Sorry Spurs lads. Alli really fucked you over, but some of the players need a good fucking kick in the rear.
Let's see which Spurs side shows up on Sunday...

It's that they've been a good side for a number of seasons now have nothing to show for it. Winning a trophy can instill a winning habit in the side to go on to bigger things.
Or gloss over the problems.

As deranged as Alli was, the corner kick was the key moment. We had to keep a clean sheet, their first attack and we let them score.
I think we put in a good shift with 10 men.

Football Weekly may have good guests but they barely get any time to talk. It's why I stopped listening.

It's pretty hilarious, mostly how upset people are at his simple dumb tweets. Scrabble with Pol Pot for sure though.
I don't enjoy him much on football weekly either though. Really it's only Jimbo's terrible puns that sometimes gets me listening.

United are in a (somewhat) similar boat. While we did win the FA Cup last year we're also back to square one considering we've started over with new management since. The EFL is our best chance of silverware this season and could, depending on the final outcome, benefit our team in the remaining competitions.
I believe the tie against Chelsea is detrimental and this weekend is the first hurdle to overcome that obstacle. No matter how silly it may sound.
0-0 was good against Ludogorets, when already leading 2-1. Happy to be through, especially with two of our normal midfielders suspended. Matic did fantastic, and the just turned 19 Keita was decent as well. Showing a lot of promise, but still clearly not quite ready to challenge for a starter position. In a years time I fully expect him to be though.
Attacking was terrible, almost no chances created. But Ludogorets is a full on counter team, so we were happy just to sit back and defend the league. Now bring me United.

Couple of bands never heard before, plus I don't really listen to hip hop.
I do have a lot of sympathy for Ranieri, and in many ways it is unfair.
But... It still makes quite a bit of sense to fire him now. They bought in some new better players than last season and should certainly stay up. Wildly over performing for one season means little, when you underperform the next. Can question if they are really under performing, but I would say they are good enough to stay up, and a relegation is too big a risk, especially if he has lost the faith from the players, as crazy as that sounds.

It makes sense. But it's cold.
Mönchengladbach's comeback was amazing. Sousa and Fiorentina need to be ashamed of themselves.
Dieter Hecking, though... What a manager!

Lovely interview with Mata by Gary Lineker.

Just watched 12 Angry Men again. GOAT. Wish there was a remake every 10 years with exactly the same script but different actors giving it a go.
Gimme dat Tom Hanks Juror 8. Dat Philip Seymour Hoffman corpse/Michael Shannon as Juror 3.
I wonder what (or rather when) Roy Andersson's next movie is. I need my decadent Swedish fix.
Maybe I should finally give Kislowski a go.

Usho is the most consistent Spurs fan here and I actually feel worse for him more than ever. They've been more disappointing that even Liverpool this season (not this year) and he's been stalwart and he's taken his lumps. He also has a great avatar.
I respect fans that keep a single team and are consistent with it. This was a tough loss today and I only like those losses on Dallas Cowboys fans (yet not the latest, that was horrific, even for them) and Man United fans. Still enjoy watching Spurs if I don't root for them. Alli needs a mental checkup after that tackle and his shock at getting a red card. He hit a guy that every one on the field knew had a bad knee. It was revolting and cruel and that guy needs a long time off to think about it.

Respectable.
It's official, Matt Reeves (Rise/Dawn/War Of The Planet Of The Apes, Cloverfield) is directing The Batman.

They are above relegation, but not by much. It is a bit crazy to give him the heave-ho at this point. We can likely measure the amount of games that he should be let go in less than 3 now. How it will matter between him and whoever manages now will be interesting but likely not unusual.
The team is above relegation, will they stay there? I wouldn't bet on it.
Reeves didn't direct Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which I actually thought was better directed than Dawn. Actually, better period. Either way, Reeves is a competent, safe choice. DCU is fucked either way.

He's a decent choice. WB will still fuck him in editing, but it's probably the best DC movie we'll get with the current batch.

It's certainly no law of nature, that a new manager gives the team a boost. But in the case of the players not being all that happy about the current manager? Probably, at least more likely than not.

By n8 dogg Go To PostPochettino will be at PSG within 3 years #bookitI actually wonder if their inability to kick on will mean he leaves for Barca this summer. Should be interesting. He seems like a guy to me who will just get so frustrated by the lack of progression that he'd decide to move on again if given the opportunity.
