Random question: If Corporations are considered people in America, why do businesses also not have a progressive tax system based on whichever would work better (a) amount of revenue per year or (b) amount of profit per year or (c) whatever else would be a better identifier?
By RobNBanks Go To PostYou’re thinking too muchThe GOP mantra.
You know, guys, I know this is not even the topic of discussion right now, but whatever mistreatment people think Hillary Clinton has been or is being put through, it will be all for naught if the Clintons still think it's a good idea for Chelsea to be involved in politics.
It's a good idea only if Chelsea wants to run as Republican though. Then, by all means, please.

Why shouldn't she be involved in politics?
It's more than just running for national office you know. If she wants to run for city council in NYC, she should.

Because she's not her own person as she will channel her shill mother and has the last name of Clinton. Duh
Like I don't get the concern. She's not running for president in 2020. If she thinks she can beat Carolyn Maloney or Jerrold Nadler and grab their congressional seats then let her.
She'll almost certainly fail and all your fears will be for naught. And if she wins, that just means NYC still likes the Clintons. A lot. BIG SHOCK.

So today I found out Bank of America is another of one of those American corporations giving employees those $1000 bonus checks and citing Trump's tax bill as the reason.
By Smoke Dogg Go To PostSo today I found out Bank of America is another of one of those American corporations giving employees those $1000 bonus checks and citing Trump's tax bill as the reason.ALL of the banks are saving billions. BoA is near the top of them.

Beautiful Trump, bestowing glorious 1000$ bonuses on all of us. Interested to see public opinion over next few months, if seeing some extra money actually makes it a positive to people.
do these people think they can just freely like and support ISIS bs on facebook and other platforms, and FBI isn't going to pick up on it? Idiots.
By reilo Go To PostAgain, some of them announced this months ago or eas negotiated by their unions. Don't fall for it.Oh, I'm definitely not falling for it. I've been bitching since day one how all these fucking corporations are in collusion with Republicans in a conspiracy to completely destroy the poors of this country by making them poorer.
I'm like Nikki Haley, I'm just taking names and I won't be forgetting.

He’s absolutely on point though (bill Kristol). If the point of the tax break was to give people bonuses, why not just give them that direct. Is Trump turning Kristol into a Keynesian? Lol

I think we posted at the same time. I was following up and not editing ....
To your point. I’ve argued with two types of libertarians. Those under the delusion that removing federal programs and taxation would lead to some Utopian existence and those who are in it for the glorious freedom of it all. I’m. It sure which is worse lol

They just have a child's understanding of how human behaviour works. The whole reason governments evolved in the first place was to mediate human drives in social interchange.
A world without governments? These clowns want to live in Bladerunner 2049. As long as you've got an economy based on transactions of capital, you're going to have an economic thrust towards monopolization. You're just replacing governments appointed by the people with corporations who own the people. If he thinks taxation is theft, try a future where society is run like Foxconn.
"We'll just boycott like it's the 19th century" says libertarian shill that can't get another internet provider besides Comcast when asked how we'd keep corporations without government oversight to do the right thing by cosnsumers.

I’ve argued with somone who suggested corporations wouldn’t put out dangerous medication minus FDA oversight because if they killed somone, people would never buy their medications again. There are so many layers of stupid to that

the video on 'taxation is theft' no joke starts off with "what's the difference between sex and rape? consent." and i was just immediately put into that weird place of this guy is really watching this dumb shit and thinks its making great points
I want to know how fast a world without copyright laws turns into MGS4, with corporate proxy militias launching 'bloody nose' attacks against rivals to stop their knockoff iPhones. Hopefully the brave patriots of Libertaria will be able to get off work in time to spontaneously organize a volunteer militia to stop them.
Dear Lord,

When you pin these people down, in the end they're always just small-government conservatives with no idea how things get paid for. "Of course we'd still need a military. And a local police force. And a fire department. And..."

I'm sure it's like anything else, with a spectrum of opinion from "leave me alone on my farm and let God take care of the rest" hardliners to "maybe we just need to tax corporations and not people." (Or vice versa).
I'm sure there are Libertarian intellectuals, though I've got no idea who they are. There's probably a terrible reddit you could read if you wanted to know more.

NPR recently released a series of podcasts that focused on different aspects of the orange fuck from his associates, business dealings to Celebrity Apprentice. One of the producers from the show was interviewed and he basically said that Orange fuck would say the most despicable of things while discussing who should be let go from the show and that it was all recorded. The interviewer asked what type things, like against blacks, minorities, Jews and the producer basically said yes and that no one at the show tried to stop him. Someone at NBC needs to release these tapes.
People had/have shit on him for all kinds of stuff and sat on it because they wanted him president too for their own insipid greedy goals.
It wouldn't have mattered. If anything those Haiti comments would get enthusiastic nods from those that voted for him.

Fucking libertarians. I know one and he's of course a straight white guy in tech. He's hardcore and Rand/Ron are his heroes. He got offended when I dared say Republicans are racist. Dude went out of his way to defend Milo at Berkeley because free speech. And he had the hottest of takes in Jan or Feb on FB. I shared it with a friend so just checked messages and here it is. The best part was besides one white chick who was clearly Dem/liberal all his friends agreed and didn't find his take absolutely insane like we did.
"Long term bet - one of these things will happen in the next three years:
- The Trump administration will announce a massive new infrastructure project in solar, wind, and renewable grid tech, to create thousands of jobs.
- The Trump administration will announce a huge overhaul of NASA and a plan to return to the Moon.
- The Trump administration will sign off on higher immigration targets to encourage more legal immigration."
I love libertarians. I love how some are contradictionary simply because they think they see between the lines.
