I love the Steelseries but after some time, the Deathadder is just as good.
Did I just completely miss SSD's dropping down to reasonable levels? My 500gb ssd that I bought like 2 years ago, is now more than the price of a newer model 1tb. What a time to be alive.
Not sure if to go for a 1tb or 2tb one now...

Zowie ec2-a. Still the best for games like csgo imo. But for less twitchy games, there is a lot of good ones out there.
I have the Logitech G502, G700s, Rival 300 as well, and for browsing the internet a lot and stuff, I really like the free scrolling of the logitech ones. But they keep breaking for me which is quite annoying. Rival is alright, but I feel like Zowie does everything it does better. I should really just sell it.
Want to try out the new logitech g pro wireless ones, despite my previous trouble with them though. I don't understand how they made a wireless mouse that light.
honestly, i just use the cheapest logitech mouse and keyboard for like $20. never saw a difference between those and the GaMeRStUfF

For keyboards the difference is massive, going from a membrane to mechanical keyboard imo. Going back to using a laptop, or having to use my old membrane logitech keyboard when I managed to break my mechanical keyboard just felt so fucking bad. Like actually horrible.
For a mouse it's a bit more what you actually need it for. I think the cheaper logitech ones lack the free scrolling (?) which is a massive plus even for just casual web browsing and light gaming imo. But weight, precision and grip style, probably doesn't matter much if you aren't playing a competitive shooter.

The G Pro uses thinner plastic and a smaller battery. If they adopted the honeycomb shell that FinalMouse used, they could easily go under 80g with a wireless mouse.

I don't know if I could go back to a regular keyboard now after having mechanical.
A mouse might be different, as long as the shape and dpi is ok.

Yeah that is impressive as well. There is a few things about the G305 that makes it a no go for me though. Especially those side buttons, which I hear is somewhat fixed on the G Pro Wireless.
I still feel like the zowie shape and feel is just unmatched from everything I have tried. But well, I still haven't actually tried the g pro wireless.

i have a mechanical keyboard at work but for gaming i usually only need wasd so i don't really see any need for an expensive keyboard.

There is wireless mechanical keyboards.
On the loudness, there is quite a few different kinds of switches. I went to the store to try them all out and found one that I liked and wasn't too loud. But you can also order a cheap test set.

Yeah the drop is crazy. I didn't realize it either until I was looking at nvme drives and planning out my storage configuration.

I am typing this on the logitech g613, wireless mechanical keyboard. It's great. It used Logitech's Romer G switches, and these particular ones are close to Cherry Browns I'd say.
A mechanical keyboard makes a massive difference over membrane. They feel so good to type on.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostIs M.2 SSD's worth it these days? I never actually used a M.2 port.
Depends, limited for drive space? Then yeah.
Feel your 2.5inch SSD isn’t fast enough? Go with an NVMe
I went with a Crucial m.2 because I just didn’t want the extra cables hanging out my PSU. Bonus is the read/write are a tad better than a Samsung 2.5inch while being a lot cheaper than an equivalent Samsung m.2.
Ah not sure then. The cable part is probably the biggest plus for me, mostly due to being extremely lazy and not wanting to tidy it all up in there nicely again. I say again, but last time I did get some guy to actually do that for me... and it looks pretty damn good in there now, with no wires just hanging anywhere, like they always do when I go in myself.

There is probably a better alternative to cherry mx brown and red for quiet mechanical typing but I am unaware of any.

If anyone's looking for fan controlling software, I can vouch for Argus Monitor. Has most of the features SpeedFan has and it's way more user friendly and easier to set up. It's payware, but it's worth it since it keeps getting updated, unlike SpeedFan, which is pretty much dead in the water. Most importantly though, it's not blacklisted by BattlEye or any other anti-cheating software. It just works™.

I've never tried the vektor, but yeah, I wouldn't be very worried about the sensor difference there at all. I really love my zowie right now though, and only really want to switch it out if for a good wireless.

Nah I already had my pc built and been slowly upgrading it through the years, and then when moving to Norway I upgraded a few things (got a new cpu and motherboard), and got a local guy where I bought it all from to do it. To my surprised he cleaned up and sorted the whole thing for me as well.

I'm gonna test it for a couple of weeks before committing. It's free for 30 days, after that it's 8.5$/1yr or 17.5$/3yrs.
Not like there are many valid alternatives out there. It's either SpeedFan or this.
And to think this could all be avoided if the BIOS/UEFI was capable of reading GPU temps.

If it was the look they were going for, they fucking nailed it tbf.
Well, that was easy. I found the root cause of my 6 minutes to boot problem. It was USB related, as suspected.
Logitech's G933 wireless receiver is what's is causing the hold-up. Off to Logitech's forums I go, unless anyone's got suggestions.
EDIT: Actually, it might be just the one rear USB3 port that's causing it. Switching to a front port seems to have solved the issue ... for now.

Logitech tried to give me the work around on the phone, asking me if I did all the trouble shooting and I keep telling them it's a mechanical issue. They're gonna send me a replacement. I just have to wait for the warranty to approve so they can send me an E label to ship their mouse to them in order to get a replacement. Such a hassle.
They didn't bother with me sending back my semi-faulty G613 keyboard, they just sent me the replacement. I ended up selling it to a friend (who didn't care about the super sensitive caps lock key) for like 80€. What a deal.
