By s y Go To PostIs Jokic better than Towns?
Now, yes. In the future? Ehh. KAT has the athleticism to be a great defender whereas Jokic is not a good athlete so we'll see how they develop defensively.

Good God. Please trade Melo at this point. It seems like it's what management wants and a lot of fans want. I want this drama to end already. The Knicks are fucking trash and I'm sorry...but Melo deserves better.

Whoa whoa whoa Why is it a morality issue to want to let Melo go to get assets back to build around KP? Even when they gave Melo the NTC I was here saying that it was ok because if they can get any assets for him it's better than letting him walk and they get nothing back.

So the Nuggets got considerably worse without Melo? :)
Let's be honest. The year of his draft he took them from lottery garbage to 8th seed and made them a .600 squad surrounded by lame ducks years later. And after Melo left, the team kept getting beat in the 1st round of the playoffs thereafter in the years to come, it's almost like that team and Karl were destined for it. And unfortunately, the closest to a great player Melo came to playing with on the Nuggets was Chauncey, but he was already considerably worn down and not as good as his Detroit days.
Melo needs to stop looking for big markets and settle at playing for a talented small market squad that has a legit chance at making a playoff run. But unfortunately he's NY's damaged goods and I think a lot of teams will shy away from him. He's got too much baggage.

It's the public bullshit and fuckery of how it's being done. I don't mind letting him go, I really don't. A part of me thinks the team would be better off. But the way the organization is handling it, especially with Jackson's stupid ass tweeting and comments is just disrespectful. That's my problem with it all.

By unknown Go To PostThey still never did anything in the playoffs since then.In the modern era???
Nuggets went 10 straight seasons in the playoffs with one of them hitting the conference finals. The longest streak the Knyicks got was 3, and lost in the second round. Every year in the modern era, first round losses except that one year.
The Knyicks haven't been relevant in the playoffs since the 90s and before that.
Denver fleeced the Knicks in that trade and they've been the better team almost the entire time since.
the weird thing is Gallinari has been kinda disappointing too.
I was going to bring up that throwaway pick they gave up that turned into Hayward but ..
I was going to bring up that throwaway pick they gave up that turned into Hayward but ..
Both first round draft picks that the Suns acquired in the Marbury trade were later packaged along with Tom Gugliotta and a 2005 second-rounder (Alex Acker) and sent to Utah for Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten. This ended up being a terrible trade for Phoenix, as neither Clark or Handlogten appeared in an NBA game after being acquired by the Suns. The Suns did it worse, damn.

Ball or Fultz. Fultz is the sure thing but Ball due to his size might fit better next to IT as a SG

Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy was quick to point to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, a guy who coached under him. He cited the rarity of leading a team to four straight NBA Finals, the way Spoelstra piloted the Heat in 2011-14.firespo.com
“There’s not a better coach in the league than Erik,” Van Gundy said Friday. “People discounted him because he had (LeBron James), (Dwyane) Wade and (Chris) Bosh. Gregg Popovich is one of the best ever. Phil Jackson best ever. Nobody goes to four straight Finals. Nobody. He did. OK?”
Van Gundy called the Heat this season’s best coaching job.
