I feel like I'm hardly ever getting enemies into a stun state, I tend to recall the axe as soon as I've thrown it in combat. The more I play the more I wish it had a proper map with chests and found collectibles marked on it. Opportunity missed to have you throw the axe into the water yourself, and then lead into a cutscene when the World Serpent appears

iirc barefist attacks build stun faster than the axe
Yeah but I don't wanna fight without the axe ¬¬
Need to get better at telling Atreus to fire arrows, especially against these Dark Elf fuckers

Beat the game. Story hit some.....weird beats at the end there. Loved most of the characters though. Atreus is a boss.
Think the Witch's home was my favourite location in the game so far, just that environment was beautiful especially with HDR, colours fucking everywhere you look lol. Although the big serpent reveal was very cool as well.
oh shit.
Was thinking the game was a 10 so far, but then got the Blades of Chaos, now this is God of War. Game is a 15 right now. Combat is so much more fun.

YES
Wish there were more spectacle bosses like Baldur but at the same time I enjoyed the Valkyries and reskinned trolls more mechanically.
Great game. Hope they don't fuck up the sequels.

Nice
bashing an enemy of a ledge
Back to Midgard doing sidequests, absolutely loving it now. The spirit one ends with someone asking you to do something else, but it didn't seem to open a new quest for me. Any ideas?

haha so true
Swear there's an update for this every day
GotY, carries on like this it'll be GotG, maybe even GOAT
Genuinely think the combat against regular enemies is better than it is in Soulsborne. Finding it much more intuitive than I thought I would to keep on top of it, given how many moves you've got (even halfway through the skill tree)
Light attack, heavy attack, held light attack, executioner's cleave, finishers, quick-throw, light throw, heavy throw, light rune, heavy rune, active talisman, atreus arrow, atreus rune, block, parry, shield bash from parry, ground pound from parry, sprinting light attack, sprinting heavy attack, dodge, roll, plus the moves specific to bare-handed combat and spartan rage.
Even if I don't necessarily have to use all of those moves, it comes naturally to do it. Especially on hard where you have to pick and choose your attacks and maneuvres to keep you doing damage and out of trouble. Something about the way Arkham City and Knight did this that never clicked for me. I loved the more simple version in Asylum, but I could never get into that flow state in the later games of knowing which buttons to press without thinking about it.

By DY_nasty Go To PostSouls combat isn't that good
Did they tweak the camera btw?
Feel like I have more control over it now during combat than I did a few days ago

The mechanics is as deep as it can get, but has never been as confusing as in Arkham games.
By ATTICUS H Go To PostAt some point, I'll buy a PS4 for this game. May not be this year, but at some point I have to.
Just get it on PS5 like with pretty much all of PS4's exclusives so far.
Yeah the witch time rune is cool. Literally an optional rune works better than one of the main combat mechanics in breath of the wild smh
By FlutterPuffs Go To Postlmao Nolan North and Troy Baker are the voices for Modi and Magni.Really? Damn
Edit: nvm thought you said brok and sindri
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostEir can fuck right off. Not wasting my time with her.Haha.
The world serpent is fucking great
Thought he looked a bit stupid when he was revealed some months ago, but the scale, the design, the voice effects, the vibration and the way he changes the environment are brilliant

Finished it last night.
Fantastic game, I loved exploring and the lore. The puzzles were nothing too complex which i really like. Loved the gameplay when you get a certain weapon.
My biggest disappointment was the lack of bosses.
I think they really aet the game up well for a sequel, which has to be my most wanted game right now.
