this is just a way of trying to kill the wiretap story without trump coming away looking like a complete loon
POTUS doesn't dictate who's under investigation/surveillance lol. Trump really thinks POTUS has unilateral omnipresent power. If that was the case, Hillary would've never been under investigation.
If his communication was "incidentally" collected, doesn't that mean the team was in touch with people they are investigating? How is that good?
By KingGondo Go To PostNunes is a clown and that doesn't seem like big news. Also, yeah, nobody has been carrying water for Trump in the way Nunes has lately.
If I didn't know any better, it's like he's distracting people from an incredibly toxic health care bill that goes to vote tomorrow. But I feel like that gives Trump and his stooges too much credit.
By KingGondo Go To PostNunes is a clown and that doesn't seem like big news.
It doesn't have to be. Even that Politico headline is pretty disingenuous to the actual news. Think of what it's going to look like on Breitbart. There's a whole world of people on the right who only get news filtered through those sites. This is going to come across as total validation.
Why is it that these jackasses GOPers that are all about prosecuting fellow Democrats are always the ones breaking the law and doing exactly the things they are accusing others of?
Wait I just read this and this is all just a talking point for the republicans
Note Nunes called it “incidental collection” which means the Trump team wasn't the target. The Trump Team was talking to the people being targeted. Its not the FBI's fault Flynn called the Russian ambassador directly...... if you do your going to be logged.
Then the whole unmasking thing is just a bird whistle that basically comes down too "why wasn't this storied buried so we could ignore it?"
All of this is just so they can lie to their sheeple constituents.
Nunes is playing a dangerous game and I find it telling none of his Dem colleagues knew he was going to do this. I wouldn't be surprised if they shit on him something terrible going forward. I am pretty sure tomorrow they will all be making the rounds explaining how fucking stupid this was and I wonder if they can ask that he be removed from his position?

Honestly, the saddest thing to me about the AHCA is that it could be submarined by politicians who think it is too generous. So many rank and file Republicans are cool with a bill that will strip their constituents of health care to go along with a guy that wasn't even a part of their party until like a year and a half ago and who they didn't even want to get the nomination. The rest of them want to tell people to fuck off all together. It's lunacy.
Real lives are at stake here. This isn't a fucking game.

I think he will as Nunes too

It kind of would be a blessing even before this Nunes has seemed out of his mental depth with his position and I believe would be much happier as a toady than having to make decisions. Even how this is happening shows a lack of awareness of the situation. He could of implied stuff and maybe had a meeting with the WH as part of his own "fact gathering" and it would of given him some more deniability than what he actually did.
Does the select community have any standards at all? Gotta imagine this would be grounds for removal from the committee, but I don't know much about their process in that regard.
Yep Nunes just got told he is out of his mental depth. I think this is going to lead to an independent investigation which is even more serious since it will be made up of people who are chosen specifically for their ability to deal with these kind of issues
Nunes saying he can't present the info to the intel committee or Schiff because he doesn't have the documents is amazing
He's basically went public with classified info.

The GOP and WH/POTUS with all of these unforced errors, jesus. Obama and the dems weren't even near as incompetent in the entirety of his first term, and still got annihilated in the 2010 midterms.
I am going to laugh so fucking hard is Nunes pulling this shit is the reason an independent investigation is called for.
LMAO ... John McCain is upset at Nunes and is now saying he would agree to an independent investigation but that at least a select committee required. Doesn't understand Nunes actions.

True, I don't expect his blabbing to amount to much, but his talking illustrates clearly that Nunes running to Trump isn't being seen as vindication by most IMO.

This goes against the core of being a civil servant. like corruption 101 stuff
Interesting article/video of Senator Feinstein saying they are trying to pass some laws that will force Trump o divest from his businesses
Referencing recent trips to Dubai by Mr Trump’s sons, Donald Jr and Eric, where they opened a new golf club, she said: “I think sending sons to another country to make a financial deal for his company and then have that covered with Government expenses, I believe those Government expenses should not be allowed.

Schiff just said, probably emboldened because Nunes cut his own balls off today and can't criticize the comment, that "he's seen more than just circumstantial evidence" regarding the Trump Russia stuff.

Washington (CNN)The FBI has information that indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign, US officials told CNN.
This is partly what FBI Director James Comey was referring to when he made a bombshell announcement Monday before Congress that the FBI is investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, according to one source.

Ohhh man. Anyone else think this leak to CNN happened rather conveniently after today's Nunes fiasco?
The words and ideas and images are in his head, but damned if he can synthesise and prioritise and suppress and reflect and all those other fancy things.

Can't believe the House is in total panic mode right now about the AHCA and Trump is likely
Trump winning may have been a blessing in disguise. Hillary in power without majorities in the house and senate would have been just as trash if not moreso than Obama's final two years.
I'm not saying I'm happy for all the bad that is happening under Trump by any means, but a very strong light might be at the end of the tunnel.

That FC shit aint passing through the senate though.....
Hell that shit might not pass the house beause it sounds like the FC want's damn near a complete repeal of the ACA which is great for them cause they are in the deepest of red counties (aka the Afghanistan mountain equivalent in America) everyone else in the house is going to have hell to pay if they repeal the majority of the ACA especially the repubs who are in purple or traditionally blue counties.
Those Town halls weren't an aberration.... they were a warning

Did ya'll here about the amendement which would essentially be a tax raise for NYC residents to cover the cost of the rest of the states healthcare...... Shit like that would cost Danial Donovan his seat..... and he knows it.
Which I just post to show that this AHCA isliterally going to have the republicans destroy themselves to get it passed. I expect a lot of other moderate republicans to see it more or less the same way

I think it's going to pass the House now. I think Trump will give the FC what they want and it an even more awful version of the original AHCA will be sent to the senate where it will die, either by lack up republican support or by Dem Filibuster. This is why I think obstructing Gorsuch right now is perfect timing. Mitch gotta protect his moderates in the senate from the crazies in the house and having Dems do that for him is beneficial.
Either way we are gonna find out soon!
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWhile I agree with this I still think it's a shame. Gorsuch seems like the best possible pick a far right President could make to the Supreme Court and were it not for the Garland Incident, he would have sailed through by at least 70 votes. Trump is going to be upset and nominate Scott Baio next lol

Garland would of likely been voted in as well..... but politics is a bitch and amateur Trump should of sent somebody up to be sacrificed and then pivoted to Gorsuch
