Russell was back in practice this week. Even without him, we have to beat ATL. They owe it to me for my birthday.

Worst rookie of the year will be Fultz
Ainge won
Fultz easily should’ve sat out the first year, tradition x rehab that shoulder

Fultz just kinda bums me out. He should've been able to come in and balance out their roster more and help their space with his stroke. Then he changed his jump shot, he has some mystery shoulder thing nobody can diagnose and he's barely played.
Like, he was an awesome shooter in college. I don't get it.

Shook always wins a lot of the time
He played in a no name school too x didn’t play in March madness
Fultz needs to just talk about it

As teams pick up trade activity before the trade deadline, the Cavaliers are shaping up to be perhaps the most fascinating contending team. They have two first-round draft picks — including the heralded Brooklyn Nets’ selection via the Irving trade — but the superstar player whom the franchise could pursue with that pick has not been made available. Multiple NBA teams have cited Tristan Thompson as an asset Cleveland is willing to move in the right deal, such as one for the Los Angeles Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan.I, too, like to trade players when their value is at its lowest.
Cavs always unload garbage and get good players in return
Just boggles my mind how teams help LeBron
I expect Marc to be traded straight up for Thompson with no Nets pick included

Beal is one step away from crying in the car.
They don't use Porter and Oubre enough
They rely on a Morris twin in their core

To be fair Wall was and or is injured, but none of what was said is false. They too cool for school. It's okay that they aren't leaders. It's ernies fault for not having any on the team however.
Also Brooks is awful. Worse than Witt
I exaggerate a lot of my emo posts but Fultz legit has me super bummed out. Like karma might legit be real....instead of injuries, it sapped actual skills and shit. Colangelo is going to send us back to our natural habitat on the treadmill before leaving on some "know your place" shit. We legit have lost 4 20 point leads this season ffs.
How good did people expect the wizards to be tho? I think they're 4th best in the east so I was surprised to see they're actually 5th. Figured they were barely scraping by until I checked the standings after that vid.
Disclaimer: I've only seen their marquee games and they look Aight in those

What was he referring to about the Beal/Wall relationship? He on to something or not really.
I thought they had beef in the past cause of John the Pocket Watcher but they're good now since he got paid too. They beefing again?
latest nba draft thoughts
ayton: dwight with a jumper but worse defense. his lack of awareness/disinterest at times is concerning tho and may prevent him from being really good, settles for jumpers when he could crush almost anyone inside.
bamba: offense has picked up over the last month but i'm not quite buying it. he won't be thabeet bad but maybe he can be gobert? 7'9 wingspan hype covers that fact he needs to put way more pounds to play the 5 at the next level.
doncic: haven't watched much unfortunately but his stats indicate he's almost prime hedo good @ 18. doesn't have great athleticsm however and will have to use size/skill in the nba. definite top 5 tho and no it's not another hezonja situation (hezonja couldn't get consistent minutes while doncic is leading shit)
bagley: not a fan. cant protect the rim and is largely getting by on offense with a size/athleticism advantage that wont be there in the nba.
young: short arms and doesnt finish at the rim well. but his shot is pure and the stats he's putting up are ridiculous. that said, i think he's a huge gamble in the top 5--could be another trey burke deal.
sexton: great physical toolset and a true alpha dog. can't finish with his left that well but the bigger issue is that he's pretty selfish for a pg, only 3 apg with the ball in his hands all the time. prefer him over young however.
still need to watch kevin knox and jaren jackson

I agree that a good bit of what Bagley is doing now won't necessarily translate. But if he continues to develop his range and work on his defense, he'll be a good 4/small ball 5.
Speaking of Duke players in the NBA, Kyrie was on JJ Redick's podcast, recorded after the game in London yesterday. Interesting note: JJ says one of the rims was very crooked, contributing to the first half performance of the Celtics and the second half performance of the Sixers.
Also, this just in: are we sure there were dinosaurs?

By Smokey Go To PostWhat was he referring to about the Beal/Wall relationship? He on to something or not really.
There's nothing there really. That's not what's wrong with the team.
Gortat literally just said he wants to retire in Orlando and he also wants to retire like...next year. Our front court is just teribad and we're capped out.
By domino Go To PostHow good did people expect the wizards to be tho? I think they're 4th best in the east so I was surprised to see they're actually 5th. Figured they were barely scraping by until I checked the standings after that vid. They were the team to me that could dethrone the Cavs a year or two ago. Great backcourt, Wall had the hunger/drive to push his team, Gortat was playing great D and Oubre/Bogdanovic were killing it off the bench.
Disclaimer: I've only seen their marquee games and they look Aight in those
The problem is the starting unit doesn't have enough legit defenders outside of Porter and the O can go balls up at any moment if Wall can't bail them out. Gortat's D inconsistent, but BAD inconsistent (slightly above average to terrible) . And again, relying on a Morris twin in the core is never a good idea.
while i may seem negative, i do think this class is about as good as last year's--just a lot more heavy on bigs and no lonzo madness
You have to draft Young as the first point guard off the board no matter what basically. The stats are just too good to risk passing on and being wrong. I don't love the look at him but I would draft him.
yeah Trey Burke never been as good in his life as Young is rn. kid is incredible to watch.
the college game seems really difficult for the hyped bigs.
By DY_nasty Go To Postits so hard to judge one and done bigs now because of the obvious sandbagging

I totally forgot the Wolves owed their pick this year to Atlanta from the Adreian Payne trade. Good thing it's 23rd right now, I guess.
By Doomsayer Go To PostI'm telling you guys… Bagley is going to be Randle 2.0Randle went months without hitting a jumpshot, going left, or playing any kind of defense lol
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI might cut Gortat for those commentsContext:
fuk outa here
WASHINGTON — Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat said today he doesn’t expect his NBA career will continue after his current contract expires following the 2018-19 season, and he added he would love to end his career with the Orlando Magic.
“I would love to join the team for maybe two or three months, or maybe half a season at least,” Gortat told the Orlando Sentinel after the Wizards completed their shootaround Friday at Capital One Arena
By DY_nasty Go To PostRandle went months without hitting a jumpshot, going left, or playing any kind of defense lolRandle still can't play help defense, hits maybe one jump shot a month, and forgets his right hand is attached to his body. I don't mean they are going to have the same mannerisms. I think Bagley projects to be a dude like Randle -- bully ball with no rim protection.
Also, I'm wrong more often than I'm right. I just don't really like his game. Maybe I'm salty we don't have a draft pick.
Frustration is building in Cleveland, and some of it reportedly has to do with LeBron James and his playing style.
Some of James’ Cavs teammates are said to be irked with him holding the ball “until he sees an ‘assist’ pass.
LeBron yelled at his team during Thursday night’ blowout loss in Toronto—they’ve dropped seven of their last ten games—and told reporters that the Cavs have reverted back to self-defeating habits from earlier this season.
What's actually wrong with the Cavaliers is that they're playing better teams. They don't play any defense and they're not able to just outgun teams like the Raptors and Wolves.
By rodeoclown Go To PostWhat's actually wrong with the Cavaliers is that they're playing better teams. They don't play any defense and they're not able to just outgun teams like the Raptors and Wolves. They are currently 29th in DRtg
Cavs played trash teams during their win streak but easily could’ve lost to half of those teams, Knicks, Hornets are two examples of games they should’ve lost.
By reilo Go To PostThey are currently 29th in DRtgThe only team that plays less defense is Sacramento and they're like barely an NBA team. That's not getting any better by integrating IT into the lineup.
When Cleveland went on that tear, they were playing a lot of bad teams. The schedule got harder, they started losing games again. They'll probably still get to the Finals because the Raptors and Celtics ain't shit in the playoffs, but Cleveland isn't that good.
By domino Go To PostThere was a play in the 4th quarter yesterday where Isaiah Thomas ran a baseline handoff to LeBron near the corner of the 3 point line. Thomas ran to the corner and expected a pass back while open, and LeBron ignored him. Thomas held his arms out expecting the ball before slowly walking out of bounds and clearing the side for LeBron, looking surprised. It's one of the plays Thomas would get in Boston where he can quickly rise up for a J or reverse direction from where the defender is coming from, and he was open. You could tell his initial reaction was like "huhn"?
It's something the guys need to get used to; it's kinda funny because you look at the Kyrie Celtics, and they don't ISO as much as most people thought they would with Kyrie at the helm.
