Ibrahimović is such a legend. I love him so much. United hero.
Didn't think we were going to make it, but they (or rather he) proved me wrong.
Huzzah!

Game looked to be heading Man Utd's way since the 60 minute mark or so, if not in the 90 minutes then in extra time.
I'll give congrats to Carrick. Don't like him or his prehistoric play, but it is efficient. This is Ibra's trophy. Soton played so well, but the last 20 minutes or so were just a tired out team that missed nearly every pass. They would have been shit in extra time.
According to BBC match stats (which may be inaccurate) Southampton actually managed more possession and shots.
They have quite literally been doicared. United are still always unlucky though, right?
Nb, I didn't watch the match so.I have no idea about 'deserve' or any of that crap.

Delighted.
Commiserations, Kane. Thought Saints were excellent today, and probably deserved the win in terms of overall performance (and of course, got fucked over by the ref).
But we did play a team that hadn't let in a goal in the competition, and had two weeks off, while we were coming back from France midweek... and we scored three. The character and fight in this team is so far beyond what it has been the last few years, and Mou has to be recognised for that.
Three players stood out to me in that second half when Saints were pressing and had the momentum. And surprise surprise, the three players that have stood out all season.
Antonio Valencia never ever stopped running. Ander Herrera pressed from the front from minute one. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 26 goals at the age of 35 and sets an example in his fight and work ethic every single game.
Delighted with the season so far.

By Laboured Go To PostCouldn't even beat us with a two week holiday before the game. Pretty shit tbh.Disgusting. #Windup
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostUnlucky KP, your lads should be proudNo he wasn't. He was largely ineffective for the majority of the match. He made two good plays.
Zlatan was the difference
The difference was clearly the blown first goal.

Saints were the better side for like 90% of the match and had an onside goal disallowed.
It was a great match. United were clinical.
Southampton marked themselves out as moral and actual losers when they started that whole Coldpay-esque phone torch thing. Utterly disgusting,
All the Zlatan can't hack it comments earlier in the season.
Man is on 26 goals so far and still enough time to get 30+. At 35 years of age.
Amazing.
