The biggest thing that makes it awkward for Poch is the fact he’s never won a trophy. His team has ultimately failed in every game that could have led to one. Is he really ready to take over from a guy who just won 3 CLs? By Real Madrid standards he’s a Moyes.

My expectations for next season is to win the league and maybe the CDR. If we can achieve that then I'm happy. No way we win a 4th CL in a row.

People say he's the best goalkeeper in the world but does it really show when all he hasn't won the EPL title for the past 5 years?

If Liverpool managed to win the CL that would mean every top six club but Tottenham won a trophy in the last calendar year.
Poch doesn't have a winning mentality, look at him losing against this Man U team for the FA Cup or chocking against Juventus even after he had already remuntada'd it in the first leg. It'd be hilarious going from Zidane to him.

So City will sign Mahrez and Jorginho, any more? Surely Pep was lying when he said they’d only sign one or two.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostJuventus has offered Alex Sandro a 5 year contract.
Been in the pipeline for a while. Up to him to reject.

What?
💀
Oh, Zidane quit. Not entirely unexpected.
I remember he hinted at it earlier in the year. Must be a lot of pressure; I mean, the Spanish press were all over him saying that only a Champions League win could save his job, that was when Loliga was looking over and Tottenham mauled them at the end of last year. Better step down before being kicked out, like all other Madrid managers. Smart.

Remember when Benitez was Real Madrid manager? 💀
Fucking Papa Flo had to ruin it for everyone by sacking him and appointing Zizou.

By Killer7 Go To PostUnited lads.Signings.
Would you take no signings but Mou out.
Or
Mou in and signings?
Unless you still want Valencia, Young, Shaw and Darmian to be your fullbacks, sure.

i wouldnt even take galactico signings and mou out. terrible question.
mou stays. we prosper.
Neverton appoint Silva, Paolo Guerrero is back on the WC, Abramovich is taking his ball home. What a day lads.
I'd take signings of course. Mou can then leave at the end of the season be sacked mid-season and still leave behind better players.
Fair play to Zidane and it makes the defeat slightly sweeter that such a legend can bow out of managing his club with that as his final achievement. As I said on the night, nobody has eaten more crow on that appointment as me; he’s been perfect for Real and few people if any in world football could’ve done more for the club in that time.
Don’t think those Pochetino negotiations will be a problem when they’re dangling Gareth Bale the other way.

I'm going to miss how Zidane setup our team. His 4-4-2 formation + diamond midfield was amazing, even when it didn't look like the best football it worked for the most part, which is what mattered. He got the most out of players like Modric, Kroos, Marcelo, Isco and Ronaldo using the diamond. He made the best out of injuries to Bale. His "Madrid B" team was something else, those 7-8 player rotations that season was so much fun. He cemented Casemiro as our marquee defensive unit, he elevated our game to the next level in the Champions League. He gave youth a chance and trusted Asensio and Vasquez to lead when we needed them. He didn't bring in any Galactico signings, he made do with what he already had.
1 thing that stand out for me the most is how much better we got at absorbing pressure under Zidane. We never panicked, always stayed calm and true to our game. Patience was always rewarded, our players learned the meaning of suffering.
People laugh and mock Zidane for not having the football know-how or tactical ability but you don't simply achieve what he did solely with just luck. Other managers had the same core players and achieved much less.
Thank you Zizou for everything. I'm sad but I also respect his decision to leave while on top and having won everything.

By domino Go To Postwait what's wrong w/ Everton getting Marco Silva? i missed something here.rvy wanted Marco Silva for Benfica.
Zidane was just a master man manager, he did employ some tactics but Madrid already had world-class talent up the ying yang. That's not to take away from his accomplishments, probably no one else could have done the same. Look at Rafa, is he a better tactical coach? Yes, but he couldn't control the players or garner their respects. He probably saw the writing on the wall with ro aldo and Bale and didnt want to manage this disaster. Iknow I'll eat crow but Real are going to hit a rocky season. Pocket Tuna almost guarantees no titles.
By inky Go To PostConte seems a good follow up to ZizouForgot he was out of a job, probably would do better than Pocket Tuna at winning titles but it does seem like Madrid want to focus more on their youth talent which is Poch's domain.
