Only heard from Hixx that he didn't like the grind at a certain point.

There is A Lot going on in Division 2. Pretty fun so far, the small amount I've played.

I'm 50 hours in, level 21. Barely done any of the sidemissions or bounties, hardly touched the dark zone, got a shitload of projects to do, the three strongholds, 6 or so main missions, then the endgame
I was pretty much done with the first game at this stage
Division was always good, my main gripe has always been the setting, I refuse to grind for knee pads and Banana republic jackets
and there's the whole Tom Clancy thing thats got me side-eyeing hard

(talking about how streaming consoles is something that may get pushed through no matter how much customers dislike it in order to have more control over the games in order to make more money)
thing is both microsoft and sony already got streaming shit
the difference is you can just download the games to play them locally

By Kibner Go To PostAnd Netflix used to rent you physical discs.and i can stream 4k videos fine on my internet but anytime ive tried streaming games its got like 3 seconds delay
dont compare medias because streaming games is a more demanding task that has not proven to work yet
By Kibner Go To PostAnd Netflix used to rent you physical discs. They still do.
By Kibner Go To PostReminds me of when everyone on the internet said all the console makers were pushing for no used games period for these consoles. This is the worst time period before a new generation, when every dude with a twitter account and a friend's uncle who works QA thinks they know what's going to be in the next consoles and never provide any backing other than 'rumors'
🤔
(talking about how streaming consoles is something that may get pushed through no matter how much customers dislike it in order to have more control over the games in order to make more money)
By Kibner Go To PostThat is largely drivel. Spotify is apparently the 'dream model' despite only just turning a net profit, and despite the large majority of subscription fees going out to record labels. Also, I don't get what he thinks the distinction between Netflix and Spotify is.
🤔

As for LGBTQ games being 'vanished,' that seems daft in the light of Spotify and Netflix opening up more and better tailored music/shows to watchers.
By DY_nasty Go To PostThe problem is the endgame turning division into a horrible experience. But ok 🙄I'm enjoying the checklist nature of the game enough that if the endgame is shite, I'll happily just drop it rather than playing it for hundreds of hours and whining about it while downloading it for the seventeenth time
I'm really curious to see what their pricing / business model is going to be, which I figure will end up being a much bigger factor for those interested in game streaming than latency and IQ. The gamers(tm) who care about the latter weren't going to be Stadia customers anyway, but I think the casual / naive crowd is in for a pretty rude awakening when the so called "netflix for games" isn't going to cost them, say, 20 or 30$/€ per month and allow them to play everything.
It might not deter them from using the service, because even if you have to pay full price for a single game that's still better than paying full price + the hardware required to run it, but ... yeah. Google might not expect to make a whole lot of money from this in the beginning, but there's a limit to how much of the operating cost they can swallow. I'd say an "all inclusive" type of monthly subscription is pretty much out of the question.
The more you think about it, the more you realize what a titanic push this would have to end up being from Google in order to make it "the future of videogames". Especially when it probably wouldn't be too hard for M$ and Sony and Nintendo do match (to a substantial extent anyway) whatever Google will be doing *and* at the same time give you the option of running (and owning) your games locally. #pray4stadia

By blackace Go To PostMore than the pricing for consumers how are the devs making money is key to the success…You mean publishers. The same (big) publishers which have just come up with and got running their own version of how to maximize profits through online clients / stores and in some cases monthly / yearly subscriptions. They'll gladly allow their games to run on Stadia, if it means making even more money, but they aren't going to make it easy for Google by making big concessions, not the way a dying music industry had to.
Of course, if the publisher is Google, then that's another story. That's obviously their end goal, it *has* to be.

By blackace Go To Postif consumers are paying a monthly fee to stream games vs a publisher selling full priced games I can't see a publisher wanting to do that…My point exactly. The fee would have to be so big it would be an instant turn off for the casual crowd.
There's ways around that, I suppose. Maybe something like a 20$ base subscription, which gets you unlimited access to tier 3 games and X number of hours of tier 2 games access, while tier 1 games remain on a per game / full price basis. Then, once Google starts acquiring studios and producing their own AAA titles, those become tier 1 + tier 3 games, while the subscription fee sees a substantial increase, much like it happened with Netflix.
It'll be interesting to see how the big three will counter. I guess they'll all go the Microsoft route sooner rather than later. Buy the game once, play it on console or PC or through Playstation Now and whatever Microsoft's and eventually Nintendo's version will be called. Seems straightforward enough.
I almost don't think it's possible... because if you gotta pay 20/30 bucks for a once a month usage I can't see consumers being happy... especially PC gamers
xbox already got game pass which is $10 for streaming + downloading their games and it works on pc (and will probably work on switch in the near future) idk why they would work with google

Nioh is very hard. I'm not good at the Souls series, but I managed to muddle my way through them. Nioh is just another level up though. Can't make it past the first boss.
My timing for ki pulses is well off and I'm not sure how to best implement stances. Fantastic game tho. Combat is fluid and the transition between stances almost instantaneous.

I heard MS just capitulated the rendering engine of their browser though, after all that Internet Explorer wrought upon the world.
Didn’t even go with WebKit either; went full Blink.
What’s the long con here?
Oh, and btw:
Dat SF2 shirt tho. Would cop the hoe just for the shirt.
