She'll either die in office or we'll have to mount a herculian effort to primary her. She fucking sucks and she needs to gtfo California.
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostIt's only been a handful of votes. Let's not get ahead of ourselves
This is accurate. The votes are essentially just protest votes as well.
A Herculean effort might not even be enough either. Her name recognition is stronk.

Yup, and the only vote I have issues with is the Pompeo vote so it's whatever at the moment. This week is the real litmus test.
By reilo Go To PostNot get ahead of ourselves? Feistein's been pretty aintshit for a while now.
True, but then that should be your metric and not just how she votes with Trump. I personally don't like how she just sides with Israel on everything.
Hopefully the Dems are united in filibustering Trump's SCOTUS pick.
I don't know what else she needs to do in order for the response not to be "*shrug* good luck getting her out!"
If it's not this, then what will it take for Californians to put up a primary challenge after everything else she's done?

So Trump signed a law that says for every new federal regulation a agency has to get rid of two.....

By birth she kind of has to blindly support Israel or she'll be blacklisted. Isn't that what they do to Jews in CA? How would she get a ticket to temple during the high holidays if she voted against Israel interests? What would Spielberg say? It's bad for business!
Seriously though, as an East Coast person, she's the first name I think of now that Boxer is gone.

I'm not a fan, man. I'm just saying lets see how she votes on actual issues the Dems have some control over before labeling her regarding Trumps shit.
She's gonna be a Senator until she decides not to be., unfortunately.
Shes not in a state where the Evangelical vote will crush her for not supporting Israel and the Diaspora don't see eye to eye on every issue the state of Israel has. There should be some wiggle room for her.

Farmer Pete is a good God fearing man and I'm sure he's going to maintain the same high standards he's always had while handling his meat and produce and won't be cutting corners at the cost of my health to save money. Nope, not Pete.

Just saying that the past five votes do not constitute a catalyst for a change in your opinion.
If you thought she should've been primaried before these votes happened, you should still maintain that position. But if you don't think she should've been primaried before this, nothing here should cause you to revisit that opinion either.
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostJust saying that the past five votes do not constitute a catalyst for a change in your opinion. That's not what I am getting at. I also don't agree that I should've called for her to be primaried earlier -- I've only been in CA for 20 months. I'm trying to make it clear that the many Californians in here should be calling for her to be primaried especially today but all I am hearing is "give her a chance" and "she's too stronk, nothing we can do". That's bullshit.

Went to the LAX protest.
All lanes of traffic in and out were shut down. I'm super sick now tho, worth it.

people like sage steel need to fuck off and die. idc if that makes me an asshole but im tired of people bitching about protests fucking up their perfect privileged lives.
protests would be fucking useless if 10 million people gathered in montana. its supposed to be disruptive, its supposed to get you to think about why they're protesting but americans are garbage and only concern themselves with the how of a protest
i hope people like her have the walk their luggage 5 miles next time.

Picking an appropriate venue for a protest is important and you're spot on Blaster. The only time I disagreed with a venue for protests is when Occupy decides to protests busy bridges and such that act as a gateway for people to make it to work. I find those times to be inappropriate venues for protesting because you're inconveniencing the people that need it most/you're trying to protect.

Really.
Yeah, that one reads like fan fiction, especially given that they're replying to individual people all day. It would not be hard for some agency to figure out if someone in power decided that constituted a security breach.

Orange County writes the biggest cheques.
Oh, yea, which is why I scratched my head at comments like "why speak up now/why not vote to see how she continues to vote?".

What do you have against her, specifically? She's not perfect but has a good track record on immigration, healthcare and gun laws for example.
Pro NSA/Mass Surveillance, pro Iraq War, pro Patriot Act, pro Drug War, wants to ban strong encryption post San Bernandino, pro Capital Punishment, history of anti-speech (Flag Desecration Amendment), anti (at least not pro) Fairness Doctrine, pro Online Copyright Infringement, AND she voted for Bush's bank bailout.
Pro Iraq, Drug War and Patriot act seems to fall in line with both Obama and Clinton, who both you and I were strongly in support of. Like I said, she does have a good record on other progressive issues to. She's a moderate Dem with insane name recognition in California. I'm not a fan of hers for the reasons you list, but it's going to take a major fuck up during Trump's presidency for her to be primaried IMO.
In the meantime we have an actual democrat putting up a bill in the House that basically lets Trump go to war with Iran if he wants to

His immigration ban was stayed & will probably be shot down. There are still mechanisms of control in place that are working. His approval rating is less than 50%, he doesn't have the popular will behind him - which means he'll struggle to keep congress behind him. So it's not likely to come to all that.
What is far more likely is an erosion of civil rights advancement achieved under Obama and a general poisoning of the well regarding the dignity of the office and the way it perceives it needs to conducts business.

There was an interesting article that postulated that all of the firings at the state department were timed with his EO's in order to gauge how agencies would react and plenty ignored the judicial order to stop.

I'm hesitant to believe any theory that ascribes multi-layered master plans to the things they're doing, or have done since the republican primaries. It's all fired out so quickly there's no way they're putting this much thought into things. I really believe this is all every bit as impulsive and id-driven as it seems.

The worst is American tank divisions rolling up the 401 from Niagara Falls, they'd be outside Toronto in like 2 hours.
I don't have any anti-tank spray.

I would agree if it were just Trump calling these shots. I highly suspect, and it's been reported, that Sessions and Bannon are helping him craft his executive orders and the timing and chaos caused were intentional.
Athletes need to stop playing and stand with us. I can't sit here and enjoy watching sports which is almost meaningless at this point while the country is in panic mode. Does not feel right. Fuck.
Amazing that Rubio and a bunch of others are going to just take State being ordered not to talk to them.
I mean, that's got to get somebody at least a little bit disgruntled.
