Last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy was incredible. Easily one of the best and most powerful episodes they ever had.
Started watching the old HBO animated Spawn show. That thing is surprisingly good, makes me want to read some of the old Spawn comics and I hope the new movie will be half decent.
The spawn comics are pretty awful and I say that as a huge spawn fan. It's okay for the first 50 issues or so then it just jumps off a cliff. That's around when Todd/Image stopped caring about hiring decent writers etc and it just became intensely goofy with sole purpose of making cool toys. In terms of overally quality the HBO show is still to this day the best piece of Spawn media out there. Great voice cast, and solid writing. I'd read the Spawn Godslayer one shot, and then I think they gave the two detectives their own book for awhile and that was okay. Everything else you gotta just be honest with yourself and know you're just there for the pretty panels.
Ya I rewatched the Spawn HBO show a couple of years ago. Would enjoy an update to it. Love how grimey it is even if the voice acting was not great.
Keith David carries it but yes it's not pulling from great source material at all and the writers did their best. Some of the better, later Spawn comics ape it's tone. There was awhile where the comics went full horror after Spawn ended the the world and remade it but without god.
Killing Eve has been renewed for a third season. The first episode of S2 was great, I laughed so much at some dark and twisted scenes.
By reilo Go To PostThe Mongolia special of Grand Tour is top notch.
Absolutely this.

I’ve never seen the Rocketeer but I’ve always loved the teaser poster for it: edit: weird image not loading,, anyway it’s a really great image
This Ford saloon episode is fantastic. Their cars were such cultural icons growing up in Europe. My dad even owned a Sierra and that was considered a proper car back then that didn't have a German luxury badge.
By Lunatic Go To PostTGT S03E14: Damn seeing Clarkson break down in tears was a bit unexpected.Joy, reminiscence, pain or sadness?
By Hitch Go To PostJoy, reminiscence, pain or sadness?Sad that doing the style of show is ending (studio, track times, the news etc) would no longer be a thing. Also a bit of reminiscing of the 17 years they've been doing it. Now it will only be specials for probably another two seasons. I also think he was a bit upset that they were getting too old to continue on with all of the different segments.
By reilo Go To Postlol goddamn Billions is wild.
This truly is a high production soap opera and it's glorious.
Paul and Damian are wonderful, haven't started this season yet but can't wait
Just going back to this Disney thing, where do they stand on releasing big films on Disney +, will it be getting them same time as dvd releases?
By Zabojnik Go To PostI just want to let you guys know that I won't be subscribing to Disney+.
Not your thing in terms of content or don't think it's good value?
Also I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but Disney getting star wars for four billion was such a steal
By Kidjr Go To PostJust going back to this Disney thing, where do they stand on releasing big films on Disney +, will it be getting them same time as dvd releases?Seems to be about 2 to 3 months after the home media release. Endgame won't be available at launch and it should be out on home media a month or two before Disney + launch.
By Kidjr Go To PostNot your thing in terms of content or don't think it's good value?I'm sure it'll be good value, I just don't want another subscription in my life. It's fucking death by small cuts.
Netflix is more than enough, for everything else there's distros. That's right, I don't give a fuck.

Don't give a fuck about the Disney stuff. There are a few fox shows that might be interesting, but that's about it. Not really alot they can do to catch my interest, unless they get HBO stuff (SKY got those rights here, but not for all shows).
If I had a kid that would be a must buy. I honestly just want a decent sports service to get Football & F1 together
I'd rather pay $6 per movie for a rental of the four of five Disney produced movies I wanna see a year than give them $10-15/mo for yet another streaming service.
And shit, Netflix just went up to $13/mo, too.

Anyone watching Star Trek Discovery. I'm not really getting the importance of travelling far into the future. Surely Control can wreck havoc - infecting more ships, impersonating important Starfleet people - and wait it out until they can reach Discovery in the future.
I somehow missed it in the middle of all that Disney + talk but Hulu announced on Disney's Investor Day that The Act is their biggest hit in terms of shows watched by new subscribers in their first 24h on the service.
It's a bit surprising as I don't see much talk about it but it's deserved, the show is solid and I wouldn't be shocked if Joey King gets some award nominations later in the year.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostDaniel Craig has brought her in to rewrite the Bond script. She's not rewriting it, she's just helping punch up the dialog to bring out more of the Bond smarminess.
