Horizon Zero Dawn’s DLC will have new skills/weapons

What we’re seeing in the DLC is a border zone between the Carja and the Banuk, it’s a disputed territory, it’s a very dangerous territory. It’s also primarily inhabited by the Banuk, so there’s been a lot of back and forth and warfare between the Carja and the Banuk, who have kind of settled into this area.
With writing The Frozen Wilds we wanted to do all the things that the main game did. So we wanted to provide a new area, a new culture, but we also wanted to give Aloy relationships to delve into and ultimately a storyline that does what a lot of other quests in the game do.
We consider it to be more of a mid-to-end game in terms of the difficulty set.
We focused on some quality of life improvements in the new skills and also added a little bit of a pizzazz. There are some cool new skills that add some new combat dimensions and some new ways to interact with machines.http://wccftech.com/guerrilla-talks-the-frozen-wilds-dlc/
We have both upgraded versions of weapons you’ve seen in the past and we’ve some brand new weapons which explore some different ways of fighting. We’ve been experimenting with some tweaks on the game’s systems and we think they’re a lot of fun to play with.
The original game alone will probably be my GOTY by the end of the year.
Definitely getting this Day 1. Sounds absolutely amazing.

Damn I keep forgetting this is coming so soon. I meant to go back and do a Hard playthrough with the NG+ feature but there's just too many gaaaaames.
Awesome that it'll have more than just a new area though. I love HZD.

Horizon Zero Dawn is on the top of my "clean up" list. I need to go back and finish a couple side quests/hunting challenges, this might be the motivation I needed to do so.
I don't replay a lot of games anymore but I've really been itching to get back into Horizon. It was just that good, and this is the perfect opportunity. I need more Aloy in my life.

I'm the same, ever since the NG+ became a thing i keep meaning to go back to it. Maybe the DLC is what i need to do so. Can't wait for it regardless, amazing game.
I keep forgetting this is coming, loved the game. Really excited to start it up again with some new stuff. Hope to see Guerilla kill it again.
This is great, the weapon is definitely the highlight of this game because depending on which weapon you bring, you get very varied playstyle that is still viable and effective.
Sometimes I like bring weapon comhination that I'm not used to bring just to force myself to come up with new playstyle, use different approach etc.

I've kept myself pretty in the dark about this expansion. I have a feeling there are going to be some straight gorgeous views.

By John Rabbit Go To PostDamn I keep forgetting this is coming so soon.Wait, it's out on November 7?! Oh, lawdy! I thought it was going to be later than that. I need to preorder it to get that 25% PS+ discount. Like right now. I got the Platinum in Horizon and can't wait to get back into that world again!
This and P5 blew me away this year. Got the HZD DLC already pre-ordered. I hope they are able to continue the wonderful, but ultimately dark sci-fi story they started with the original game.

I have one great shot of Aloy sliding down one of the ropes to escape a Stormbird in the snowy mountains. Too bad it was captured in jpg because I didn't know you could switch the screen cap settings.

I figured the Tenakth (?) was a better idea since they're only kind of alluded to in the main game.
By CopperPuppy Go To PostAny new machine reveals as of yet?Nothing that i’m aware of.
