I just spent all my money on this house in Hateno village lol.
So I have my champions tunic and did the elephant dungeoun. Should I proceed to the other diving beasts, or just fuck around and do the towers and explore?

Do what ones naturally. Even afte 460 hours, on my 4th playthrough I simply don't follow a set path
By boris_feinbrand Go To PostEven after 460 hoursWow! Thats impressoive. I'm still waiting on the switch to tell me what my playtime is, it just says I started playing 11 days ago.
Also, it rains too much.

It was at the point you're at now where the game really opened up for me. One thing though, the beast in the upper left gives you a very useful buff for exploring so you may wanna do that one early on (it's also the shortest of all 4 beasts as far as the quest line so you may be disappointed if you save it for last)

Also for rain, just keep wood and Flint on you at all times to make a fire to skip forward in time.

When I want to climb a mountain, and it rains... well, I'll just search for an overhang, make a campfire and wait it out. I really made an effort to accept the games terms, and shed all the tropes and decades of game conditioning, and it transformed the game for me. It literally felt like the first 3D game I played. It felt like the first time playing Super Mario 64.

My first playthrough came in at around a 100 hours. I first saw the Zora village about 60 hours in. First scaled Death Mountain 80 hours in.
The only real advice I can give anyone is to unlearn game conventions and just go where the adventure takes you. Before you know it, you start to experience completely unique situations of triumph, failure, involuntary comedy all your own. Everytime I watch someone else play the game I still see approaches, strategies and tricks, I never even thought about. So go wild.
