So that when I die, I have a place of my choosing to be buried at with less financial burden on my loved ones. Above ground since I live in a swamp as well as it being slightly more convenient for people to visit.

why now tho? i guess they're expensive? i don't really care where i'm getting burried but it's pretty affordable so no need to worry now.

Yes, burial costs are expensive here and I don't want to be cremated. It's selfish of me, tbh, but it's what I want and the prices will only go up. If nothing has been bought beforehand, a traditional funeral and burial is easily 5k USD and often more.

it costs about that much here too but for us that's not that much and everybody can afford it so it's not really a worry people have and even if you can't afford there are plenty of organisations that will pay for it.

personally i don't really care what happens to my body, the people that outlive me can decide what they want to do with it.
