The QO is an automatic thing on a contract. It's triggered when you become a RFA.
Teams shouldn't have to keep a player past their contract.

Do we think Zion can actually be a starting caliber center at 6'7" with a 6'9" wingspan or will he just be Julius Randle 2.
By giririsss Go To PostThe QO is an automatic thing on a contract. It's triggered when you become a RFA.QO isn't automatic, a team just have to offer it for a player to become an RFA instead of a FA.

I mean, it is kinda automatic unless you are really trash.
Capela definitely isn’t taking the rockets offer now if Jabari is making 20/yr, there’s obviously some teams willing to burn money out there

He may just take a QO.
That Jabari deal is still stupid.

p. sure only Atlanta and the Kings have cap space now and neither really need him.

I can almost understand overpaying for Parker based on potential, but how do you play he and Lauri together?
By ”Woj”The San Antonio Spurs continue to discuss a trade of Kawhi Leonard, but no agreement is close.
"The Spurs continue to talk with multiple teams on deals," said Adrian Wojnarowski.
"There's nothing on the table the Spurs are ready to do. They have a high threshold on a (Kawhi) trade."
The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors have been linked with trade talks for Leonard.
So I see three possibilities here:
A) The Spurs think the right play is to dare him to walk away from the supermax if they’re not going to get equal value, and take their chances.
B) They’re more realistic than that, but would rather play hardball and risk letting him walk than set the precedent that they can be bent over.
C) The deals in the media aren’t what’s actually being offered and they’re waiting for someone to step up with something that won’t completely embarrass them.
Congrats to Jabari for starting at SF and playing a total of 5 minutes a game at SF.
Lauri/Jabari is such a bad fit, lol.

Probably C.
Boston hasn't included Brown, Philly hasn't included Fultz, LA hasn't included Ingram.
I'd guess Toronto's offer around Derozan is less than ideal with his huge contract and him being older than Kawhi. Perhaps worst of all, he would likely decline his player option after 2 seasons right when Pop retires and you end up pretty much where you would be if you let Kawhi walk. No Pop, No star to build around. So letting Kawhi walk and tanking post-Pop is probably a better option than paying DeMar to sneak into the playoffs for 2 pointless seasons.
Their asking price (if it's indeed young budding star that they can financially control for years + picks + role players/prospects) is too high given the circumstances. My guess would be they end up with a similar package that Cleveland got for Kyrie or Indy got for PG. It worked for Indy cause of Oladipo's leap but Cleveland got hosed and now have Sexton, Clarkson and Nance as their haul.
Regardless, they have to pull the trigger by the deadline cause he's absolutely walking if they don't.

Bulls get to let two decent prospects develop and get a good 40 million + off their books in the future if it doesn't work out. They know the chance of Jabari working out is minimal but...why not?

Finals run coming
"I feel like we're going to shock a lot of people this year just because LeBron left," Clarkson said, per Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com. "I feel great about the team, coaching staff. They got a lot of belief

By DY_nasty Go To Postim not sure why parker is supposed to be terrible tbhI don't understand it either. It is a weird fit for that team though.
A 1+1 makes a lot of sense for a Parker signing.
By Moris Go To PostI mean, they have Portis and Lauri already.and what other wings? he's good at the 3 and the 4 so whatever works really
its not like he can't shoot either

He can shoot well enough but having Jabari try to guard perimeter players is a clear-cut tank strat.
