By Moris Go To Postyea, this past rookie class was booty butt cheeks.
Fultz is gonna glow in summerleague, I don't think anyone else is in as good of position as him to show out.
Simmons? Curious if Ingram plays better after his post ASG improvements too.
By diehard Go To PostGeorge Hill is an upgrade over Rubio, if you don't see it you are crazy.
Probably an upgrade for 2 years, but I'm not sure if Hill will have anything left in the third and fourth years of that contract.

I think the only thing George Hill does better than Rubio is shoot, which is not worth spending assets to acquire.

I think Simmons is gonna be really good, but he's not playing in SL.
Fultz has been playing 1 on 5 his whole college career. I expect that in a meaningless tourny where guys are playing with strangers more or less, that he attempt to score on most possessions himself.
Fultz + Simmons has potential to be a really crazy duo. I'm not confident Embiid can stay healthy.

Ingram's playing summer league again? Breh better light it the fuck up.

You know I sorta just figured Simmons would play since he missed all of last year and I figured Ingram would too since his first year was less than stellar and both D'lo and Clarkson played their 2nd years.
EDIT: It seems Pelinka confirmed Ingram will play in a "handful" of summer league games.

This guy looks extremely generic, wtf.
His face looks so similar to other top high school big men in prior years.

Hope I'm not being racist here and will apologize if I am :(
His face and his cheeks and his smile just look like a lot of other high school big men.

By joefu Go To PostIs there gonna be a Big 3 thread or just use this?
We probably should make one
This camera angle makes no sense but it's nice to have basketball during the summer. Hope Big 3 does well.

Possession by possession, there are a few defenders who are as bad as Wiggins. When Wiggins contests a shot, opponents have a 56.1 effective field goal percentage; when they are unguarded, they have a 56.4 eFG percentage. Fundamentally, getting a shot up against Andrew Wiggins is the same as getting an open shot.Is that bad? It seems bad.
Wiggins’s deficiencies are too many to list quickly, but at root the issue seems to be basic effort. He barely jumps to contest shots, doesn’t run hard to close out, and gets lost watching the ball.
But the truly destructive part of Wiggins’s defense is how much of it there was. In the way that defenders like Draymond Green or an in-his-prime Tony Allen seem to be in all places at all times, challenging seemingly every shot on the floor, Wiggins is omnipresent in his awfulness. He defended the 10th most shots in the league, by far the most by a below-average defender. Most teams do their best to hide their weak defenders, but opponents seek Wiggins out like no other defender in the league.

Happy for Giannis. This and the defensive team award, plus flat out dominating a handful of playoff games.
