This is Renault's R.S. 2027 Vision F1 concept. As the name suggests, it's designed to showcase what a F1 car might look like in ten years' time.
Had an Easter weekend with family and finally saw the race and the first 1/3 was almost to good. Really hope RBR/Renault bring a update so that mid-season, without Bottas tire pressure issues, we could see those tree teams race each other.
Great win, shuts up last years "they do not know what they are doing" strategy comments. It's just so much easier when you have a car that can compete. Bottas after Saturday had an awful Sunday and needs to step up, before he officially becomes like that other Fin in a top car (#nr2).
Best thing this year we are going to Sochi and I could not tell you who wil win, how times have changed!!!

Next race weekend started with two FP sessions today and we are at one off the typical late in Bernie's carreer locations; "someone spending someone else their money to promote/legitimise his/her country" --> Russian GP-Sochi.
Mercedes vs Ferrari round 4
Normally I would say a typical Merc power track, but the Ferrari engine, even though it does seem to come with a reliability issues (already on 3rd turbo, 4 for entire season), has caught up this season.
Results so far, Ferrari best balanced (tire temps front) so far, rest struggles to warm up fronts (without overheating rears)
and not a track for Renault/Honda powered teams :(
And we are at race 4 !!!!! and Stoffel has switched to his 5th engine and will start last (grid penalties) :groundhogday.gif:
Lamest track on the calendar. Hard on fuel, easy on the tires. What teams can we expect to do well? My guess this would be a Vettel win as the Mercedes still has some grip problems even though their engine top notch. For the midfield however I have no idea. I'm expecting one of the RB13's to shit the bed.
It's going to get harder and harder for Sky (C4) to pretend Palmer is good enough
And Alono patting him selve on the back, is getting more annoying week by week

Merc engine mode to the rescue
Stroll 1 second slower, again and it is starting to be the usual suspects (Hulk/Massa) in Q3 again.

Great decision by Sebastian to change to a two (out)lap warm-up, he gained a lot on the 1st sector, compared to his previous laps.
lmao wut
While the fight for pole was raging on between the Mercedes and Ferrari drivers, it was a different battle all together going on behind the leading pack.
Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo in his usual self revealed about an 'apartment' bet with teammate Max Verstappen and Williams' Felipe Massa.
The Australian said the highest finisher among the three could give away his apartment for the weekend as a prize.
"We all live in the same building in Monaco - Massa, Verstappen and me so, we might have a little intra-building battle tomorrow [Sunday]," he joked.
"Massa or Verstappen, they’ve both got pretty good-sized apartments, so maybe they can give the winner their apartment for the weekend as a bit of a token gesture [it will be good]."
Verstappen laughed and added: "I have got the big party lights, so they can join in. If I am in front then yes [I'll be the one celebrating]."
And finally, Massa responded to it: "I hope I win and then I will not give."
For Saturday, Ricciardo came out on top of the two as the Aussie finished fifth ahead of Massa and Verstappen.
Post-sessions, both the Red Bull drivers admitted that they expected this kind of results coming into the weekend as the Sochi circuit is 'not one of their strengths'.
For the race, they are aiming to salvage as much and stay ahead of Williams, who are in a battle with Force India in the championship.
Please don't fuck up too badly Kimi.
If he can stay ahead after the first corner than it should be a 1-2 finish.

Stroll
Bottas might win this.
I knew RBR was going to have a shit day. Max had the same problem last race, ffs.

Bottas needs to keep it up in last part of the race, but yeah he looks very good right now.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostWe surely need to go for the undercut.will not work as well on this track, takes time to get up to speed with the difficulty of getting temp in tires (smooth track)

Good to know cheers.
And just when you think it is all done and dusted, Valeri's usual late race "concentration" is here to help out.
40 laps on the softest compound, well done Pirelli ;)

Traffic ahead, MAs/Hul/Oco who are getting to a point that they are fighting each other.
Still possible for Sebas.

By Spengo Go To PostWtf massa, cunt.Just bad luck :doicare: ;) , but you cant go ofline in that "corner", so I'm ok with that.
Big win for Valeri, no more 2nd driver talk (for now) and Vettel gains on Lewis.
Rest needs extra pace, bad luck for Massa and Force India again picking up points!
Here comes the mafia.
Kimi looks so enthused by spraying that champagne, fucking hell :lol

I know race strategy is one of those things which you never truly know will go your way, but SKY said early in the race that Ferrari had been very aggressive in the first two races, but not this one. Vettel should have pitted earlier.

We have had 3 different winners in 4 first races which is good. This tracks needs to disappear though.
