gravel traps).
Which way the decision would have gone, for me it would not have mattered, as this entire weekend we saw how awesome f1 can be. amazing track in fantastic location, top fans and atmosphere and top driving.
Please more of this in the future
And almost forgot, Honda won a GP, I repeat a Honda powered car won a GP, who would have though that couple years back : thumbsup:

After this season's start it's started to feel impossible that Red Bull would win anything this year, this is just great.
Max ahead of the Ferrari's again after today's result, Lewis still miles ahead and can still handle a DNF. Was surprising to see that the Mercedes was struggling so much with the cooling on their cars, let's hope for a hot summer in Europe ;)
Why was Le Clerc so slow? Didn't watch the race yet. Assume he'd been on his tyre's longer?
Also, really surprised Max didn't get a penalty there. With how this seasons gone really expected it.
I know this will sound like one of those easier said than done things, but they really need to clear up qualifying. It's becoming too much of a mess.

Damn seems like I missed a great race just going off the highlights. After seeing Max last season I'm convinced he is the real deal.
Once Max is in a championship worthy car I don't think he can be stopped. For the sport it would be wonderful if him and Leclerc will be driving competitive cars for years on end, could be a great rivalry.
saw that one pass soc media earlier :rolf:
, there will definitely be more between those two in the coming years, if both fer & rbr design a decent car.

we now have a "Rogue individual"
There is also some racing this weekend and we are at Silverstone and I guess it will be back to business with an easy Mercedes/Lewis win, unless the newly paved tarmac throws a curveball. Maybe the weather, but that will not decrease Lewis chances for a win, maybe bit more competition. Curious if the RBR15 aero updates also work on another track and they can be a bit closer and fight the Ferrari's, who will benefit from the fact that there are long full power section in Silverstone these days, but struggle in the slow speed sections.
Track:
Tire Selection:
Last Year:
FP1 - Hamilton - 1.27.487
FP2 - Vettel - 1.27.552
FP3 - Hamilton - 1.26.722
Qualify - Hamilton - 1.25.892
Race - Vettel - 1u27min29.784
Fastest Lap - Vettel - 1.30.696
Talking about the RBR15, it comes with JB license plates this weekend:

And about the roque individual, an update by Jalopnik

UPDATE 2:26 pm EST: William Storey, Rich Energy’s CEO, responded to an email we sent asking if he could clarify what was going on. We’ll just let his response speak for itself:
I am the CEO and founder of Rich Energy and control the board of directors and all assets.
I also control more than 51% of the shares
There has been an attempted coup of my position by a handful of shareholders who have a cosy relationship with Red Bull and Whyte bikes.
These shareholders led by Neville Weston and Charlie Simpson have failed in their efforts.
All key stakeholders support the current strategy of the UK’s premium energy drink Rich Energy
It finally happened Ghostly is awake, ok track evolution (new tarmac) and he did lap in the end, but Leclerc was out there at the same time. Mercedes did not really do any runs on reds, only long runs in the end and they looked fast on the mediums, so theirs to loose if you ask me now.
Oh and Grosjean :please:
Lot of cars struggling on the quicker runs with new tarmac and wind and mowing the grass in Silverstone. Mercedes mega dominant, S2 and even more on long runs, RBR looks bit quicker than Ferrari (long run), but looks like graining on left front will determine the pace on Sunday, unless track gets better, so let's wait how things evolve the next two days.
McLaren looked good on long run, specially Lando on softs (kept them working) and looks like they are the team to beat again for F1 1.5.

FP3:
More running, more grip and Ferrari looked better than it did yesterday, but from Lewis onboards do feel Mercedes has still something left. Colder might help the Ferrari's a little as they seam to have tires left at the end of the lap this weekend. RBR still few tenths of the Ferrari's, at least Peirre (3 FP sessions quicker than Max) and curious if he can do it in a single lap/Q pressure as well, that would be a turn around for him.
Midfield far to close, only RP (just) and Williams (massive) are out of that battle, Norris another session best of the rest, hope he can do it one more time.
