By Hitch Go To PostJust watched Minority ReportSpielberg absolutely nails the pacing in that movie. Pretty much everything from the car chase onward is pitch perfect. The scene where Anderton is trying to hide after the surgery is super good.
Great film, story in the second half is engrossing as fuck.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostI recoil whenever someone uses Mad Max: Fury Road as the pinnacle of action cinema.I don't know why people pretend Con Air doesn't exist.

I watched Face/off and Con Air a few months ago. Face/Off is still great. Con Air aged poorly, very poorly.
By rodeoclown Go To PostFallout sitting at 97% on RT after 33 reviews. The best action star working today, easily. The man is a legend.
The Cruise Missile did it again.

One of the greatest movies ever made.
Just in terms of filmmaking craft its fucking incredible. Every single element that makes up a film - editing, cinematography, choreography, the economy of its script, its set and production design - its absolutely impeccable. And then in the nuts and bolts of actually engaging you, it smashes that as well.
It’s the best action film I’ve seen in my entire life. I’ve seen it maybe 10-15 times since it came out. I don’t know how Miller pulled it off.

Just watched 'A fantastic woman' can't help but feel they missed a lot of chances with such topic and such a great starring actress

TIL that "The Thing" actually got bad reviews, wow. I feel like some sort of hipster for much i like practical effects.
Sorry To Bother You is such an odd movie. I think I liked it because it was funny and didn't turn the message they're hinting at into the sole reason the movie exists in the first place. I was able to get passed the white person voice gimmick that plays much better in the movie than it did in the trailer. Lakeith, Tessa, and Jermaine Fowler are the standout performances. It goes some wildly unexpected places. So much so that I guess that was the reason 3 people walked out about 75% of the way through. At a point you either decide to go along for the ride or throw up your hands and say nah man. In a way, Season 2 of Atlanta is apt preparation for this movie. If you saw what happened in some of those episodes, this is kind of like the theatrical version of that. I'll end by saying that the initial trailer for this doesn't prepare you for what happens.
By Elchele Go To PostHow Sandler still gets money to make his movies is beyond mePeople like bad comedy. I used to like some of his films when I was younger but his best performance is in Punch drunk love
Wonder if Happy Gilmore holds up
Thought it was by far the best Sandler film when I enjoyed Little Nicky, Billy Madison, The Waterboy and Big Daddy

How come nobody told me how much of a badass Denzel is in The Equalizer? He kicks ass in this movie.
Just watched You Were Never Really There. It had gotten positive reviews and I'm a big fan of We Need To Talk About Kevin but I really didn't like this film.
Yeah so I'm in the fury road is one of the greatest films ever made. Period.
Like subjectively speaking there a films that have given me similar feels (casino royal, dredd, the raid etc) but none come close to the all round package that is fury road.
I actually think its better than T2 and matrix.

Because he's successful? Not really a hard concept.
WTF is Rogue Trooper
Edit:
Created in 1981 by comics veterans Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons, Rogue Trooper follows a blue-skinned, genetically-manufactured super-soldier named Rogue who resides on “Nu-Earth,” a post-apocalyptic version of our Earth that has been severely damaged thanks to chemical and biological warfare. In the universe of the Rogue Trooper comics, dead soldiers’ personalities are downloaded onto microchips; Rogue, the aforementioned super-soldier, acquires three chips belonging to his former comrades, in search of the Traitor General responsible for killing them.

By Random Ass Username Go To PostIs this the Ritual 2?Doubt it. This is apparently done by The H Collective and they just signed a distribution deal with Sony.
A look at their website and they don't seem to have much on their plate, XXX4 seems to be their biggest project.
