According to Reuters, Emmanuel Macron, the French president, told fellow EU leaders during the EU27 discussion (ie, after Theresa May had left the room) that he thought May had only a 10% chance of winning the vote next week before he arrived at the summit. After hearing her address the meeting, he was revising that down to 5%, he said.

Still blew my mind that Pelosi thinks it's not worth it to impeach Trump.

I don't think that's a sincerely-held belief. It's a position that will be blown over the morning the Mueller report drops - by doing it this way she can credibly say the content of the report swung it for her.
good move, not worth the risk

It's nearing the make Hillary Clinton president now online petition, which funnily enough is also by people who were too lazy to vote on the original day of voting. Brexit means brexit.

This actually casts a far wider net than the referendum did. UK citizens that have been out of the country for an extended period (but are still British citizens) can sign, while they couldn't vote in 2016. Likewise, UK residents including EU citizens (who may be affected by this Brexit thing) can sign this petition, while they couldn't vote in 2016. It's fun and easy to say that these people are just a bunch of idiots that were too lazy to vote, but when you do that you're tarring a hell of a lot of people that, through no fault of their own, were denied that opportunity and their voice.
This petition also comes nearly three years after the vote, not half a week. I'm not saying the petition will have any effect at all on government policy, but it demonstrates a strength of feeling that goes beyond a heat of the moment anguish. Parties would be minded to remember that in any future elections.
Speaking of which, Chris Davies, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, has pled guilty to expenses fraud. I'd expect a by-election, and an interesting one too. Davies is an ERG-member Tory, while the Lib Dems - who recently selected Welsh Lib Dem leader Jane Dodds as their PPC for that seat - are the second most popular party in the constituency.
It's wild that so few people in American media is even capable of writing an incisive piece like this.

A lawmaker in Maine recently suggested that jail would be like “a country club” if incarcerated women were given access to free pads and tampons.Link
State Rep. Richard Pickett (R) made the comments during a hearing last week to advance a state bill that would guarantee free menstrual products in all of Maine’s jails, county correctional facilities and state correctional and detention facilities. Pickett, the chief of police in Dixfield, voted against the bill and explained his reasoning, the Maine Beacon reported.
“Quite frankly, and I don’t mean this in any disrespect, the jail system and the correctional system was never meant to be a country club,” he said, according to Bangor Daily News reporter Alex Acquisto.

WASHINGTON — President Trump undercut his own Treasury Department on Friday by announcing that he was rolling back North Korea sanctions that it imposed just a day ago.
The move, announced on Twitter, was a remarkable display of dissension within the Trump administration and represented a striking case of a White House intervening to reverse a major national security decision made only hours earlier by the president’s own officials.
“It was announced today by the U.S. Treasury that additional large scale Sanctions would be added to those already existing Sanctions on North Korea,” Mr. Trump said on Twitter. “I have today ordered the withdrawal of those additional Sanctions!”
Mr. Trump appeared to confuse the day that the sanctions were announced, saying the move occurred on Friday rather than on Thursday.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said the decision was a favor to Mr. Kim.
“President Trump likes Chairman Kim, and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary,” she said.
Treasury and State Department officials, including career staff members and political appointees, spend months carefully crafting sanctions based on intensive intelligence gathering and legal research.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/22/world/asia/north-korea-sanctions.html
Current and former Treasury Department officials were stunned by Mr. Trump’s decision on Friday. Some said they wondered if the move was planned in advance, as a gesture to Mr. Kim. Others feared that America’s vaunted sanctions regime had been compromised.
“For an administration that continues to surprise, this is another first — the president of the United States undercutting his own sanctions agency for imposing sanctions on Chinese actors supporting North Korea,” said John E. Smith, the former director of the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, who left the department last year. “It’s a win for North Korea and China and a loss for U.S. credibility.”
🤦♂️
If Americans really gave a shit Trump would have never happened in the first place and especially not after refusing to release his taxes but we lazy complacent jerks who just wanna watch our streaming services.
