By Frustrated_me Go To PostI love everything, everything about this picture. It's a great picture.
I hope Juve will consider Sarri for the after Allegri. I'd love to see what he'd be able to achieve with a bigger budget and less penumbra.
By Killer7 Go To PostRudiger has a bit of the Mangala's about him. That Christiansen lad is decent though.I like Rudi a lot. And yeah, Christensen was amazing that second half. Hope he benches Captain Cahill forever.

Is this Leo Varadkar bloke a good dude (relatively speaking)? He was in Montreal today to march in the pride parade with Justin Trudeau, apparently the first foreign leader to march in one of our pride parades.
@Frustrated have you ever went to the one in Montreal? Toronto's pride parade is awesome.

Barca has ended their interest on Coutinho.
I wonder what will be Coutinho's excuse to get back into the team.

I wonder what will be Coutinho's excuse to get back into the team.
He's too vital for that to be a good idea, but then again we'd be a better team if Sakho was available
Regardless, don't think we've reached the end of this saga by a long shot. Expect a big unsanctioned Coutinho interview, leaks about his strained relationship with Klopp, reports of broken promises, the usual shite
Would be delighted if we could both keep him and have him back in the team before the window closes though

Falls apart anytime I think about it.
I'm actually enjoying Game of Thrones more now.
Even if the plot falls aparts at least I dont have to sit through a lot of 15 minutes of exposition anymore.

All I could think about was that no one can travel from Blackfriars to Mayfair within five mins. Not on the tube nor plane.

Reminder, there's a difference between expositions from a show like say, Mad Men or Breaking Bad than Game of Thrones.

Exposition isn't bad, but it's always so tedious in Game of Thrones.
It's largely a shit story, but people like it because it's oh so realistic in killing off all of your favourite characters (but only when the plot makes it ok)
By Perfect Blue Go To PostIs this Leo Varadkar bloke a good dude (relatively speaking)? He was in Montreal today to march in the pride parade with Justin Trudeau, apparently the first foreign leader to march in one of our pride parades.No.
Is Trudeau still quite popular? He seems quite bad on climate change, which is the area I work in. Obviously that's a problem for everybody too.
Game of Thrones was actually smart once. Characters were a step ahead of you, outthinking and outsmarting their opponents and the viewer subsequentially in every episode. Now the only smart think that happened in this season was abandoning Casterly Rock. Everything else is as dumb and predictable as a pubescent child can imagine.

Claudio Marchisio has been linked with a shock exit from Juventus before the transfer window slams shut.EH?
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Marchisio no longer feels “central” to Juve’s project, while the club do not regard him as “unsellable” any more.
if he truly wants to leave then #bye

Staying calm, strange how most arsenal fans seemed so confident of us getting back into top four with on addition.
We are absolutely fucked.

Spurs also finished 11 points ahead of us last season.
I don't think Game of Thrones execution of its political intrigue has always been smart. Still, it differs from a lot of shows by actually killing off characters, whether they were popular or not.
What matters for me this season though, that the series always had the threat of the Night King from up north. Now with that being literally near the doorstep of The Wall wall, would you rather have the story still about The War of the Five Kings, or how they are desperate to handle that problem at hand?
I'd rather they focus on concluding the series like how they are trying to so for now.

Spurs has become Arsenal, and Arsenal is Spurs.
By Laboured Go To PostDidn't even get to see the Arsenal game on Saturday. What was the mood among the Arsenal faithful?
Quite good on my side mate, I'm well aware of where we are as a team and honestly top four is an accomplishment as things currently stand.
We're actually probably suffering from a bit of an identity crisis tbh, we're not really a good counter attacking team, but we're pretty shit in possession now as well. Which will result in us praying sanchez can bail as out every other game, really surprised we were able to make him stay.
Rumours say we need to ship another four out before bringing more in, which with just over a week to go I'm not holding my breathe.
This isnt going to be a pleasant season for Wenger, as soon as bad results rack up the mood is going to turn on him so quickly it'll be toxic for the club. I'm shocked he didnt know this when he signed, at least if you can go out and spend 130 million or wateva you can say I've tried to address the issues. Instead we will be fed the same drivel about football being a team sport, players improving etc
We should probably take all this to the Game of Thrones thread, but...
I never thought the show was 'high brow', per se, but I also never felt it to be an insult to my intelligence. No longer. Game of Thrones isn't a show for analytical people, but for people who merely gawp at computer-generated violence.
With the exception of the occasional episode like Hardhome or The Door, the threat from north of the Wall has been negligible and forgettable. We have approximately one-tenth of the episodes remaining, and the White Walkers still haven't made it south. Even this season, it's been almost exclusively bluster about how they're really, actually, honestly coming this time.
The fault undeniably must be attributed to George. It's the first thing introduced in the series, but will apparently be one of the last dealt with. He didn't intend that from the beginning, exactly, but he lost his way. The trudging around in search of every strand of narrative and the chaotic results it produced gave rise to the series's interesting material, but in that same process George failed to properly integrate everything, including what were, from the first scene, supposed to be the ultimate antagonists.
Edit: I didn't realize spoilers negated simple post formatting, and even line breaks devolve into their markup. Reilo, please: you now have your most pressing concern; abandon everything else.
By Ciaran Lannister Go To PostI feel sorry the people wasting SEVEN YEARS of their valuable short lives watching a show they don't even enjoyI enjoyed most of the first four and elements of the last two. I am now, however, failing to enjoy anything but some stray bits. The show can still manipulate me through the occasional sluice of adrenaline, but even in those moments I recognize it - not retrospectively, but contemporaneously - for the inanity it is.

It's really just a show based on a bang average series of books as far as fantasy goes
Two books being good doesnt erase the rest. This show is exactly what ASOIAF deserves, and more.

Three of the five books are fantastic, and 4 and 5 have enough moments in them. And they're also WILDLY different. Books 4 and 5 have dove into politics far more so than the previous ones, while the show has become spectacle over everything.

But can we move the discussion to the GoT thread if that's okay. I am scared of spoilers.
