must suck to be napier
only reason anyone knows who he is is because lebron told the heat to draft him, then lebron left

Doesn't Jimmer need the ball in his hands to be successful? I don't think many teams were comfortable with letting him run the offense, even with the 2nd unit.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posti guess other fans of teams would know better–why has he failed in a sixth man scoring role?cause he got drafted to the Kings as a guard. that's where futures go to die.
IT2 is an outlier.
By reilo Go To PostFor a minute there I thought you were talking about Shabazz Napier and I had like 3 paragraphs written about how he's Kriss Dunn bad and I didn't know wtf you were smoking.Dunn might suck, but he'll always be the Rookie of the Year of Dy's heart, though.
Britt Robson wrote in the MinnPost that Dunn's ceiling is probably Tony Allen. It's useless on this team and he'll never play over Rubio or Wiggins/LaVine, but maybe if he tries really hard, he'll be able to make an entry pass to the post when he's 26.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posti guess other fans of teams would know better–why has he failed in a sixth man scoring role?Because he won't "settle" for that and also doesn't have the handle to succeed in that role against NBA defenses, anyway.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostNBA Comparison: John WallCan't shoot for shit...but is super fast tho.Emmanuel MudiayKris Dunn
De'Aaron Fox???
John Wall.
scouts are really lazy with their comps. Wall's body control and ability to finish is one of his better traits. Mudiay isn't that fast and Dunn can't finish. Time will tell for Fox. He at least went to the same school so thats added. He isn't as filled out as Wall is either.
Dunn (48%) is worse than Rubio (51%) around the basket. It's unfathomable.
In order for him to become a productive player, he basically has to follow the Rubio path of playmaking, mid range shooting and getting to the line and I'm really not confident he gets there given his age. Dunn really struggles creating for others, his shooting is abominable and even if he did draw fouls, he can't make the free throws. You can't be 23 and a project.
But whatever, it was a lousy draft. I wanted Jamal Murray and he isn't lighting it up, either.

By reilo Go To PostKibner! http://stats.nba.com/impact/I posted about that a couple weeks ago and even used it in some kind of discussion!
Appreciate you looking out, though! :)
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIs DeRozan the next version of the MJ/Kobe mold?
Kobe literally gave him his magic shoes.
Not until he learns to shoot threes.

De'Aaron remind me of Jennings if he wasn't light af. But not as developed a scorer yet.

Phaze, read this article to get an idea of the extent to which DD wants to emulate Bryant: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18184330/demar-derozan-quest-take-kobe-mantle

nice, wish they could have gotten a kobe quote though
so did he play enough games to win ROTY? I'd give it to him anyway
edit: 31 games, yikessss, thought that number was closer to 50 -_-

Bring back Larry Brown. He'll teach all those young guys how to have knees the right way.
Kind of not joking.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostI want a bad DeRozan rap album. But have you seen DeRozan in a Master P video?

By Omzz Go To PostBut have you seen DeRozan in a Master P video?
I want him to drop bars about watching Game of Thrones on his laptop on a Friday night then getting to bed nice and early.
But that video with the beat that sounds straight out of a "brought to you by Ford Explorer" sponsorship spot is good too. He was 75% of the way there with that mean mug.
lakers ahead by 3 games against the sixers in the tank off
sixers *should* catch them, but it's going to be a battle
that draft lottery is gonna be sweaty af

we in contrast, feels like we got a memo from GMagic to tank like never before.

After the Lakers took out the heavyweight Hornets last night? Dude, the Magic era is flexing already.
Sorry Sixers,
there is still a lottery. Imagine tanking so hard only to still lose your pick to the lottery gods. Its cool tho...I think the top 10 is pretty deep and we should be in position to get some type of guard for once. Hell if Embiid is truly dead...we could always use a pick for next years draft that is full of bigmen atm.
i expect the lakers core young guys to get on a hot streak at the same time and have a better record than the sixers by a game when its all said and done

I think Luke is a smart enough coach not to let that get in their way. This really is kind of an all or nothing situation for them at this point.
The Lakers have to do everything they can to keep their pick this year because doing that means they don't owe Orlando a future first.

no!
nothing can stop this tank.
