Seeing all the ESPN talking heads say Zion should play is just disgusting. We all know they're only saying that cause they broadcast Duke games.
You're right, on the network full of shows where they argue merely for the sake of arguing, they all got a mandate from corporate to agree on Zion playing. Naturally.
And again, rattle off the list of basketball players that sat out just to protect their stock. Even on the college football side, where risk of injury is far greater, they only sit out the entirely irrelevant non-playoff bowl games. (Along those lines, If Duke was headed to the NIT, then yes, Zion, sit the fuck out. Good lord, sit.)
As long as Zion wants to play, he should play. And if he doesn't, then sit. (And we haven't heard official word on the severity of his injury, so there might not even be a decision to be made.)

Plenty of "well if he plays he's a dummy" taeks flying around.
He's grown. He can make his own choices.

He's grown. He can make his own choices.
He could 100% do more damage to him self though. And if he comes back and is limping around / even half as explosive, there are going to be a lot of hot takes. Then again, if he doesn't, people will question his "drive to win" etc etc (which is dumb, but they will).
There's no real incentive for him to play anymore, in terms of draft position though.

sure he can but we don't have to like it. doesn't mean we are against him chosing his own destiny.
By giririsss Go To Post100%.I don't know, maybe he likes playing competitive basketball with his teammates, who he seems to be genuine friends with, and he places a value on that?

Saying he has "nothing to gain" is kinda insulting to be honest.

it's disgusting
I mean dude could probably blow his knee out and still fall no further than 5 at this point, given this draft.

I said nothing to gain in terms of draft position or money.
You're right he COULD win a title with Duke. He could just love to compete / be part of a team.
100% with you that it's not a dumb choice to come back and play if he's healthy.

Yeah, it's a bit irritating because vast majority of these "he should sit" takes are coming from a lot of people wanting Zion to be some sort of "bring down the NCAA" warrior.
So much about what he should do and not at all about what he wants to do. Condescending really.
By Omzz Go To PostThe returnNot really.
Terrence Jones will sign a 10-day contract with the Houston Rockets.
Jones has been dominating the G-League this season, but this seems like a bit of roster manipulation by the Rockets as he'll be assigned back to the G-League.
Nice Euro Travel by Giannis.

Mason Plumlee excluded.
