I kinda like the move of Jah to Portland.. If they don't give up much for him at least on O it would give them a great inside out game

crazy
By Toronto StarThe urgency of not knowing is a good way of putting it, because what happens next is the real unknown. Yes, the front office has toyed with trade ideas all season. The Raptors inquired on Millsap, but the price was Patrick Patterson, Terrence Ross, a pick and a prospect, and then the Hawks went a little squirrelly anyway. The Raptors have weighed Orlando’s Serge Ibaka, a power forward who can hit threes and block shots. But the concerns over his declining big-man numbers and future salary have outweighed those positives.
But more, the faith that such a move tilts the tables enough to pull the trigger has not coalesced. So with the trade deadline two weeks away, it’s becoming clear: Millsap isn’t coming. Ibaka isn’t coming. The big swing that some in the fan base are clamouring for isn’t happening. Right now, even a small tweak doesn’t seem to be on the table.

The Raptors were fun while they lasted.
Portland traded Plumlee for Nurkic and a first.
Denver got robbed, Nurkic wasn't playing, but he still has a fuckton of potential.

Whoa. So Portland now has 3 first rounders and avoids paying Plumlee a ton of money this summer. I'm gonna guess they're not done dealing. Finally Olshey does something.
I'm gonna miss Plumlee. Not sure how Jurkic fits. I always forget he's Bosnian so yay countryman.

Denver has THE best passing front court of all time now lol.
Jokic and Plumlee average more assists than some backcourts.

By reilo Go To PostPortland gave up RHJ for Plumlee on draft night, so I'd take this as a win if Nurkic pans out.
Did you guys really need another wing?
Anyhow all those middle of the draft picks is when the majority of bigs are suppose to be on the board. It actually shows a level of foresight I haven't see from your FO in a while
Russ is averaging a triple double and I think he's third in MVP standings behind Harden and IT
he probably won't get any nods but Boston is pretty good and he's a big reason they are

By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostDid you guys really need another wing? This was two summers ago on draft night. They could've traded for a PF which would've meant Meyers starting and I would've boycotted.

Still it's working for ya'll. They could likely get their picks of the litter of Bigs or take BPA at 11 and trade 21 for a decent starting big. I doubt Markennen is there but they could make a decent offer to a team to move up a few if he makes it to 7 where he is usually mocked.
Also, pretty sure this gives Denver a real edge for #8 unless Portland does a serious trade before the deadline.
I would think Denver needed a PG rather than another center. And they gave up a possible lottery pick?
Oh. Why does everyone have extra picks in this draft? Everyone but the Knicks...
And I guess that deal is alright for Denver then, Nurkic has been pretty bad this year. I just don't see the long term fit with Plumlee. Can he guard 4s?

It's cool we're doing what we're suppose to do. Also we can get likely a late pick or two for Lee and O'quinn. The issue is they want to move Melo first......
Good move Portland....Meanwhile my Pels seem intent on getting Okafor for a first rounder.
Goes to show the differences between good organizations and bad ones. And once again show that in the long local debate of the Demps method vs the Hinkie method, Hinkie won. And it isn't even close.

Michael Rappaport just called Dolan/Phil incompetent on national television. Not in an interview, in a produced monologue segment with music in the background.
Lets get this L!

Good trade for both teams. Sorry to see plumlee go, but his cost is gonna be way too high for his skillset and this team's needs. Meanwhile, an asset rich denver gets a great backup center at the cost of a middling first rounder. Well done!

By reilo Go To PostI totally misread that like a dumbass, my bThe funny thing is I'd be okay with the trade either way. You think we can get rid of meyers too? Every team would strongarm us for turner's contract, and crabbe is overpaid but fits into the system, so I'd assume meyers is the next logical trade piece..
Shit, come to think of it, both moe and aminu are super valuable if another team were willing to take on meyers' salary.
If we pitch in $10 each, do you think it'll be enough to buy Meyers Leonard out and have him not play, like ever again?
Dolan brought Sprewell to the game. First time he's been to the Garden since he fell out with Dolan. lmao
Damn, if Nurkic isn't ready to go tomorrow night, that means I'm gonna have to watch 30 minutes of Meyers -_-
By Kibner Go To PostDell method or Benson decree? The age old question lol.
I tend to be in the camp of "its a bit of both." Mashed together and made into a dish no one should be forced to eat but for some reason I continue to swallow it hoping the next bite will be tolerable.
....Jahlil did not make the flight and both Ajinca and Moore are likely out for "personal reasons" again. Something is clearly brewing. At least in my paranoid mind.
By Jonm Go To PostThe age old question lol.Sounds like those 3 are in the deal. They're just sorting out the rest of it.

By reilo Go To PostPortland got Cleveland's first rounder in the Korver trade somehow. It wasn't a part of the Korver deal. This actually happened the day before that trade.
Cavs traded you their 2017 pick, to get back the 2018 pick sent in the Verajao trade.
Why? I dunno.
By masud Go To PostHave you guys watched Nurkic this season? He looks like a slower Greg Monroe.Plumlee was going to fetch a max or near max this summer from someone as an RFA and I think Portland would let him walk at that price. They essentially gained two assets for a guy that wouldn't have been on the team next season.

I think it will greatly depend on how Nurkic turns out. If he can play any level of defense. Otherwise Portland lost a starting C for a 20th pick. Not that i think Plumlee was the cornerstone of the team or anything, but this doesn't appear to be as clear an upgrade as is being made out. And the rest of the C rotation in Portland is garbage.
It's hard to judge Nurkic 100%. But he's never been more than a 18mpg guy. It's a huge risk for Portland.
Atleast Denver has it's C rotation sorted out. They now need to get rid of Farried ASAP.

I assume they're banking on that fortune again with Nurkic, but we'll see.
