more like people actually being affected by shit influences their voting enthusiasm
Does being contrarian make you post something you think runs counter to my point but doesn’t? I didn’t say it was a motivator
I'm bad faith but you guys are linking state elections to impeachment lol aite
Top down politics could not be more disingenuous

Yes it’s just us making the link. Trump himself hasn’t campaigned for these two losers. He hasn’t had to put out BS press releases about how he actually helped them in their losses, GOP hasn’t been calling the impeachment a vote killer and the real narrative of a continued bleeding of suburbia under Trump is nowhere to be seen

The reasons behind increased voter turnout have little if anything to do with long talks about Ukraine.
Like shit, maybe ask Kibner instead of defaulting to what's going on halfway across the country.
Again ... please point me to my claim impeachment is driving people to the voting machines
Hint: if you’re argument is tbat it’s not having an effect you’re in agreement with me lololol

Perfect Blue is the one acting like I actually believe you all care about a state election outside of how good/bad it makes the party look.
Also of note: even though I’m not claiming impeachment is a motivator, I’m am countering the claim national politics hasn’t had effects at state levels. The suburb losses have been a direct result of Trumpism

A dem gov helps with how hosue districts are drawn
By Fenderputty Go To PostA dem gov helps with how hosue districts are drawnSee this is why I laugh at the flip flopping on conservative Dems
It's cool when it works - but most don't scrutinize when where and why. So, the takeaways shouldn't be "the national stages impact was a factor" when Rispone was an unknown clown and Trump hasn't been able consistent at all in getting people elected.
And something something you won't read about Louisiana politics not gonna waste my time. Like if you knew all the shit our big winner was doing you'd probably feel differently...
so where am i wrong about some of you not caring about state politics again? dude is on the other side of the fence about just about every national stance from the democrats but at least he beat trump's NPC...
and this is after you guys just had the realization that right likes democrats that fuck over their party more than actual republicans too
if this is the basis of a long term strategy you gotta admit it looks like pretty shaky

Need governors to make house fair and a better representation of national politics.
What I also think is funny, is that you at first criticize the rush to draw national conclusions from the race but then proceed to do so yourself. Of course with a Dems ain’t shit point of view

I only really posted those results to point out how high voter turnout was. My reasoning, in order of significance:
1) election was on a Saturday when LSU was playing an evening game
2) things are getting bad enough to warrant people making an effort to cause change
e: neither of which have much of anything to do with Trump (because the issues have existed and been growing from long before he even ran)
e2: also, Rispone was just a terrible candidate with terrible ads and he still almost won

By Kidjr Go To PostUK Lads you voting?Easy choice for me – #TeamNoneOfTheAbove
Honestly seems like one of the worst choices in recent times.
Labour and the math dont add up, really dont see how they plan on go about taxing these so called tech giants, will nationalise and run everything to the ground but at least jezza seems to mean well.
And Boris, well its Boris.
Making life decisions that are counter to your own self-interests is the raison d'etre of the Arsenal fan.
By Roberto Larcos Go To PostEasy choice for me – #TeamNoneOfTheAboveSounds like you should move to Norn Iron then. You get to vote without it having an impact on who runs the country
By NinjaFridge Go To PostSounds like you should move to Norn Iron then. You get to vote without it having an impact on who runs the countryI cast my ballot in an extremely safe Conservative seat – how I choose to use my vote has precisely zero impact on who is in government. At least Northern Ireland uses a proportional system for Stormont elections, so if I did live there I'd more likely have a representative that I align with. When are Labour gonna swing in behind that?
By FortuneFaded Go To PostNo surprise kidjr is against taxing the rich
Really dont mind paying what I pay in tax at all lol
But from my very limited understanding I was under the impression that going about taxing Google, Facebook etc isnt as simplistic as jezza is making out. Business is registered in Luxembourg and how would you even verify something like point of sale with a firm like Google.

I know man, I'm politically juxtaposed. I'm very much aware without the capitalist system I would not be where I am today however I am at the point where I feel like the system doesn't work for the many. Greater good and all that jazz, but when you lift the bonnet under anything jezza says it just doesn't make sense. Nationalise BT doesnt make any sense, especially with that final salary pension scheme still in tact (I believe ), are you now as a public sector service going to employ and pay people the required amount to generate the returns needed.... like who would even fund such a thing... oh wait the private sector which I can see being reluctant to do because wheres the end value for them. Sorry rambling a little high lol.

Maybe we could work out something with the rest of the EU. Oh, wait... nevermind.
Boris Johnson now says "forget the corporate tax cut, it's gone"
My interest in following the Brexit dissipated after the GE was announced. It's a foregone conclusion.

By Fenderputty Go To PostAnother Bill Mitch will sit on thats actually got some shot at bipartisan support
You'd think some good weed would help his Republican caucus make it through impeachment stuff, too.
some of those war crime pardons are interesting
like the lt who ordered his guys to kill those people in afghanistan for example...
the biometrics were tossed or just ignored
they were all definitely bomb makers lolz
the afghan national army guys with his platoon fired first
none of his people vouched for him - but almost certainly because they were granted immunity
but 19 years for a bad call is definitely some shit too. we're definitely past due on military justice reform as well. the trial for the seal went to shit because the prosecution fucked up the case on several instances. bergdahl should've been walked to a firing squad as soon as he got off the plane but the president's comments ruined any chance of a real trial there as well. wishful thinking of course but what are you gonna do :/
behenna killed the guy responsible for killing/maiming several under his command in cold blood tho. thatwasdifferent.gif
should've been relieved before it came to that (and he never should've been allowed custody of the guy either) but iraq was some cowboy shit back then.
