Edit
Also don't let racism continue
Black cats are less adopted because they're "bad luck" and don't show up in photos clearly.
Get a black one m8

By HottestVapes Go To PostSo my Mum happens to be a hench with hoarding. Due to some recent events, she’s in hospital and I’m left dealing with clearing out her home by a fire marshal’s request.
Lads, the shit I’m seeing here is absurd. 300 unopened packets of angel delight, 6 wardrobes full of unused towels, bag upon bag of wool.
None of it is really filthy or dirty, just fucking wacky.
It's really mesmerizing what hoarders tend to keep. Be glad it's not just garbage and dirt.
Throwing everything away or giving the stuff to a local donation point?

WOAT pet
By Smokey Go To PostWOAT petno, that's fish
I don't think there is a woat, depends on why someone wants/needs one. I will say though Ferrets that smell, yikes.

Some stuff, like wool I’m just compacting down and keeping for her. Same with clothes. Storing it smarter instead of the current cluttered mess.
The kitchen tho, all them appliances, Tupperware and out of date food is getting bushed.
Books and DVDs and shit like that is going to a charity shop.
Been working on it all day so far. Cleared out half the kitchen including a spare fridge. A spare fucking fridge!
Yeah I have a hard time calling a fish a pet. But even then, they are above cats, as they wont randomly attack you or just be terrible creatures.
I've never had any pet attack me other than cats, and that has happened countless times. Just sitting there, a cat wants attention and you give it to it. All of a sudden it got its claws in your leg or something because it's a dumb ass shit pet. Say no to cats.
I just never had this issue and I've dealt with ferals. Sounds more like it wanted to play and the owner hadn't taught it how to play sans the claws.
imo it just sounds like cats are the worst. staying with a seattle family for a few months, who had their house full of fucking cats was the worst. one even shat in my bed, when i locked it into my room by mistake. what a horrible time.

By DY_nasty Go To PostCat is traumatized as fuck. Hiding between doors like Smokey. I'll get some pics later
that's usual for a cat in a new place. Just need to give it time, food and a litter tray.
@Dy, how old is the cat? Think generally you want to restrict it to one or two rooms for a bit, and increase its access to your home as it gets used to its surroundings.
We got pretty lucky with ours, she wasn't much of a bolter, scratcher or hider, and was already litter-trained. Strangely unimpressed by catnip though.

By Hitch Go To Post@Dy, how old is the cat? Id kinda prepared a spot in advance that was out of the way but it instead claimed this odd space in my hallway where two doors just happened to be opened creating a closed space in between.

I was really more concerned because cat tobenamedlater wasn't eating at all. Checked in today and she opened up a lot. Food and treats do nothing though.
Day 2 of the great clear out. Unearthed two unused TVs. A flat screen Daewoo and a Polaroid. They’re not even good teles ffs why keep them?
In any case, been back and to the tip 4 times with two cars full of shit from the house and I still don’t feel like I’ve scratched the surface yet.

Someone might need it" and stuff like that.
