Nets acquiring 1st round draft picks in a shit 2019 draft.
Joy.
Joy.
The Spurs and Lakers are among the many teams interested in David Nwaba, according to NBA reporter David Aldridge.Don't be surprised if Knicks jump in, Fitzdale has said he will look at taller, long defenders at the guard/forward spot. Despite having zero market, Knicks aren't even offering Beasley a contract.
The Bulls rescinded their qualifying offer on Nwaba earlier this week, making him an unrestricted free agent. Nwaba is a defensive-minded combo guard who played well for Chicago last season. If he can improve his offensive efficiency, he has a chance to be a solid contributor next season.
By DY_nasty Go To PostYal ain't trying to win games thoI think Fitz is trying his hardest to change culture and get guys into that mindset in Memphis. I mean the projected draft sucks unless you get Top 3 (maybe Top 5?) and then a dropoff, dunno if Knicks will be a 15-20 win team with the tank competition they got.
Also never count out the Knicks ability to not tank and still lose.
Ay but how y'all think Chris Paul is gonna feel when he looks across the court one day and sees his best friend LeBron James in what was supposed to be his Lakers uniform.
Him gonna be looking (and feeling) really awkward tho.
Thanks, Basketball Reasons, you're the gift that keeps on giving.

Which two of these teams aren’t going to make the playoffs in the West this year?

NO
Looking at that list of teams ahead of them I’m wondering why on earth Dallas got DeAndre this year.

The Wolves barely got in last year and got worse. Ace general manager Tom Thibodeau was on the case.
By diehard Go To PostOutside of Golden State and Houston, it probably just comes down to who has the best/worst health.pretty much this

Agreed. Wouldn't shock me if the Lakers miss the playoffs though. The Cavs won 50 games in the East with LeBron never missing a game and I'm not sure there's a single team in the West that's looking to tank next year. A lot of the bad teams are stocked with good foundations now and are looking to build a winning culture (Mavs, Suns, Kings).
I love the Kings but refuse to believe they have a good foundation until they make the playoffs two years in a row.
Same with anyother team, except it's only the Pels and Grizz that I love among them.

Forgot that Denver is probably going to fall apart when Thomas destroys the locker room and everyone starts hating each other.

Carmelo hasn't been good in a couple years now. When he stopped being able to get to the line, his effectiveness was shot. I don't know what the Rockets see there.
http://www.nba.com/article/2018/07/13/boston-celtics-jaylen-brown-wanted-lebron-james-stay-eastern-conference
The basketball cognoscenti has largely awarded the 2019 Eastern Conference title to the Celts now that James has left for the Lakers, and that bothers Brown.Like, I can't hate on his enthusiasm but that's the kind of thing where you say it and your teammates quietly are like "Dude WTF you doing shut the fuck up!"
"To be honest, I wanted him to stay,” Brown said. “I was kind of mad. I wanted to be the team to go through him, you know what I mean?
“I felt like we could have had it last year, but we fell a little bit short. But I applaud somebody doing what’s best for him. He did what’s best for him and his situation.
“I wanted him to stay in the East. I don’t like when people say, you know, now that LeBron’s gone, y’all are the favorite. You know, that irks me. A lot of us, we feel the same, because we feel like whether he was there or if he wasn’t there, we was coming out (of the Eastern Conference).”

By Red Blaster Go To Postreplacing ariza with mcw and melo should be at least -5-7 wins for the rockets at least
Ennis
5 games worse puts us at "only" 60 wins
the algorithm isnt perfect
You would expect it to be better with all the recent hits they have gotten from Laker fans checking to see who they had on their team.

i'd probably attempt a trade in the summer honestly, no point bringing him to training camp really
I'm pretty sure he was always going to do this in order to get more money that isn't limited by the rate increase you can do in an extension.

does his pay scale change? I don't think he's approaching his tenth year in the league
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postdoes his pay scale change? I don't think he's approaching his tenth year in the leagueIn extensions, you are limited to 20% raises, iirc. When he goes into UFA, there is no such limit and he can get whatever his years in the league qualified him for.
The Bulls didn't give him a max on this past contract so it affects what can be offered in an extension more than usual.

wonder if ainge is plotting with all this smoke with kyrie

Andrew Wiggins is making more per year on his extension than Butler would be. So yeah, turn that down.

Randle is out here saying that "This is my first time in 4 years I've had to do a defensive skill drill." This can't possibly be true.
