Nice. I went to two different stores to check it out in person, before buying it. But both didnt have any in stock. So ended up just buying this glorious model o.
But with my now stupidly large mouse collection, I probably will end up getting it one day
By HottestVapes Go To PostI upgraded my monitor arm to a nice, thick pole protruding from the back of my desk and I couldn't be happier.Wall-mounted / invisible arm is the final form, but I will allow this sidegrade.

Below 80 is probably diminishing returns territory.

I only see the pole, so I’m pretty happy with it. The monitor hides the arm and all the cables are routed down the back of the pole so they’re completely out of site. It’s not on par with your cable routing wizardry.
I’ll get a pic up when my desk isn’t cluttered with waterblocks and crusty socks :3

You would think that, but I have seen plenty of fps nerds be amazed at how much lighter it felt than their other light weight mouses.
I only have the ec2-a to compare with on the light weight side, which is 90. But the difference is huge from that.
Well, not like there are lighter wireless mice out there. I can't do cables anymore, playing with the G400s for a week cemented that.
The only other option would be a weight-modded G305, but it's just too small. Think I'll be fine with 80g for a while.

Well I actually finally started selling and giving away, as it ws never meant as a collection, rather a search for the perfect mouse. Right now I got Ec2-a, logitech g502, g700, rival 300 and now glorious model o.
I'm actually really weird in that I don't really care if my mouse is wireless but my keyboard has to be wireless.. almost the opposite of most people.
Put my keyboard in my lap sometimes but my mouse always needs a flat surface.

That is indeed weird.

I’m annoyed that I have to manually turn off the LEDs of the ducky kb because they don’t turn off when I shut down the pc.
About to upgrade my mouse pad. Getting a SteelSeries QcK Edge large, 450x400x2mm. Currently using an older SteelSeries pad, which is on the smallish side at 30x30cm, but more importantly much thicker (and sponge-like as opposed to feeling like cloth). I can feel my wrist pressing against the bottom edge of it while gaming and it's just not comfortable.
I'll probably have to place it a good 10cm further to the right than I'd ideally like to due to the G613 being a full size keyboard, but there's not a whole lot I can do about it until Logitech decide to finally release a tenkeyless version, the cunts.

If you have a better suggesting speak now or forever use wired peripherals.

Anyone play Hades? Bought it during that EGS sale and recently started getting into it. I'm loving it so far

Are wrist rests for mousepads generally frowned upon? Not many high end brands seem to do them.
Kind of couldn't imagine life without one these days but idk if I should be thinking of doing something else.

Is there like a shorter version to use with a mat cus that'd be p swell.

I was able to try out their prototypes a few years ago at a QuakeCon and have stuck with them ever since because nothing else I have used has been near as nice.
My custom reservoir is finally on the way from China. Just waiting on the EK DDC pump to come into stock at OCUK for the rest of my parts.
wrist rests are fine if you aren't doing competitive shooters or such. remember my mom bought one where the wrist rest was big titties on a lady. i loved that as a kid
Yeah, I can't imagine competitive playing with a wrist rest. As I've said, I feel like even the 6mm of my current mouse pad is an impediment.

By diehard Go To Postwhy would you run a GPU bound benchmark tho
Gaming-Benchmarks (Min FPS) between 65W 3700X and unlocked 9900k:
RotTR 9900K 8% faster
FC5 9900K 16% faster
Wolfenstein 2 9900K 4% slower
AC: O 9900K 3% slower
Cities Skylines 9900K 4% slower
KC: Deliverance 9900K 9% slower

What is it now with Intel's and AMD's top of the line chips? If games can use the large L3 cache and many cores efficiently, then the Ryzen 9 3900x is the top scorer. For the majority of recent games, Intels 9900k (with and without limit to its power consumption) holds the upper hand compared to AMD, at the price of more power consumption. In diverse tasks, the 12 core AMD competes against Intel's XE-models and with AMD's own Threadripper series. The Ryzen 3700X is a up to 50% more powerful chip than the 2700X in applications, through improvements to the architecture alone. In games 20% more fps are not a rarity, but still, Intel is nearly undeafeated with the 9900k.
In conclusion, there is a significant gain in performance with ryzen 3000, as long as the improvements the series offers are used. Only a few games use 12 cores or more and we therefore do not recommend to buy the 3900x for pure gaming PCs, except if you are a streamer.

It's the same story from 2017, if a game can leverage the extra cores, etc. etc. but two years later we're seeing a stock 6 core 8600K/9600K sitting within the margin of error for performance next to a 12 core/24 thread 3900X in modern releases
The memory speed thing is tricky, yeah the 3700x has faster memory but those memory speeds are are the official JEDEC speeds supposed by their IMC's.
In a realistic scenario you should be using the same speed memory with XMP/AMP though.
Adam just think of it like this: the 6700k was so good that Intel is still using the same uArch!

It's understandable and completely fine to test that way, but I felt it was worth pointing out to further ruin Adam's day.

The new Hero sensor is a goddamn wonder of efficiency. Battery level was at 80%, after 3 hours of Apex ... 78%. Absolutely sensational.
