Whew
Started rewatching Mindhunter with some visiting relatives.
Guess I forgot about Ed’s detailed sensory comparison between fuckin an asshole and a neck 😬

I forgot to get around to S3 of Hannibal and I regret not watching it sooner. It immediately being set in Europe makes it fucking incredible.
I started up The Gifted. On episode 4. Could be a better show if they would stop trying to pretend like they’re a premium show. You’re network. Be network.
LOL the internet trying to turn the end of Vice Principals into some sort of Lynchian pump fake regarding Goggins life or death is rather amusing.
Just finished Stranger Things S1 over a 2 night span, and now I'm going to be working on 3 hours max of sleep.
Great show. Watched S2 trailer and shit look like it gets real.

Saw the 300th Grey's Anatomy episode today, Portugal is one week behind the US in terms of airing the episodes, which is frankly amazing and has made me watch the episodes on TV instead of doing through "alternate" ways.
I know I am probably the only one on SLAENT who has this opinion but I truly love that show.
Alex's long monologue about how he picture Izzie's life is an example on how you still really want someone who hurt you to be happy and is something I can relate and almost all of my male friends can't relate.

By Kabro Go To PostWait, you watch Grey's Anatomy willingly?Have done so for 13 years. Yes, I know that's not the "manly" thing to do but I really like it.
When you spend 13 years watching characters have a natural growth, it's easy to get attached to them and even more when their age kind fits with yours.

Shonda's best show by miles. Probably the most grounded of her shows imo.
Anyone watching Punisher?
Finished the final two episodes I missed of The Deuce just now. Excellent first season. Wish they would've gone ten episodes. Eight didn't seem like enough and there was more they could have gone into. But whatever; show is already renewed for a second season.
Also watched the first two episodes of Showtime's, SMILF. Not bad. Something fresh with good humor and Connie Britton. The lead, Frankie Shaw is great, and her mother is played by Rosie O'Donnell who is also good so far.

Watched the first season of Shot In The Dark in two sittings.
It's ridiculous how little Netflix promoted this, they don't even have a trailer for it in their YouTube channel and there's very little articles about it online.
I really liked it, it was tense as fuck at times.
Hopefully it's successful enough for a season 2.

Besides this weird C-plot involving a seemingly random soldier, these early episodes are easily more consumable and far better made than the other Marvel shows. There's no weird supernatual subplot, either, and they are just focusing on finishing Punisher's plot.
By Omzz Go To PostBojack horseman got really good in the 2nd seasonI love Bojack. I just started the 4th season. That show really goes places. It's crazy how they nail depression. I still can't tell if it was a good idea to start it after the darkness that was the election last year but I'm glad I did.
While I really enjoyed the 4th season of You're The Worst, I'm conflicted on what they decided to do at the very end. Because of the show it is I understand why decided to move forward with the engagement being back on. I can go horribly and remain faithful to the title of the show. One the other hand, I would have been fine with Gretchen going her own way and not going back to Jimmy because he fought for her, I think the emotion of that scene was fantastic and having it be a fake out of sorts, hurts what it ultimately meant for her.
The 5th is the last so I will be there for the ride.

By s y Go To Postheard it's trash like all the other marvel netflix shows.
Daredevil is nothing like Iron Fist,
Yeah definitely one of the better shows Marvel has done but at the moment not holding a torch to daredevil and I dont think anything will from marvel shows again for while.
Dont get me wrong DD is flawed (hated that supernatural BS) but yeah there's just alot more to like about DD at this point (Fisk for starters)
I'm up to ep 4 of Punisher. Haven't watched any of Marvel's output on Netflix, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. It seems alright so far.
By Kidjr Go To PostDaredevil is nothing like Iron Fist,Marvel shows have always nailed the big bad, and you're right that this is lacking a singular antagonistic force that helps carry the show.

However, I find everythingn else sensible about how they wrote this. There's no comicbool trope pretense of the hero struggling to keep two identities, etc. The show is just very raw and straightforward. None of the other bullshit (except one minor C-plot but it barely exists) that dragged down other Marvel shows on Netflix.
jon bernthal's performance as frank castle/the punisher is on another level
i liked the series, it drags in the middle but the beginning and the end are great.

Riverdale is a trip this season. I'm glad they're focusing on the Serpents. Betty still as crispy as ever.

Im about to finish the 4th season and really enjoying it. Mr peanutbutter is the best
By domino Go To PostRiverdale is a trip this season. I'm glad they're focusing on the Serpents. Betty still as crispy as ever.Still need to watch this week's episode (Netflix putting out the episodes weekly here is a godsend) but it has been a very entertaining season so far.
By reilo Go To PostYo wtf, I put on Star Trek: Discovery, and this first episode… is super legit??yeah its a legit good show lol
Riverdale was fucking good this week although I'm over this mystery killer plot. I really enjoyed how they broke up the plot lines and showed how they all kind of connect. Thought for sure we'd get a Sabrina nod this ep
Tony Todd still getting to the bag lmao.

I'm on the second episode of Punisher and the violence is definitely making me a bit squeamish. The show isn't bad, so far.

Watched 6 episodes of punisher...They couldnt find anyone better to play the homeland security agent? She sucks
Show is okay so far. I really do like bernthal as punisher though

Watched the first three episodes of the Amazon Hugh Hefner docudrama that's made up of interviews and footage over the years and then also acted out by a cast portraying the real life events. I can't believe it's ten episodes long, but so far, it's pretty entertaining. I'm going to stick with it and see it out.
Started and finished Glow this week on Netflix. Really, really enjoyed it. Great casting and Marc Maron and Alison Brie are shockingly good in their roles.
And I like how it's a cast of 90% woman yet, not a single one is portrayed as the "mean girl" or troublemaking bitch that acts out to justify her existence, only to come around and learn the lesson of her ways. They avoided that cliche completely and the woman are depicted for the most part as professionals learning the wrestling business in a very believable way.
Netflix have home runs for me with American Vandal and Glow. Easily two of the best I've seen this year.

New season of The X-Files is getting good reviews. First episode is apparently bad but the four others screened to critics were an improvement on Season 10.
