could have added a dan/meier trigger warning dude. think before you post.
Dortmund I have the perfect plan for you. I know you guys didn't want to let the young fetuses go after they have a great season which is why Dembeler was a cunt to force a transfer.
Sell - Sancho to United
Buy - Hudson Odoi
Best plan. It's the smart thing to do. You know it.

He's already one of the top young wingers in the world. Chelsea should be expecting and encouraging a bidding war.
Given City's HG issues, would not be shocked if they came in.

Is Hudson Odoi actually supposed to be good or is he just another hyped teenager? Nearly every Chelsea game these days they're cutting to him and commentators asking why he isn't playing

Think he might end up better than Sancho.

They'll probably both end up as one of the better players in the world in their positions (still suspect Sancho will end up playing more centrally like an AMC).
Both have obvious skill but I'm super impressed by their decision making.
By Mangoverboard Go To PostIs Hudson Odoi actually supposed to be good or is he just another hyped teenager? Nearly every Chelsea game these days they're cutting to him and commentators asking why he isn't playing
Well the reason for that, is that he has actually been pretty damn good whenever he has played, and on top of that, Pedro and Willian has been trash. So makes sense to try him.
I'm not all convinced he will be the next big thing. But I am absolutely sure he can easily get to the current Willian/Pedro's level.

I haven't actually seen alot from Odoi tbh. The few bits were pretty damn good, allthough given the alternatives at Chelsea it might be just that.
The good thing about Sancho is, he can play nearly everywhere. I'm actually suprised Favre didn't use him as AMC since Reus was injured and the other players who played there, just weren't up to the task to replace Reus. He just has no glaring weakness, apart from defending and concentration at some point. The important things like crosses, through balls and even shooting are pretty damn good already.
In other news, Neverkusen got kicked out against Krasnodar.
Guess the Bosz tactics of just wildy running at the opponent, leaving yourself open for counters is still a thing.

He's from that 2000 born prospect group that includes Sancho, Foden, Smith Rowe, Gibbs White, Gomes, etc... and he was one of the premier talents from that group.
Germany are finished and they've known it for some time which is why they're trying to slip in drugs into their drinks, hoping to sleep with them.

Is going to be interesting for City again this summer. They're at their limit with non-HG players and that's before Brexit.

They've known it for quite some time, that the youth work isn't up to the standard anymore. Especially punishing those players that actually want to dribble. Just trying to press every player into a form/system. Waited far too long to switch things up again and it's no suprise that by far the hottest youth players are majorly from other countries, at least in decent youth teams.

That shit happens when you got a president that didn't resign after the whole Özil debacle, that gave Löw a contract extension without even analyzing the abysmal WC and shit. Clinging to that 2014 title isn't gonna help them.
At least the clubs are finally investing more cash into their youth teams, but that's gonna take a while.
By Laboured Go To PostDortmund need to fuck right off.M8. Mislintat is on the market. He build up a fucking amazing scouting department in Dortmund, got some great players into the Arsenal squad until they were stupid enough to let him go.
Snatch him up and give him some time.
By KidA Seven Go To PostHe would choose Dortmund if Dortmund went after him and Chelsea would choose Dortmund if Dortmund were funded by transfer money.Maybe. There was still some bad blood between Chelsea and Dortmund after Lewandowski joined Bayern instead of Chelsea. We didn't get KDB because of that, despite having little to say as it was Lewandowski who made that choice.
We won't get Mislintat because we don't even know what responsibilities we want a DoF to have.
So we'll probably end up with Darmian as our RW next season.

Claudio Bravo will definitely be out the door but we do have an American replacing him so no gain there in terms of HG. I have absolutely zero qualms about City getting rid of Otamendi and just letting Eric Garcia take over his place.. he'll be HG by next summer.
I must say, it's exciting to have some young, talented English players like Sancho, Nelson, Smith-Rowe, Hudson-Odoi, Foden etc
All look like they can cope at this level of football too which is very encouraging.

By Laboured Go To PostWho's next?No idea. All the managers I'd want are either already taken or too expensive in terms of the kind of players they'd want us to sign.
ZZ?
By batong Go To PostHello Zabo, how are you?Surprisingly calm and lucid. Yesterday's match went exactly as expected and it is a mere reflection of the past 3 agonizing months and more generally of the kind of slow, predictable, unimaginative and cowardly football Allegri and the club have been setting up the squad for.
Imagine buying Ronaldo and having him play in such a sad fucking context. Imagine playing with De Sciglio instead of Cancelo, because you're worried about defending (like De Sciglio is Maldini in that department, lol). Imagine still starting Mandzukic, when you have the likes of Douglas Costa and Bernardeschi on the bench, even after you've proven to yourself that the team are capable of a brand of football that's much more suited for CL without him. Imagine humiliating Dybala by having him play in the midfield all year long, to which he brings a whole lot of good will and sacrifice in exchange for little to absolutely no gain.
It's not all on Allegri, of course. Half the blame lies with the club and their unwillingness to spend in the one department where we've been lacking for years, the fucking midfield. In a club that asprires to win in CL, Matuidi can be at best a bencher. Same goes for Emre Can. The last time I saw Pjanic perform a 15m+ vertical pass was ... I don't even remember. Khedira is done, yet still our most dangerous midfielder, which should tell you something. Bentancur is a very interesting prospect, possibly more than that already, but he too got lost after a promising start in the slime that is Allegri's football.
Either we realize it's high time we got on the same page as the other top EU clubs or we're never lifting that trophy again.

By Hitch Go To PostKinda wish we had a young attacking player on the road to being world class. Maybe Brewster can step up, but he's still recovering from a bad injuryI've never viewed Brewster quite on that level. He seems like a good player, but not quite on the class of the rest of his 2000 born teammates (excluding the defenders). Maybe I'm biased because those other players are all highly technical players. I think Curtis Jones is the player with the highest ceiling out of your talents. He and Greenwood are the two best talents of the 2001 age group (probably with Morgan Rodgers 3rd), and two players that would fit right in with the best 2000 born age group in terms of talent.
At least Gomez will be world class by next summer
I also heard a lot about Oakley Cannonier from Liverpool, but he's basically a sperm compared to these fetuses. Glatzel also looks like he could be on Brewster's level.
I've been looking at goal scoring stats from the most successful u18 players in the last decade or so in England. Those are Greenwood, Solanke, Dembele, Rossi, and Tammy Abraham. James Wilson, Will Keane, Brewster, etc... didn't score at the rate those guys did. I don't know how much Harry Kane scored, though when I saw him in the u23 finals against United, he was one of the best players. Dembele, Rossi, and Abraham had success early in their career at first team level. Then again, some of the goals Brewster scored were impressive in terms of technique, so he could develop into a good striker. You never know with youth players. Sometimes players just take a leap in their development and some stagnate. Good example is Rashford who didn't do as well as say James Wilson at u18 level. Now Wilson can't even play for Aberdeen.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostZabo that is truePlease find me the CL stat of how many times a 2:0 result was overturned in the second leg. We have almost no chance, especially in the state we're in. Not saying we shouldn't give it all, but we'd need a proper football miracle. Reality comes at you fast.
But you still have an ok chance to advance
@KidA, I try not to get too excited about our youth players now. TAA went from someone I thought of as a reasonably promising CM to a vital part of our team in the space of about three months. Players like Suso and Pacheco I spent years waiting for them to make a mark on the first team, and it never happened. Then there's the likes of Sterling who had one or two periods of terrible form between stretches of brilliance and infinite promise, to the point that it started to feel a bit pointless trying to judge how good a player he's become
Thankfully at this point we're getting our transfers right enough that we're not left hoping for someone to break through and solve our problems.
Plus it's depressing as fuck when players either drop off the radar altogether, or get completely fucked over by injuries.
