I had NAT 2 for a whole week, everything was gr8.

Then it started behaving like NAT 3

Then it finally became NAT 3 and everything sucks again.

Try putting your PS4 in DMZ, you fool.

I had NAT 2 for a whole week, everything was gr8.

Then it started behaving like NAT 3

Then it finally became NAT 3 and everything sucks again.

It isn't uncommon to have that kind of problem with connections if you're using you router without any kind of setup. DMZ could help you a lot. Try to search how to use it on your router. I could help you, if you need it.

That is the model of my Router (old as). I used those settings and applied them, and NAT 2 was achieved. But as explained numerous times, the NAT 2 suddenly became NAT 3.

So here I am.

Do you know how to access your router's setup page?

If you put 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 on your browser you should enter the setup page. If it asks for login and password, it should be admin for both.

Now, you have to search for an option called DMZ. On my router, it is on NAT/ QoS and the DMZ.

You will choose a IP to use on your PS4. Put 10 on the last digit, per example, and then click enable DMZ.

Open Comand Prompt and type ipconfig. Press enter. You will get the Subnet Mask and Default gateway (dg is the ip that you used to enter on your router's setup page, you could use the ipconfig comand to find out so you can acess the setup page). You'll need both ips. Copy them.

Now, go to your PS4. Settings - Network - Set up internet connection - Choose lan if you use cable or wifi if it is wireless - Custom - Manual.

You'll have 5 ips to insert. Ip adress is the ip you put on DMZ on your router (XXX.XXX.X.10 in our case). Subnet mask you got from the ipconfig. Same as default gateway. Primary and secundary DNS i used google's 8.8.8.8 primary and 8.8.4.4 secondary (they work great for me). Click next.

MTU Automatic. Proxy Do not use. Click test connection. BAM it's done. FF is back on the tournament.

This is the way i do it. My connection is ADSL2, it comes from my phone line. Modem to router, and router to devices.

It could sound complicated, but it really isn't. I'm a real noob on network and i did this. You can too FF.

If Zabo could simplify this, it would be great, My english sucks :(

Your english is fine and so are your instructions. The thing is my modem does not have something called a DMZ its named something else. I found the DMZ, but i was not able to enter the ip of my ps4 manually it would not let me. Instead it gave me a list of devices. So I selected the PS4 that way, applied all the settings with port forwarding. Gained NAT 2 status, was happy for nearly a week, then it decided to act up and screw me over. Now I am stuck on NAT 3, I re-did all the settings again to no avail. I will die with NAT 3.

Well, that sucks. I don't know where to go from there. Maybe you should buy another router. Do you know someone form your region that uses the same ISP and have the same issues that you have? Ir they don't, than you could try other routers.
