By Pac-12 Go To PostYou're getting years 16 through 19 of LeBron. Don't count your chickens. His body could start going at any time.
Maybe he'll start taking PEDS
By domino Go To Postpsshh that's what the NikeLab is really for. Lebron has an Arc Reactor in his chest.
Well, yes, my post assumes he's still mostly human.

He punched a chalkboard 16 through 19 times and broke his hand on purpose, and his hairline *still* grew back.
Also, Space Jam 2 with Bill Hader and Metta World Peace guest appearances is going to be awesome.
They should really just call it Incredibles 3 instead, frfr.

For those who missed it, Ayton beasted last night.
Gave a shit on defense, set hard screens, much quicker with his decision making, scored in a variety of ways, got up and down the court with urgency. He still needs some conditioning work but it was probably the most impressive performance in SL so far.

if capela decides to just take the QO since he isn't getting the offers he wanted from Houston he would be unrestricted next year. ouch.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI never hated on G-TYME for leaving. It was not fun to watch him go, but whatever. He had an opportunity to go play for his college coach again and to escape the western conference.
diehard and jeff dropping that salt lake voodoo on gordon omg let him live
I would like him to know that I have 3 boys though. I'm done having kids, and I went 3 for 3.

If you have some time, this is a pretty thorough dismantling of Carmelo Anthony’s career:
Carmelo Anthony was never a top 5 player. Not even once.
I still kinda stick up for him on the basis that at the end of the day he’ll have scored more points than almost anybody who ever played the sport, but...yeah. He benefited by playing on second rate franchises who let him shoot way more than a team that had any idea how to win would have.

Carmelo has always been easy to hate on because it's always been painfully obvious that he's been one of the most overrated players in the league. I never understood the love he got in the media or from Denver or New York fans.
By Mariosalic Go To Postgirls are better.This. Y'all can have those little dudes in your house challenging you for dominance and shit. It's all tea parties and kisses over here.

By domino Go To PostDid anyone ever think Melo was a top 5 player in the first place?Yeah, there was a time early on where he was seen as the 1a to Lebron. He finished really high in MVP voting a couple of times. He won scoring titles. He was on the banana boat. He won the Knicks’ only playoff series since Alan Houston back in 99-2000.

Wade, Dwight, Kobe, Nash etc were always seen as better players.
Wade vs LBJ matchups were amazing.
Melo got a lot of support in no small part due to the large contingent of Bron haters early in his career. I was guilty of it myself. Its been a dead convo for years but it should have never had any life to begin with.
Melo just kinda stopped getting better. Then he lost his athleticism and thus his game of contested jumpers became even more inefficient and his no fucks effort on defense stood out more. BUT the meme that he was never good is a bit much.
even as a former bron hater i could never in my life say w/ a straight face that melo was better than him at any point.

LeBron's a scrub, Melo is better.
LeBron's a scrub, D-Rose is better.
LeBron's a scrub, Max Barnes is better?
LeBron's a Laker! GOAT!
#RunItBack
in all honesty, I think they'll go with the original deal with a player option in the 3rd year--good long term security with the potential to still cash in down the road in his prime
The Melo thing will fail spectacularly though.

Lol no. That would be a bargain for the rockets.

By Mariosalic Go To PostLol no. That would be a bargain for the rockets. He has had 1 great season, 1 ok season, and 2 bad ones. I don't think they should break the bank for a dude like that. He has improved every year and fits the Rockets system perfectly, but you can't tie up your cap with him.

I don't blame the Rockets for letting the market decide the numbers. Most of the time some troll tank team will force you to max a good but not great player, and the Rockets lucked out here. Issue is consistency...why didn't the same thing apply to CP? Nobody was paying CP anywhere near that. So I'm definitely feeling a certain type of way if I'm Capela.

By Mariosalic Go To PostIf he walks you replace him with a bench warmer that you have to start. If bigs like capela were that easy to find then you'd be on to something

Let him go out there and see the sights, argue with Simmons about what a PG is, then skip the interview in Sacramento to come back ready for a discount.
No one else was gonna give him anywhere close to 40 per

Yeah.
Capella gets paid because, while he's replaceable, Houston can't afford to let him go. THEY can't replace him, being capped out the way they are.
4 for 60 for Capella is about what he's worth. To any other team in the NBA.
To Houston? He's a 4 for 80 guy.

By s y Go To PostHe's not passing on 15 mil to take the QO. Hell end up like Noel.
About half the league will have max money next offseason, as long as he has a solid season he'll walk into more than 4/60
