By batong Go To PostWhy do you have to be a Chelsea fan…No one's perfect, boo.
I played Link's Awakening before ALTTP. Maybe why I love it more, but absolutely adored the quirky setting and side quests.
Btw I'm going to be dead tomorrow, but all worth it in the end.
By Laboured Go To PostThe funeral scene in Hunt for the Wilderpeople is the fucking best.Lovely film.
By Zabojnik Go To PostWe made it, lads.Get in.
5M$ for that 8th companion seems more than doable with slacker backer money, I'm just happy sentient weapon is in. Give me another Lilarcor.
Is it too late to back for a digital copy?
By Phlebas Go To PostGet in.Absolutely not. You can back through Obsidian's portal (PayPal is an option, unlike through Fig). Requires an Obsidian account.

Oh bioware... I wanted to believe
Zelda LTTP is probably my favorite game of all time. Link's Awakening is a great game too, but LTTP's atmosphere was too good

Sex was surprisingly well handled in W3. Not perfect but it was a lot more mature than Bioware's puerile titilation.

Always found Zelda games to be excellent in so many ways re: pacing, atmosphere and general design but never found them to excel in one particular mechanic.

I bet you still banged Morrigan in DA.
What I really like in Bioware games in comparsion or in ME's case, those bounding moments with different characters, fractions and races.
I don't give a damn about Shepard banging anyone in the game, but solving all those conflicts, whenever they were personal (ME2 loyalty quests) or those rather big ones like Geth/Quarians or Krogans/Salarians was really one of my main motivations.

It was well done, though, I should finish it soon..
By Lunatic Go To PostTW3 has spoiled us when it comes to facial animation.Didn't think it was anything special in TW3 tbh. Then again, when I played LA Noire I thought it looked weird more than anything

Facial was ok but the accompanying body animation was very good. Not rigid or an afterthought.

That's definitely true with the later Zelda games, everything after Majora's Mask. But the original LOZ and LTTP were perfection in terms of dungeon design, combat and exploration.

By Freewheelin Go To PostForgot how good Leon was, both Gary Oldman and Natalie Portman (her first film role!) are sensational.Lucy is good actually.
Wish Besson would go back to making small films like this, Lucy was awful :lol
Nioh's combat is sensational but I think Bloodborne's is well better. Just being faster and complex doesn't necessarily make it better.

I'm starting to think Nier Automata is fucking brilliant
Not for the reasons I think most people like or enjoy games. I don't expect it to review well, but it's really touched me on several occasions. This is gonna be divisive in terms of review scores and I imagine average out in the mid 70s.
But it has some moments of genuine rare brilliance, the kind you can only get when you have an auteur at the head.
Yeah. You must be around the same point I am!

Yoko Taro is probably one of the best game writers in Japan.

By Hitch Go To PostWow, this weekends fixtures are trashI don't care about EPL football this weekend. Go on Stoke, bukkake us as always.
The only legit thigh-rubber is postponed for the final
Odd, m8. Sometimes, those are the best games to play.
By Hitch Go To PostBruv Stoke are averaging like a 4-1 defeat against the top 5That just means they're due a win and they'll get tomorrow.

I agree completely! Just saying, I think it's gonna be, like most of Yoko Taro's games, very hit or miss with the audience.
I don't wanna spoil it though so I'll just let it be for now.
One thing I like, is that Nier Automata is well paced. Cutscenes dont overstay their welcome.
Also for all the gripes people make about Nier Automata being overtly sexualised... it probably has some of the best writing for female characters in any games. Sure, there are some sexual stuff added (through gameplay) here and there but those things can easily be avoided.
Really impressed with the story, and dialogue so far.

I've played it about 8 hours so far probably and I don't know how close I am to the end but it doesn't feel like I'm at the end of the game. There's lots of side stuff
By Facism Go To Postis it 7 hours long like some babbymode whiners on GAF think?Yes it is if you just focus on the main story, but it's a game you have to play at least 3 times to get the full story.
There'll be differences in each playthrough though.

I'll have to check my playtime but it feels like I've played 7-8 hours or more and my weapons are only half-upgraded, I've only been able to afford maybe 2 pod upgrades out of the 10-ish total, there are areas I know of but haven't unlocked entry to yet, there is a level 40 enemy I have yet to beat, and so on.
I get the feeling that if you're finishing it in 7 hours, you're doing the bare minimum, which is fine, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

Do the enemies in Nier become more varied? I remember fighting the same clunky bots in the demo, seemed to be the case in many preview videos.
Of course Zelda will get higher scores, it always scores high.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostOf course Zelda will get higher scores, it always scores higher. It's as if developers set out to score higher than each other instead of just making the best game for their vision. It's literally not a competition.
Just a reminder that dragon age inquisition that everyone shat on yesterday, is still one of highest rated games on average this gen.
Metacritic scores is much more than just a competition in the modern game industry. It's... Extremely important.
